I want you to think about something for a second...

Why are clients on all of these freelance platforms willing to pay freelancers to write articles, blogs, product descriptions, ebooks, etc?

The reason is because... or course... they are making MORE MONEY from the writing you do for them than they are paying you for it.

Makes perfect sense right?

Most of the clients pay for freelancers to write for their websites/blogs... at least most of the time that is the reason.

So... why not just write for yourself and make more for your writing?

The reason is because most people have no idea what is possible and don't know that they can even do this.

Luckily for you, today I'm going to show you EXACTLY how you can make this a reality.

Maybe you never thought of it; maybe you've heard of it and didn't think it was worth it.... whatever the case... it doesn't matter. Now you are going to hear of it and see that it is possible to make good money doing it..

A Look at How I Make Over $6k/mo Online.. Writing for Myself

Now I'm going to warn you... this may seem a bit too complicated at first... but it really is not.

*This certainly isn't rocket science

*You don't need any sort of degree or special skills

*You don't even need money to get started

BUT.... it is going to seem intimidating.

What I Do: I create blogs/websites and write content on them. This attracts traffic and I am then able to monetize that traffic in a number of ways, which I will go over a little later.

Don't Know How to Create a Blog/Website? Sound Too Complicated? Oh No!!..

I told you it would sound like a lot!

But seriously... it isn't and I'm going to be showing you how you can do this the easiest way possible in a bit.

And I'm also going to show you how you can actually get started doing this for free.

The 3 Step Process:

You are going to have to get 3 things in order for this to work.

A website
Traffic going to the website
Ways to monetize that traffic

1) It Starts with a Website

So first I start by creating a website.

What type?

Basically what I do is create small blog-style websites. These are simple and are mostly made of up good old fashion text... which you would like because you are a writer or an aspiring writer.

The cool thing is that I CAN WRITE ABOUT ANYTHING I WANT.

I have a couple different websites that are in the health niche where I write mostly about ways to boost health naturally, review supplements, and so on.

Choosing a Niche: You first start out by deciding what you want your website to be about. You want to choose something that interests you and that you would like to write about.

Your niche can be anything. But I find it is very important that you choose something of interest, or else you will likely get 'burnt out'... I know because this has happened to me in the past.

Some examples of niches include...

Cat and dog toys
Yoga accessories
Hunting supplies
How to shoot a bow
Bowling
Applying makeup
And literally pretty much anything you can possibly think of

After deciding what you want your site to be about you then create the site... The website creation part is easy. It is easy to create a site and this is something (as I said) I will show you in a bit.

*You definitely do NOT need to have any tech skills, know coding or anything like that.

2) Next You Need Traffic

In order to make any money with your website you are going to need traffic. Without traffic you won't make a dime.

So this is the next step of the process.

Luckily... there is a way to get traffic for FREE and unlimited amounts of it.... by writing.

What I do is write articles/blog posts (whatever you want to call them) on my website about relevant topics... topics related to my chosen niche.

Example: So lets say I have a website that is about 'dog food'. I could write about all sorts of things, like...

The top 10 organic dog foods
Best dog foods for large breed dogs
Best dog foods for (particular breed)
Dog foods with specific nutrients
Reviews of certain brands (ex. Purina Dog Food Review)

This is just a silly example but you get the point.

The FREE TRAFFIC part of it..

If you do it right (and I'll show you how) you will be able to get your articles ranked in Google, Yahoo, and Bing... and this will give you FREE TRAFFIC... completely free.

And who doesn't like free? Right..

You see, when people search Google for things like 'best organic dog foods' , and if I have written an article related to this, like 'Top 10 Organic Dog Foods', then they might come across this article and click on it.

This is powerful stuff.

Google processes around 40,000 search queries every second... and this equates to 3.5 billion searches per day!

Imagine just getting a small bit-sized piece of that search traffic.

So in a nutshell... you write relevant content on your site and you get free traffic. There's a little trick to doing this the right way, but it's nothing difficult and I'll talk about it more in a bit.

3) Lastly, It's Time to Monetize That Traffic

So now you have a website that is getting traffic... it's time to make some money.

And don't worry... You DON'T NEED ANY PRODUCTS TO SELL.

The easiest way to go about it is affiliate marketing, which is what I do.

This is also the most beginner friendly approach.

Affiliate marketing is where you simply promote products online via affiliate links and earn commissions.

What can you promote? ANYTHING really.

You want to promote things related to your niche of course.

Got a site about shooting bows? - You can promote bows, arrows, arm guards and all sorts of things.
Got a site about dog food? - You can promote... well... dog food of course!
Got a site about cooking? - You can promote recipes, cookbooks, cookware, etc.

It could be anything that you promote... dog food, baseball bats, violins, essential oil diffusers, shoes, lipstick, vacuum cleaners, phone accessories, and the list goes on and on and on.

You get paid a commission for helping make that sale

All you do is promote.

You see this soooo often. Pretty much any search you perform in Google you are going to come across articles that are attracting people and making money this way.

But it's all good because you are helping people. You are supplying people with information that they are searching for and promoting good relevant products that they want. It's a win/win for everyone.

This Is Passive Income At It's Finest..

When you do a freelance writing gig you get paid 1 time for your work.

When you do this you GET PAID OVER AN OVER AGAIN FOR DOING THE WORK ONE TIME.

Now which sounds better to you? Obviously the one where you get paid over and over again.

This website owner has had this article up since 2013 getting TONS OF TRAFFIC from being ranked on the 1st page of Google. And all the while making money from it!

Now if that isn't passive income I don't know what is.

This is why clients are willing to pay freelance writers. Because they can make a heck of a lot more from the content you write.... which is why you should just do it for yourself as I'm explaining.

How Long Does It Take to Make Money?

Now I do want to make it clear that this is NOT going to be a way to start making money right away.

This takes time... it takes time to get your site going and get traffic coming in as you create content.

HOWEVER, you can always start doing this and do other things, such as freelance writing, on the side. The beauty of this is that you can do it WHENEVER you want to... completely on your own schedule and at your own pace.

If you are in need of immediate money it is best you find something else. But if you have time and are willing to put in the work... this can pay off hugely and truly be a great way to earn passive income.

1) Can you really start without any experience?

Well of course you can start, but I guess the better question is "can you really be successful if you don't have any experience?"

The answer is YES, and I am a good example of this myself. When I say I started out with zero experience, I mean literally ZERO EXPERIENCE… Without any knowledge of anything I later learned that Wealthy Affiliate.

Everyone has to start somewhere and luckily Wealthy Affiliate is a good place even for complete newbies. In fact, the training starts out assuming that you know nothing and this is an approach I like.

Is Wealthy Affiliate really free? This is a question I get quite a bit in the answer is yes… Well kinda.

5) How long does it take to see results?

This is a question that everyone wants to know, but unfortunately there is no good answer I give you. Results will vary and they can potentially vary a lot.

There are a lot of variables at play here that go into success. Things such as how much time you put into it, the quality of your work, the niche you choose, the products you promote, etc.… Are all factors.

That said, I guarantee you that you are NOT going to see results within the first week and likely won't even see any results in the first month. Based on my experience and what I have seen with others, it usually takes around three months to start seeing results. Yes… I know, I know… We all want fast results. But unfortunately this isn't going to produce fast results, but it could produce a sustainable online business that will make you money for years.

One thing I have learned over the years is that making money either takes time or money. You can throw bunch of money into a new business venture to make more money, or you can spend the time necessary to make money in your new business. At Wealthy Affiliate we take the second approach… It is free to get started but it does take time.

6) How much money can you make?

This is another question that I can't really answer all that well, but the answer is more exciting than the previous… Because the answer is A LOT!

As you already know, I make consistently over $6000 a month and usually it is more like $7000 or so. However, I know quite a few people who are members at Wealthy Affiliate that are making over $10,000 a month consistently and even more.

One of the awesome things about running an online business is the automation that comes with it. You don't have to sit at your computer day and night to make money… You have the system set up and it can make you money when you sleep, when you're on vacation, etc.

7) How do you become an affiliate so that you can make money promoting products?

This is all covered in the training so I'm not going to get into it too much, but basically it is very simple. Just about every big company out there has their own affiliate program that you can join for free and make money promoting their products.

Take for example Amazon. Amazon has well over 500 million products and when you join as an affiliate you can get paid to promote them… Which means that you can get paid to promote pretty much anything you want.

And this is just one of many examples, but again, all of this will be covered in the training. You will learn how to find affiliate programs, how to join them, and everything you need to know.
