Dosh App Review – Worth Downloading or Scam App?

Dosh AppWelcome to my review of the Dosh App. If you are thinking about downloading this app and earning some cashback on normal purchases then you are going to want to read this first.

In this review I’ll be going over a few important things that you should know beforehand… things like how it works, how much cashback you will get, complaints and more. If you know me then you know I’m into getting cashback and have reviewed multiple other cashback apps/programs. So I’ll also be comparing it to others so that you know if its your best choice or not.

Dosh App Review

Dosh is a cashback app that pays you a little cashback on ordinary purchases. Dosh is partnered with a bunch of stores, restaurants, services, etc and gives you cashback for spending money with them. They offer cashback for both online purchases and in-store purchases which is really nice.

One of the best parts about this app is that it is extremely simple to use. There is no need to upload receipts of anything like that. They make it easy and hassle-free for people to get the cashback they deserve.

How It Works

After downloading the app for free you will have access to all their cashback deals. As I said, they offer both online and in-store deals.

Online

The online cashback deals are pretty straightforward. You shop through them. You are directed to the actual online store. Your purchase is tracked and you get your cashback.

The online cashback offers are great and all but its the in-store offers that Dosh is really great for. You don’t see many good cashback programs/apps that offer many in-store cashback deals but Dosh does.

In-Store

The in-store deals are location-based obviously. In the app you will be able to view all the local cashback deals. You can sort them by distance which is nice and convenient. The amount of deals you will have available is of course dependent on how many stores are in your area, but generally speaking I would say Dosh brings a fairly large amount of local deals to people using the app. They are definitely one of the better in-store cashback apps out there for this reason.

What is really nice about their in-store cashback program is that you do not have to scan or upload receipts. You will just have to scan your credit/debit card and the purchases made with it at participating stores will be tracked automatically.

Another thing that is nice that you don’t see all that much with cashback programs is how Dosh offers cashback at fast food restaurants. For people who buy fastfood a lot this could be a big deal.

Referrals

Like most of these apps, Dosh will pay you to refer other people to join. You can earn up to $15 (this changes at times) to refer other people to join at no cost to them. If you would like to help me out you can join through this link here: Dosh.cash/join

You will also get a $5 bonus if you use my referral link to join which is nice.

And thank you if you do!

How Much Cashback Will You Get?

There is no set amount of cashback that you will get. This depends on the place you are spending money at. You will find some places that offer 10% cashback and other places that only offer 2%.

I would say that you can generally expect to earn anywhere from 2-6% cashback, which is actually pretty darn good. As I said, I’ve reviewed many cashback programs before… TopCashBack, ExtraBux, ShopAtHome.com, Complete Savings, Less For MeDrop Rewards App, etc… Usually you can expect to earn 1-4% cashback on most of these sites. So the amount that Dosh pays back is on the higher side for sure.

Once you get $15 in your account you will be allowed to withdrawal the money via Paypal or direct deposit. They are quick about getting you your money.

Complaints

Lack of Stores

For in-store purchases as I’ve said it is very dependent on where you live. If you live in a very rural area this might not be that great for you. But if you live in a city there is a good chance there will be plenty of offers.

And of course when it comes to the online offers there are plenty for everyone.

Doesn’t Work With Every Credit Card

Dosh does not work with every credit card brand out there. As I am writing this they work with Visa, Mastercard, American Express. People have complained about it not working with Discover. This may change in the future however.

Glitches in the App

Then of course there are complaints you will find about glitches that there are in the app. These are inevitable when it comes to technology like this so I was expecting to see this. But overall I would say they do a good job at keeping their app running smoothly.

Conclusion on the Dosh App – Worth Your Time?

Overall I really like what the Dosh App brings to the table. It provides both in-store and online purchases and makes it very easy to receive cashback from in-store ones, which usually isn’t the case. It also offers a good amount of cashback has a lot of offers available for in-store purchases which you don’t see all that much….. So, ya… its a good app.

Another app that you should take a look at is Ibotta. It is one of my favorite cashback apps out there and is particularly good for in-store grocery shopping.

If a little cashback isn’t for you and you are looking for more, you might be interested in this program. I’ve been a member since 2015 and make a full-time income online with it now.

The Drop Rewards App Review – Is It Worth Your Time?

Drop appWelcome to my review of the Drop Rewards App.

If you are looking to get some cashback on the purchases you make, which you should be looking to do, then the Drop Rewards App is one of many cashback apps out there that gives you the ability to easily do this. But is this app any good? Is it legit? Or is the Drop app somehow a scam that is going to be a waste of your time and put you at risk? In this review I’ll be going over all you need to know…

Drop Rewards App Review

The Drop App is a pretty cool and helpful app, but its nothing new. Its pretty much the same thing as the Dosh app. Basically what this app does is automatically grants you cash back on your purchases. Whats nice about it is that you just hook it up to your credit or debit card and that’s it. It will track your purchases and give you cashback when its able to.

With this app you can get cashback on all sorts of purchases: stores, restaurants, you name it. But you won’t actually get “cash”back right away. You will earn points which can then be redeemed for rewards of real value.

The Point of It?

They don’t tell you on the website but I’m guessing the purpose of this app is to do market research, to track customer spending behaviors and habits. This data that is collected can then be sold.

This is different from your normal cashback programs like ExtraBuxTopCashBack, and Dosh.

This is the reason for most cashback apps of this kind, but again, this is just a guess.

How It Works

Its pretty darn simple. After downloading the free app you will have to link your credit/debit card to the app. To do this you will have to login to your bank online through the Drop App. There are some banks that I’m sure this will not work for but if you are with a major bank then this won’t be a problem.

When you initially link a card you will get 500 points for doing so. For the second card that you link you will receive 2,000 points.

After linking your card you simply go about your normal purchasing as you would do before you downloaded the app. Nothing has changed here. Drop will automatically track your purchases and give you points. The points will not go into your account instantly but you will receive them within 5 days they tell you.

Update: Drop now requires you to either accept or decline offers. This can be a pain and makes more work on your part.

After you accumulate enough points you will be able to redeem them for a variety of gift cards. There are plenty of gift cards that you can get so no on should have a problem here. You can redeem your points for gift cards to Amazon, Dunkin Doughnuts, JC Penny, Best Buy, and plenty more.

How Much Can You Earn?

This depends. You will earn points based on the amount of money you spend and the rates vary greatly depending on where you are spending your money.

For example if you shop at Walmart (right now) you will earn 2 points for each $1 you spend. But if you shop at Sam’s Club you will earn 30 points per dollar. And if you ride with Uber you will earn 15 points for each dollar spent.

It all depends.

Good & Bad

I would say the best thing about this app is that you don’t need to scan receipts or anything like that in order to get your points. That can be a hassle and this totally eliminates it. All you have to do is hook up your card to it and the purchases are tracked.

Of course this opens up a concern with the safety and risk or linking your card to the app, but I honestly wouldn’t worry about it too much. I don’t see anyone complaining about it.

Another complaint is how Drop now requires you to accept or decline offers. It was much simpler when it was automatic but now you actually have to go in and manually accept or decline.

Conclusion on The Drop App

The Drop Rewards App overall is a pretty nice app. Its not like you are to make much but its an easy way to get rewarded for the shopping you already do.

The choice of using this app is up to you. I’m not going to tell you to use it and I’m not going to tell you not to.

Also, since you are into cashback apps I would suggest taking a look at Ibotta, which is one of my favorite cashback apps. It is particularly good for grocery shopping.

If a little cashback isn’t for you and you are looking for more, you might be interested in this program. I’ve been a member since 2015 and make a full-time income online with it now.

Pocket Flip App, Scam or Legit – [My Review]

PocketFlip appWelcome to my review of the PocketFlip app.

Pocket Flip is an app that will actually pay you to download apps… strange right? I know there are a lot of people suspicious of this place and that is why I decided to take some time to write this review. In it I will be going over how this place works, how you make money, how much you can realistically make and whether or not I consider this to be a scam.

Pocket Flip App Review

I’ll get straight to the point of this review here and tell you that PocketFlip is a legitimate app. It is not a scam and you really can make money with it. However, its nothing to get too excited about. While you can make money doing extremely simple tasks it is definitely nothing that is going to make you rich by any means.

Update: Read review in comment section below. Users have been messaging me saying they aren’t getting their points and that they will do everything to get out of having to award people points. Also the support seems to be absolutely atrocious.

How You Make Money

The main way to make money with this app is by downloading other apps, which is the same thing as AppKarma. Once you are inside the dashboard you will see a list of other apps that are available for download. Many of these apps are game apps like solitaire, jewel mania, and casino type apps, but there are other ones available too like Letgo for example.

These apps will have a number listed beside them that is the amount of coins you will receive for downloading them and completing the requirements. These requirements usually aren’t much and most of the time you just have to download and open the app for a certain amount of time. However sometimes you will be required to play a game an reach an achievement.

You can make money by taking surveys too, but these aren’t the main focus here. Also, there will be some more strange tasks you will see every so often, such as going to a local store and rating the presentation of a certain product.

Once you collect enough coins from completing tasks you will be able to redeem them for gift cards.

There is also a referral program where you can earn by referring other people to join Pocket Flip.

The Rewards

The best gift cards that PocketFlip offers in my opinion are the ones for Amazon.com, but this is a matter of opinion obviously. They also offer iTunes gift cards as well as ones for Stream, Xbox, and Playstation Network.

The gift cards start out at $5. And of course you are wondering how many points you will need to get one of these… well I’ll go over that next..

How Much Can You Make?

The answer is that you will not make much.

The main way to earn coins here is to download apps and by doing this you are looking to make generally around 100-300 coins every time you do this.

If you take a look at the gift cards that you can redeem these coins for you will see that they aren’t worth much. For example as I am writing this the Amazon gift cards are as follows…

  • $5 Amazon gift card = 4,400 coins
  • $10 gift card = 6,800 coins
  • $25 gift card – 16,500 coins

The amount of coins that these gift cards cost will vary but they will stay around these amounts.

So if you think about it you are going to have to download around 44 – 15 apps for a $5 gift card. And its not like you can just go download app after app all day long. The app offers are not unlimited.

The referral program can help you earn quite a bit but most people do not have the means to make mass amounts of referrals so this really isn’t going to help much.

Some Complaints Worth Mentioning

The first complaint is the obvious… you won’t make much money at all with this. This is an extremely easy opportunity to make money but it is best looked at as just a way to earn a little extra pocket change.

Also I wish they have more options available for rewards. It would be nice to see Paypal offered or even cash via check. But as of now they only offer gift cards.

Other than this I don’t really have any other complaints. Its a good app overall.

PocketFlip Conclusion – Legit

PocketFlip is a decent app but its not going to be worthwhile for many people out there. It all depends on what you are looking for. If you are just looking to earn extremely small amounts of money in your spare time then this could be something worth considering. But if you are looking to make money with this that is significant by any means, then this is probably not for you.

If you are looking for a better opportunity to make money online on your own schedule then I highly suggest checking out this program. Not only can you make money on your own time with this but you can make a lot. I actually make a living online with it.

Digit App

Is The Digit App a scam? – [Review]

Digit AppDigit is a pretty cool savings app that I came across recently and looked into. If you are wondering is the Digit App a scam then you are going to want to read this. I know it can be worrisome when an app like this has control over your money.

In this review I’ll be going over how the app works, whether its safe or not, some complaints that I have found and more. I hope you find this helpful.

Digit App Review

The Digit App, which is a creation of Hello Digit, Inc, is a savings app that is designed to help people save money that they earn. It works to set aside a bit of money each day that you won’t even notice. It takes a smart approach and will save you money depending on the amount of money you make and spend.

Overall its a great app and people really seem to love it. There are a few downsides to it, but this is something I would recommend for most people, especially if you have trouble saving money on your own.

How You Save

First: Download the app

The first thing you would have to do of course is download the app. This can be done on both Google Play and at the App Store. This can be done for free for a trial period of 100 days. After that you will have to pay $2.99/mo, which is basically nothing.

Second: Hook it up to your bank account

This is one of the parts that worries people. Yes… you will have to connect this app to your bank account. This allows it do do what it has to do. It will analyze your income and spending patters. From this information it will determine what amount it can take out of your account each day and put in savings. Digit will take out small amounts that you can afford to live without, this way it isn’t even noticeable.

You can manually increase or decrease the amount you want it to save you as well.

Third: Use the money when you need it

The money that it takes out of your checking account is saved inside Digit. When you have something out of the ordinary that you need money for it is as easy as sending a text to Digit. The money that you need will be transferred back into your checking account on the next business day.

Can You Trust This Place?

I know that no one wants to give their bank information out but I will say that I do trust Digit. And so should you.

They use 128-bit bank-level security on your account. On top of that they are FDIC insured which means your savings are protected up to $250,000.

Digit is a legitimate savings bank that way I see it.

On top of all of this you may be a bit worried about being over-drafted. What if Digit takes out too much and causes you to overdraft? Well… they say that the app will not do this and they actually have a no-overdraft guarantee where they will reimburse you for fees in case of an overdraft. You will also be able to set safe levels that it will not withdrawal past.

Complaints

The overall opinion based on reviews I have been reading online is very good, as well as my opinion of the app. However, there is one complaint that I kept seeing over and over again.

There are a fair number of people out there that have had trouble connecting their bank accounts to the app. This is because not all banks allow for third party integration. They don’t allow for apps like this to have access to member accounts. This isn’t Digit’s fault at all, it is just the way some banks work.

Most well known banks and credit unions will allow you to use Digit though.

Other than this problem with connecting to banks, there really aren’t any complaints worth mentioning. There are some complaints from individuals being overcharged, the set limits not working, etc… but nothing that seems to be a common cause of concern.

Conclusion on The Digit App – Worth It or Not?

The Digit App is definitely not a scam first of all. It is a legitimate savings app that is as safe as using just about any other mainstream bank. Overall I like what I see here and this is something I would recommend to many people out there.

Saving money is a hard skill to master. In modern times it seems that people are always buying without actually having the money. This can help to eliminate the problem by doing the saving for you. I see this app as being beneficial to many people out there and I think it is well worth the $2.99 monthly fee that you have to pay after 100 days.

Apps That Pay You

Is AppKarma a Scam? Getting Paid to Download Apps… Really?

appkarmaAppKarma is an app that pays people to download apps…. or at least that’s what they tell you. But is this really true? Or is AppKarma a scam that is going to be nothing more than a waste of your time?

I know there are a fair amount of people out there that are looking into using this app to make a few extra bucks but aren’t sold on it yet. I’m writing this review for you people. I’ll be going over how this app works, how you get paid, and more.

AppKarma Review

I know it may sound like a scam that this place will actually pay you to download apps but AppKarma is legitimate. They are similar to AppMan, which also pays people to download apps. Many of the services like this get paid by the app developers to promote the apps and that is where the money comes from in the first place.

In addition to getting paid to download apps you can get paid for other things as well. Overall AppKarma is one of the higher rated apps like this in my book.

How You Make Money

1) Download Apps

When you are inside the app you will be able to see all the available apps for download. Most of these are games that are actually fun to play.

On the right of the screen you will see a screenshot of what it looks like inside AppKarma. Next to each app offer you will see a number with a + sign in front of it. This is the amount of points you can earn.

2) Play The Apps

You will also earn points for playing the apps. The amount you will earn and when you will earn will depend on the requirements for each app.

If you look below each offer you will see a game system control and another +(#)… this is the amount you can earn from playing and meeting some requirement. Usually this will only take a couple of minutes of playing.

A “Karma Play” 2x bonus will be available for 1 day after you install the app. After that it will disappear.

3) Watch Videos

You will also find short video clips available for you to watch. You won’t earn much of anything from these but they are another easy way to earn little points.

4) Earn Achievement Badges

There are different rank levels (1-4) for members of AppKarma. As you meet certain achievements such as installing 5 apps or watching 25 videos, you will earn these achievement badges. As you move up you will be able to earn more points.

5) Refer Other People

Like all other apps of this kind and pretty much any reward site out there, you can earn money from referring other people to join. For each member that you refer to AppKarma you will earn 30% of what they earn for life.

Getting Paid

Everything you earn at AppKarma will come in the form of Karma Points. These points will accumulate in your account but you can then redeem them for gift cards and real cash.

There is no shortage of ways to redeem your points here. There are Amazon gift cards that you can cash out for starting at just $1 along with gift cards for plenty of other big retailers & restaurants. You can also cash out via PayPal once you have $3 in your account… this is always my choice when its available.

You can cash out with a relatively low amount but there is a catch to this that I will go over next.

Complaints

Downloaded App But No Points?

Unfortunately there are going to be problems for some people where they won’t receive points for installing an app and using it. This is a problem that is just going to happen every once in a while and there are many reasons for this.

I wouldn’t worry about it though as it doesn’t happen often.

Point to Dollar Ratio Varies

Many of the gift cards that you can redeem for start at $5. And what you will usually see with these is that for a $5 gift card you need 5,000 points, which means that $1 = 1,000 points. However…. with the lower gift card amounts, such as the $1 Amazon card you will see that you need a lot more than 1,000 points to be able to get this.

Its basically like they punish you for wanting to cash out early. But of course you don’t want to wait long because it takes a while to rack up the points.

Conclusion on AppKarma – Scam or Worth Your Time?

There are a good number of apps that pay you to download other apps just like AppKarma. There are even rewards sites (like Time Bucks) that pay you to do this. Out of all the sites and apps that are like this AppKarma is definitely one of the better ones out there.

You won’t make much money with any of them but AppKarma can be a fun way to earn some extra spending money. Its definitely not a scam and if you still interests you then I would say to go for it… sign up and give it a try.

But if you are looking to make (real) money online I would suggest taking a look at this program. This is the same program I got started with back in 2015 and I am still a member today…. which is a testament to how good I think it is.

I’m making a living right now and I owe pretty much everything to what I learned here.
