Is MyPoints Legit? – My Review

MyPointsMyPoints is a rewards program where you can make money doing simple things like taking surveys, watching videos, etc… But is this place any good? Is MyPoints legit or is it just another scam that is going to be nothing more than a waste of your time?

To answer this question I took at look into this site to see how things look. Anyone who knows me knows that I like to try out new sites for making extra money online for the fun of it. So MyPoints is not the first site like this that I have looked into by any means. In this review I’ll be going over how you can make money, how much you will really make, some complaints, and more.

How You Make Money at MyPoints

MyPoints is what you call a GPT site, or a Get Paid To site. They make money by conducting research and advertising and pay people like you and I money to perform simple tasks which include:

  • Surveys – These surveys take from 5-25 minutes normally and you can make up to 400 points.
  • Emails – You can also earn money reading emails that they send you. Some emails will credit you with points just for opening them up.
  • Videos – By watching videos you will earn points as well, although very little here. You can expect to earn 6 points or so for a 25 minute string of videos.
  • Shopping – Instead of cashback shopping, MyPoints offers “pointback” shopping. You can earn 1-4 points (generally) per dollar that you spend online when you shop.
  • Referrals – When you refer another person to MyPoints you will earn 10% of what they earn throughout their lifetime on this site.

And there are a few other ways to earn as well but these are the most popular ones.

How Much Is a Point Worth?

With everything you do here you are paid in points. These points can then be redeemed for PayPal cash, gift cards of all kinds, and prepaid Visa cards. They aren’t worth a darn thing until you actually redeem them for the rewards. So to see the real value of a point you have to look at the rewards offered.

Generally around 140 points = $1. So in order to cash out for a $10 gift card you are going to need around 1,400 points. This value varies a bit. You might find that 160 points or even 130 points equals out to $1 but generally speaking its right around 140 points that equal $1.

What Are The Rewards

With the MyPoints rewards program you can redeem your points for PayPal cash, prepaid Visa’s, and a variety of gift cards, as mentioned.

In order to cash out via PayPal you are going to need $25 minimum in your account. This will take a while. But if you want to get a gift card you can cash out with as little as $3 worth of points in your account.

They have gift cards to Walmart, Best Buy, Barnes & Noble, Buffalo Wild Wings, Bass Pro Shops, Burger King, CVS, Footlocker, and just about any place you can think of.

Some Complaints

Not much out of the ordinary here… just the usual complaints that you will see with any GPT site like this. These include…

Low Pay

This is the number one complaint you will find. Unfortunately it has become the norm in this industry to pay extremely low amounts. If you do the calculations you will find that you are making extremely low amounts for your time no matter if you are taking surveys, watching videos….

Lack of Support

The support staff with sites like this is always lacking. Unfortunately if you have problems that you need help with it is going to be much more of a hassle than it should have to be.

Boring

If you don’t get bored taking these surveys, watching the videos, etc… then good for you. But personally I find these tasks extremely boring.

MyPoints Conclusion – Is It Worth Your Time?

I can’t really complain too much about MyPoints because I have reviewed so many other GPT programs that I knew what to expect. I know they wouldn’t pay much and that it would be boring. All in all this place is a legit and you really can make money performing these mindless tasks.

But is it really worth the time put into it? I don’t see how. If you do want to earn a bit of extra money doing this stuff then go for it. I would however recommend SwagBucks over this site though. They have more opportunities to earn than MyPoints. My Points is definitely better than sites like Survey Sheep and Survey Voices, but SwagBucks ranks over them.

But anyway.. like I said… I just don’t see how this is worth the time that you have to dedicate to it. And on top of that it is not even close to being a reliable source of income. There are a lot better ways to make money online if you have any spare time.

Is Survey Voices a Scam? What They Don’t Tell You

survey-voicesSurvey Voices is often promoted as being one of the best paid survey sites out there. But can you trust what you hear? Is this place a good choice or is Survey Voices a scam that is going to be a waste of your time?

There has been a lot of questions being asked about the legitimacy of this survey site so I just wanted to write about a few things to clear the air. This place is probably not what you think it is and I’ll be going over why.

What Is Survey Voices?

Survey Voices is a paid survey website that you can go through to take paid surveys online. These surveys are generally short, from 10 – 25 minutes in length, and consist of multiple choice questions that are easy for anyone to answer.

But this place isn’t what you probably think it is. Survey Voices doesn’t actually offer any surveys of their own. Instead, they are just like a middleman that refers you to other paid survey sites. Once you sign up through them you will then be given a list of other paid survey sites that it recommends you sign up for, which is exactly what Survey Sheep does also.

It will tell you that there are only a certain number of spots left to try to get you to sign up for these sites right away but this isn’t true.

As you can see below from the screenshot I took it is telling me to sign up for Survey Junkie and i-Say. I am very familiar with both of these survey sites and I can assure you that there are not “only 4 spots left”. Both of these sites will take in all the members they can get.

The Purpose of Survey Voices

You might be asking yourself.. “what’s the point of this place if they are just sending you to other paid survey sites?” And that is a good question to ask. In my opinion there is no good point for you anyhow.

The whole purpose of Survey Voices is for them to make money off of you. If you have ever been a member of any of the big survey sites like SwagBucks, Inbox Dollars, etc.. then you might be aware that they have referral programs where members can refer other people to become members and make money off of them.

This is what Survey Voices is doing. They are referring people to all these other sites and making money by doing so. And they are doing so in a rather unethical way by lying to you and saying that there are limited spots left to try to get you to sign up right away.

And there is no purpose of you signing up to these other sites through Survey Voices. There is no benefit to it. All of the sites that they refer you too are nothing special. Its not like they are some expert matching service that found you the best survey sites out there specific to you.

How Much Can You Make?

For some reason there are ads that I have seen for this site that claim you can make $300. And they make it seem like you can do so with just one survey.

This is very misleading. While you can definitely make $300, it doesn’t tell you anything about how long that might take. If you can make $300 with one survey that is really good, but if it takes you 1,000 surveys to make that money then that isn’t very good at all.

The truth is that you won’t make much. The survey sites that they refer you to are nothing special by any means. Both of those that you can see the referred me to above are your average sites. They all pay very low amounts for your time.

I am very familiar with both of the sites pictured above and with both you can expect anywhere from $0.50 to $2.00 per 10-25 minute survey generally… with the longer surveys paying more. Once you do the math and calculate in the time wasted just trying to qualify for surveys you will find that they are a waste of time, at least in my opinion.

Conclusion, Is Survey Voices a Scam?

Well all they do is try to make money off of you by referring you to other sites. They provide no value whatsoever and are a complete waste of time. There are also all sorts of very misleading advertisements for this site. All in all I would consider this site to be one of the more “scammy” ones out there and definitely do not recommend anyone sign up to them.

There is just no point in doing so. If you want to make some extra money (not much) the go right to the source. Sign up directly to the survey sites that actually offer the surveys and pay you.

Anyway… that is it for my review. I hope you enjoyed it and gained some good insight. Please leave any questions below in the comment section and I’ll get back to you soon ?

Is Survey Sheep a Scam? My Review

Survey SheepIf you are wondering whether Survey Sheep is a scam or not then you are in the right place. I am always trying and testing out new survey sites online for the heck of it. Pretty much because I want to see if they are any good and review them for other people so they don’t waste their time.

And that is exactly what I am doing here. I’ll be going over how this place works, how much you can make, and ultimately whether or not I think its a scam.

Survey Sheep Overview

Ok, so you probably already know this… but Survey Sheep is a paid surveys website. You can go there and be on your way to taking short online surveys and making a little money online.

Basically if you sign up with Survey Sheep you will be directed to take surveys on a range of topics. These are short 10-25 minute surveys generally that consist of easy multiple choice questions.

Also, its important to note that they are free to sign up for.

But this place is a little different than you may be thinking… in a bad way.

How It Works

Survey Sheep doesn’t actually have any surveys that they host on their site. Its not like you go to surveysheep.com and take surveys right there and make money. Instead, all Survey Sheep does is refers you to other paid survey sites. They are basically like a middleman directing you to other places.

As you can see below, after I signed up I was immediately directed to sign up for other survey sites such as Vindale Research, Survey Junkie, Panda Research, and more. And YES you will have to go through the entire sign up process to join these other sites. Its not like they use the information you already gave them when you signed up to Survey Sheep in the first place.

Whats The Point Of This Place?

I know you may be wondering what the purpose of this place even is if they are just a middleman referring you to other paid survey sites. Why not just go to these other sites and sign up to them from the get-go?

The truth is that there is no good reason for you to use Survey Sheep. Their service is pointless for you. Its not like they are matching you up with these amazing survey sites that are perfect matches for you. They are just referring you to other run-of-the-mill survey sites.

The only reason they even do this is to make money off of you. If you are familiar with many survey sites then you know that just about all of them have referral programs where you can make money by referring other people to join them. That is all Survey Sheep is doing. They are referring you to a bunch of other sites and trying to make money off of it.

How Much Money Can You Make?

Survey Sheep acts like they are doing you some great service by matching you with these amazing survey sites but as I said… really they are not. These survey sites that they match you up with are nothing special.

You can find lots of reviews about Survey Junkie, Vindale Research, and the others and they are all the same… you will make next to nothing.

I would consider all of these sites to go by the “industry standard” when it comes to paying. You can generally expect to make anywhere from $0.25 – $3.00 for a 10-25 minute survey, with the longer surveys usually paying more.

When you add up the time spent on sites like these you pretty much always are making less than minimum wage.. unless you get lucky and somehow get a couple of high paying surveys that you can complete back to back.

So Is Survey Sheep a Scam?

Whether they are a scam or not can be your own opinion. Its not like they are stealing money from you or anything like that. They are completely free to sign up with an all. But they are wasting your time by making you jump through unnecessary hoops just so that they can make money.

So if you consider that a scam then yes this place is a scam.

But whether you do or don’t consider them to be, one thing is for sure… they aren’t worth your time. Don’t bother with this place. It serves no good purpose. Instead just go right to the source. Sign up for a survey site directly and don’t bother with this place.

Anyway… that is it for my review. I hope you enjoyed it and gained some good insight. Please leave any questions below in the comment section and I’ll get back to you soon ?
