Is Neolife a Scam? My Review of this Business Opportunity

NeoLifeNeolife has what can potentially be a pretty lucrative business opportunity. But is this really as great as some people claim? Is this the home-based job you have been waiting for? Or is Neolife a scam that is going to lead you on and on struggling with no hopes of making good money?

I decided to sit down and write this review because I know there are a lot of questions swirling all over. I’ll be going over how this business operates, how you make money, the downside to it, and more.

Neolife Overview

Neolife is a direct sales company that sells health supplements and “health packs” of all kinds. I’m not writing this review to talk about the products but for what it is worth it seems that they are pretty good and of good quality.

The purpose of this review is for me to talk about the business opportunity at hand. When I say this is a direct sales company this means that they rely on independent distributors (aka promoters) to do all the marketing and selling. They don’t sell in stores and this is what creates the business opportunity because anyone can join as a promoter and make money.

This is also what you call a mlm company. There are multiple levels within the compensation structure and you can also make money by recruiting in other promoters beneath you.

Cost To Join

In order to join you will have to buy a kit to start promoting this business. These range in price from $49 to over $1,500. These kits will include business tools that are necessary for promoting NeoLife to others and the more expensive kits will come with product samples and more.

How You Make Money

As a promoter you will be able to make money in two ways with the compensation plan that NeoLife has in place… off of your own sales and off of the sales from people you recruit, and people that they recruit, and so on.

You will have your own NeoLife website that you can get customers to sign up through. When it comes to selling products to the general public your goal is to get them to sign up as “Club Members”. And what this means is that they sign up to buy products automatically each month, which means that you earn commissions automatically each month from these sales.

The big part of this business relies on recruitment. If you want to make good money and you want to move up in the ranks, which is necessary for making as much as possible, then you need to recruit in other promoters beneath you.

I’ll give the rank of Director as an example. Achieving Director status is a big goal if you are a promoter. And in order to achieve this status you will need to have 12 Club Members that are signed up under you, along with 3 promoters that you recruited into the business, each of which have 12 Club Members of their own. These are the minimum requirements.

Also you must have a 4,000 QPV (qualified point value) to achieve Director status. This is a point system that keeps track of the amount of products that you and your downline sell.

The Reality Of This Business Opportunity

I have reviewed dozens and dozens of mlm business opportunities over the years, doTERRA & Tempo Wireless recently, and this is your fairly typical mlm. Most mlm’s have their own confusing compensation plan that has tons of potential for you to make money but the problem is that it is very difficult for people to make money with them because recruitment is such a big part of it.

The bottom line is that you pretty much need to be recruiting new promoters in consistently in order to make good money. You need to grow your downline and take advantage of the mlm structure which allows you to earn money from the efforts of those beneath you.

The problem here is that with a pyramid-type mlm structure like this there are always going to be much more people at the bottom struggling to make money then those at the top, which are the ones that make the majority of the money. This is why most people fail with mlm’s…. because for people to make good money they need to have those beneath them struggling.

Conclusion on NeoLife – Scam?

NeoLife is definitely not a scam. They do sell legitimate products that are at the very least “decent” products. Their business opportunity is also legitimate.

I just don’t particularly care for mlm’s though because of their extremely high failure rates and how they are set up so that it is always going to be like this… with most people failing. Only those that are really good at talking to people and have that salesperson type personality seem to succeed with these businesses and unfortunately most people don’t have this.

If are going to pursue this opportunity just know the reality of it. There is a lot of potential to make a lot of money here… but it is not easy and most people fail.

Something else that you might want to look into if you are looking for a work-from-home job is how I make money online. I make a living online and I enjoy what I do. Here is the program that got me started and got me to where I currently am, making $5k + per month.

Is Waiora a Scam? My Review of Their Business Opportunity

waioraWaiora has got a lot of attention over the years, much for bad products and false claims. But over the more recent years they seem to have cleaned up their act and the business opportunity that they offer is something that I see many people are looking into. But is this business opportunity actually any good? Or is Waiora a scam that is going to have you running around like a chicken with your head cut off for little pay?

I decided to write this review to share with you some insight I have on this business opportunity. You likely aren’t going to get the whole truth if you talk to someone that is in the company but you will get it from me. I’ll be going over how this business works, how you make money, the downside to it all and more.

Waiora Overview

Waiora is a company that sells anti-aging products. They have took a lot of heat over the years and have even been forced to cough up $12 million in a lawsuit back in 2013 for faulty products. But as I said, it seems that they are doing better recently.

The business opportunity that they offer comes from them being a direct sales mlm company. Basically what this means is that anyone can buy into this business and make money both selling their products as an independent distributor and by recruiting other distributors into the business.

How You Will Make Money

As a distributor for Waiora you will be able to earn money in 2 main ways: from selling products yourself and from recruiting in other distributors who will be selling products.

Personal Sales

There are two ways that you can make personal sales. You can refer people to buy Waiora products on your own personal Waiora website that you will be given and you can sell products in-person directly to customers.

When you sell directly you will first have to buy the products from Waiora, which you can do at a 30% discount. Then you will turn around and sell them at regular price, thus earning 30%.

Recruitment

Recruitment really needs to be a focus for you if you want to make good money here. The compensation plan that is in place really favors this.

The big money maker from recruitment is going to come from the Team Commissions. They have a massive pyramid-like mlm structure in place here and you can earn down to 15 levels if you are able to move up the ranks…

The people that you personally recruit in will make up your level 1, the people that they recruit in make up your level 2, the people that they recruit in make up your level 3, and so on.

You can see a screenshot of the Team Commissions chart below…

And you may be wondering…. Well how do you move up the ranks?? The answer to this is recruitment. Basically what you need to do is recruit more people in and increase the amount of team sales volume that you and your downline are making.

The Big Conundrum

It may sound amazing that you can earn off of people 15 levels down but it actually isn’t all that awesome… at least for most people.

The problem here is that with a mlm compensation plan like this most people are set up to fail. A comp plan like this rewards those at the top and takes away from those at the bottom. There is a lot of potential to earn a lot of money here but the reality is and will always be that there are much more people at the bottom struggling than at the top reaping all the rewards.

I see this all the time. I just reviewed two other mlm’s, Talk Fusion & Vollara, and its the same with them.

Conclusion on Wairoa – Scam?

Wairoa has definitely been involved in some scam activity in the past, at least when it comes to their products being complete shams. But as for now, I don’t really see them as a scam. They must have learned from their lesson because  their products seem to be ok, although I don’t think they are the anti-aging miracles that people claim they are.

As for the business opportunity that Wairoa offers, it has a heck of a lot of potential but the bottom line here is that most people fail in mlm’s like this. That is just the way they are and that is why I stay away from them.

So if you are thinking about joining just know the reality here and don’t get sucked in by the fairy-tale stories about how awesome it is that people in the company might be giving you.

Something else that you might want to look into if you are looking for a work-from-home job is how I make money online. I make a living online and I enjoy what I do. Here is the program that got me started and got me to where I currently am, making $5k + per month.

Is Vollara a Scam? My Review of this Business Opportunity

VollaraThe business opportunity that Vollara offers is something that I looked into recently. And one thing I can say is that if you are looking into this as well then you should definitely read this because you likely won’t be told this by anyone that is already with the company.

Is Vollara a scam? No… I am not saying that. But what I am saying is that you need to read this because there is a major downside to this business that you may not know. In this short review I’ll be going over how this business works, how you make money, the big downside and more.

Vollara Overview

Vollara is a direct sales company that sells water ionizers, air purifiers, nutraceuticals and more. As far as I see and from what I have read their products seem to be good quality and I don’t see any big problems with them. If you are into these sort of products then Vollara might be worth looking into for consumer purposes. But the purpose of this post is to talk about the business opportunity here, not the products.

Vollara relies on independent distributors to do all the selling and marketing. They do not sell in stores. Anyone can become one of these distributors and make money with Vollara.

How You Make Money

As an independent distributor you are going to be able to make commissions off of the personal sales that you make as well as by recruiting other distributors into the business.

Recruitment is a key part of this business and any other mlm out there, which this is. Mlm stands for multi-level marketing and basically what this means is that you can recruit in others into the business beneath you and earn from their efforts. This may sound like the greatest thing you’ve ever heard but its not and I’ll go over why in the next section.

As with many mlm’s, Vollara’s compensation plan is a bit confusing. Usually mlm’s make their comp plans confusing to make them seem better than they are, or at least that’s how I take it.

But anyway… there are 14 ranks within Vollara, and if you want to make as much money as possible, which I assume you would, then you are going to need to climb the ranks. Climbing the ranks unlocks more of the compensation plan which means you earn more money.

The higher you go in the ranks the higher “Team Bonus” percentages you will earn, which is a money that you earn from what those in your downline do, aka what those that were recruited in beneath you do.

If you move your way up to rank Level 7+ then you are then going to unlock what are called “Executive Promotion Bonuses” which allow you to earn down to 8+ generation levels. And what a generation level is, is basically a recruit’s team that is within your downline. You don’t really need to know what it is here, just know that it is another way for you to earn from those recruited in beneath you.

How do you move up the ranks? I figured you would ask. Well the answer is recruitment. Its all about recruitment. You are required to make personal sales at each rank but you will move up the ranks by recruiting in other members.

The Catastrophic Downside To This

It is no secret that I dislike mlm’s. And the reason for this is because they are set up so that most people will fail miserably.

The fact that you can make money from those beneath you may sound appealing but it just makes it more difficult to make money and leads to massively uneven wealth distribution where those at the top make the majority of the money while those at the bottom struggle.

That is just the way it works when it comes to pyramid-like mlm structures like this. They have a ton of potential to make good money but the reality is that very few will make good money because most people will be at the bottom struggling. I review mlm’s like this all the time and its almost always the same. In fact, I just reviewed Neways & Talk Fusion (2 other mlm’s) the other day and its the same with them.

I was actually able to find a pdf on the FTC’s website that claims Vollara fails to disclose that 99% of distributors actually lose money. This was written by the Consumer Awareness Institute.

Conclusion on Vollara – Scam?

Well Vollara’s products seem to be good and all but there is no doubt that their business opportunity is misrepresented and lures people in with dreams that more than likely will not come true. The bottom line here is that very few actually make good money in this business.

You  have to be a recruitment machine to make it. You need to build up a massive downline and earn from them, because that is how their compensation plan works. But this isn’t easy and statistics prove it time and time again. For this reason I don’t really recommend mlm’s all too much.

Something else that you might want to look into if you are looking for a work-from-home job is how I make money online. I make a living online and I enjoy what I do. Here is the program that got me started and got me to where I currently am, making $5k + per month.

Is Talk Fusion a Scam? My Review of this Business Opportunity

Talk FusionTalk Fusion has a potentially lucrative business opportunity, but is it really as great as some people are saying? Is Talk Fusion that home-based job that you have been waiting for? Or is Talk Fusion a scam that is just going to have you running around like a mad-man with little reward?

I know there are a lot of people looking into the business opportunity here so I decided to write this review because I think there are a few things you and others should know. I will be going over how this business works, how you make money, the downside and more.

Talk Fusion Overview

Talk Fusion is a direct sales company that sells digital products for online business. Their main product is video email software that allows you to make video emails. For what its worth their products seem to be good quality and all, but I’m not here to review the products. I’m here to talk about the biz opp.

As a direct sales company they rely on independent distributors (affiliates as they call them) to do all the selling and marketing of their products. Anyone can become one of these affiliates and make money with this company, which is where the opportunity lies.

The Cost of Doing Business

If you want to become an affiliate you are going to have to first pay a $30 fee. And this is just the beginning. You will also have to first buy the products that you want to sell. If you do not buy them then you can’t make any commissions selling them.

The prices of their products are as follows…

  • Video Email Only – $99
  • Video Suite (Executive) – $250
  • Video Suite (Elite) – $750
  • Video Suite (Pro) – $1,500

How You Make Money

If you watched any of the promo videos for this company you will hear all about how you can make money off of the efforts of others. This is because this business is a mlm (multi-level marketing) business which basically means that you can recruit in other distributors beneath you and earn from them. Now this may sound extremely appealing and awesome but there is a major downside to this that I will get into shortly.

But first let me go over how you make money… there are 2 main ways: by selling Talk Fusion’s products yourself and by recruitment of other distributors. There are actually over a dozen ways to earn with this company but they all fall into these 2 main categories.

Direct Sales

When you make commissions on your personal sales they call this a Fast Start Bonus, because you will get paid right when the sales is made. You will earn between $20 and $120 on these sales depending on which product you get people to buy. You will also earn $10/mo when you sell a monthly plan.

Recruitment

Recruitment is the key to making good money here. If you want to make a lot then you absolutely need to recruit people in beneath you and build up your downline. There are several ways that you can earn from recruitment, Team Commissions being the big one here.

With Team Commissions you are paid from a binary compensation structure. You will have 2 people beneath you and there will be 2 people beneath them and everyone else, as illustrated in the picture to the right.

The Downside Here

I know that earning money from the efforts of others sounds very appealing, but the reality here is that it makes it much more difficult to make money.

With a mlm pyramid-like compensation plan like this those at the top make most of the money while those at the bottom struggle. Those that are at the bottom, which make up the overwhelming majority of affiliates, are having their commissions sucked out of their paycheck so that those above them can earn more. That is how mlm’s like this work.

There is a lot of potential here to make a lot of money… but you have to move up the pyramid structure and this is done through recruitment. The bottom line here is that there will always be many more people struggling at the bottom than at the top.

Mlm’s like this always have very uneven wealth distribution and I was actually able to find an official income disclosure from Talk Fusion that proves this. As you can see below around 97% of all associates (affiliates) made far less than $2,500 in the entire year of 2016. In fact, 69.54% made nothing at all.

Conclusion on Talk Fusion – Scam?

I have reviewed a lot of mlm business opportunities over the year… and I mean a lot. What I can tell you here is that Talk Fusion is definitely one of the more scammy ones out there. They really push recruitment more so than most. And it seems like many of their product sales are coming from affiliates that are forced to buy them just to try to make money selling them.

Overall I would not recommend this mlm. I don’t like the looks of it and there are definitely better mlm’s out there. However, I don’t really care much for mlm’s in general just because of how few people actually make good money with them. I see it all the time… I just reviewed Neways & Limu (2 other mlm’s) the other day and its the same story with them.

Something else that you might want to look into if you are looking for a work-from-home job is how I make money online. I make a living online and I enjoy what I do. Here is the program that got me started and got me to where I currently am, making $5k + per month.

Is Neways a Scam? My Review Of This Business Opportunity

NewaysNeways offers what has the potential to be a very lucrative business opportunity. But is there a catch to this? Is this really as good as it seems it is? Or is Neways a scam possibly that is going to have you running around with little reward?

I decided to review the business opportunity that this place offers because I know there are a lot of questions swirling around about it. I’ll be going over what everyone needs to know if they are looking into this… how it works, how you make money, the downside, and more.

Neways Overview

Neways is a direct sales company that sells personal care, household care, and nutritional products. For what its worth their products seem to be good quality from what I have read and heard. But I’m not here to talk about the products that they have I am here to talk about the business opportunity.

As a direct sales company they rely on independent distributors to do all the marketing and selling. Anyone can become one of these distributors and can make money with it.

How You Make Money

There are 2 basic ways that you will be earning money as a distributor. You will be able to earn retail commissions and you will be able to earn from recruitment.

Retail Commissions

As a distributor you will be able to purchase Neways products at wholesale costs and then turn around and sell them at markup prices. The difference is what you will keep.

The amount you will make here will vary but is usually 10-20% but can get up to around 30%.

Recruitment

Since this is a mlm (multi-level marketing) company you can earn by recruiting in other distributors beneath you. There are several different ways you can earn from recruitment but the biggest way is the team commissions.

You can earn Team Commissions down to 6 levels deep. The distributors that you recruit in are your level 1, the distributors that they recruit in are your level 2, and so on.. all the way to level 6.

You will earn 10% on the first 4 levels and then 5% on levels 5 and 6. This is a uni-level structure so this means that you can have infinite number of people on each level.

The Reality Of This Business

The reality of businesses like this is that not many people make good money. This is because of how the compensation plan focuses on recruitment so much. There is no doubt that in order to make good money here you are going to have to recruit consistently.

MLM’s like this have a lot of potential to move up and to make good money but this recruitment focused compensation plan makes it difficult. You have to have a big downline and many people below you to make good money. And of course there are always going to be more people at the bottom of the pyramid-like mlm structure struggling than at the top. So of course most people are going to fail, while the few at the top reap most of the rewards.

I was not able to actually find an income disclosure from this company. Many mlm’s will show an income disclosure that shows you how much their distributors actually make but Neways does not. However, I have reviewed and looked into dozens and dozens of mlm’s over the years to know that this is the reality of it. In fact, I just reviewed Limu and Tempo Wireless recently and this is the same reality with them.

Conclusion on Neways – Scam or Good Business Opportunity?

Neways is not a scam. They sell legitimate products and the business opportunity that they provide is also legitimate. However… it isn’t as good as many people are led to believe. There is a lot of misinformation out there from other distributors trying to recruit new people in and making it sound better than it is.

Don’t get me wrong… you can make a lot of money here. There is a ton of potential. But the reality is that not many people make it far. And one thing that I like is that the company, Neways, does not lead you to believe you are going to make it rich like many other mlm’s do. From what I see they give you pretty realistic expectations as far as earning money goes. It is the independent distributors that you will see making it seem too good to be true.

Is Limu a Scam? My Review of this Business Opportunity

LIMULimu offers what can potentially be a pretty lucrative business opportunity.. but is this really as good as it is claimed to be? Is this the opportunity that you have been waiting for? Or is Limu a scam that is just going to end up being a waste of your time?

I know there have been a decent number of people questioning the business opportunity here so I decided to sit down and write this review. I’ll be going over how this business works, how you make money, the downside to it and more.

Limu Overview

Limu is a mlm company that sells nutritional products that are all based around a “supernutrient” called Fucoidan, which is found in seaweed. I am a big fan of strange health foods like this and based off of what I see there products seem to be pretty good. There is a lot of hype surrounding them but they do have proven benefits based on the nutrients found in them.

But anyway.. I’m here to talk about the business opportunity not the products.

Limu does not sell products in stores. They rely on independent distributors to do all the selling and marketing. This is where the business opportunity comes in because anyone can join in and become a distributor, which they call promoters.

Cost To Join

While you don’t actually have to, you will be pushed to purchase a Fast Track Pack to get your Limu business started. This is a package that includes products, materials, etc to get your home based business up and running. It will cost a pretty penny. With 2 different packs available it is going to cost you either $499 or $999.

One of the ways they push you to purchase one of these packs is through their compensation plan. As you will see if you don’t purchase one of these then you won’t qualify for one of their bonuses.

How You Make Money

As a promoter for Limu you are going to be able to make money in 2 main ways. You will be able to sell Limu products directly and make commissions on your own personal sales and because this is a mlm (multi-level marketing) company you are also going to be able to recruit in new promoters and earn money from the sales that they make.

Personal Sales

When you enroll new customers to buy products you will earn 20% commissions on their purchases.

Recruitment

Recruitment of new promoters is the key to making good money here. There is no way around this with how the compensation plan is set up to favor recruitment so much.

There are multiple ways to earn off of recruitment. The first way is through what they call a Fast Start Bonus and this is a bonus that is paid out when you get promoters to enroll and purchase a Fast Track Package. The rank that you are at determines how much you will get paid here. The higher the rank the more you get paid. You will also earn a bonus from the generations beneath you, which are people that are recruited in beneath you that get other people to purchase the Fast Track Package. You will have to personally purchase one of the Fast Track Packs in order to earn this bonus

Here is a short video that explains this bonus that I found (I do not own this and it is for educational purposes only):

One of the most profitable parts of the compensation plan that pays you from recruitment are the Level Bonuses. These are bonuses that are paid from levels of promoters beneath you. There is the potential to earn from down to 8 levels here if you can move up the ranks.

Level 1 will be the promoters that you personally recruit into the business, level 2 will be the promoters that they recruit in, level 3 will be the promoters that level 2 recruits in, and so on…

There are also a bunch of other ways that you can earn money with the comp plan that Limu has in place but honestly its really confusing and I feel that what I just covers gives you the gist of it.

The Untold Reality

The way mlm’s like this are structured very few people actually make good money… most fail. The reason is because they favor recruitment so much. It is no secret that recruitment is necessary here to make good money. You need to recruit in order to move up the ranks and you need to move up the ranks if you want to unlock the full compensation plan.

The problem is that with a pyramid like mlm structure like this the majority of people are at the bottom struggling while the few are at the top making all the money. This is how it is and this is how it will always be.

I was not able to find an official income disclosure from Limu to prove this but I have reviewed enough mlm’s to know that with a comp plan like this very few will reap there rewards. I just reviewed 2 other mlm’s the other day, doTERRA & Tempo Wireless, and it is the same story with them.

Conclusion on Limu – Scam?

Limu is not a scam. They do sell legitimate products and do offer a legitimate business opportunity. Its just that the business opportunity isn’t as good as many are led to believe. There is a lot of potential to earn good money here but the reality is that most people will not.

Is Tempo Wireless a Scam? My Review of this Business Opportunity

Tempo WirelessTempo Wireless offers what has the potential to be a very lucrative business opportunity. But is it too good to be true? Is Tempo Wireless a scam like you may be suspicious of? Or is this the amazing work from home opportunity that you have been waiting for?

I decided to write this short post on Tempo Wireless because I know there are a lot of concerns from people looking into this opportunity. I am in no way affiliated with this company so you can rest assured I’ll be giving you the truth. And actually I’ll be going over some things that people in this business won’t tell you.

Tempo Wireless Overview

Tempo Wireless, which was formerly known as Lightyear Wireless, is a mlm company that sells wireless phone services. But I’m not here to review the products. They seem decent from what I have read and heard but I’ll save this for another post.

What I want to go over today is the business opportunity that is offered. Anyone can join Tempo Wireless as an independent agent and make money selling their services. Additionally as an agent you can recruit other agents into the business and make money off of them.

How You Make Money

Ok, so as I just said, you can make money on the sales that you personally make and on sales that other people make in your downline, which comes from recruitment.

Personal Sales

You can make up to $25 for each customer sale you make. You will start out making just $13 but as you move up the ranks you will be able to earn $25.

Recruitment

There are several ways that you can earn money by recruiting in other agents. This is where the big money is at…. in recruitment. If you want to move up the ranks and become a top earner you are going to have to be constantly recruiting in new agents.

One way in which you will earn from those agents beneath you is through what is called Customer Bonus Overrides. These are commissions that get passed up to you from the sales that agents make beneath you. These could come from agents that make sales that you have personally recruited in, or agents that make sales that your recruits have recruited in (confusing I know)…. it doesn’t matter. As long as they are in your downline you will get a bonus override.

You will also be able to earn what they call Residual Income down to 8 levels in your downline. The agents that you personally recruit make up your level 1, the agents that they recruit make up your level 2, and so on all the way to level 8. You will be able to earn between 1-4%  off of the sales made on these levels as shown…

The Reality Of This Business

There are 2 harsh realities that I need to bring to your attention. The first is that mlm’s are hard to make money in. Because of how this compensation plan favors recruitment and you pretty much need a big downline to make good money…. not many people make good money. This is because the pyramid-like mlm structure will always have more people at the bottom than at the top, which is where you want to be.

This reality is the same for just about every mlm. I just reviewed two other mlms the other day, doTERRA & Jerky Direct, and they are the same sad story.

The second reality here is that selling people on Tempo Wireless isn’t going to be easy. I know they have the whole “refer 3 customers and get free phone service” thing going on.. and that is very enticing, but this still won’t be easy. Especially because from what I have heard their service is not very good in a lot of areas and this leads to customers dropping like flies.

Conclusion On Tempo Wireless – Scam?

Tempo Wireless is not a scam by any means. Their service seems to be a decent and you can definitely make money as an agent. Some people make very good money I am sure. But the reality is that it is not easy to make money here. The compensation structure is set up in a way that has massive potential but only allows a small number of people to achieve that potential. Because in order to make good money at the top, you have to have people beneath you, many of which will be struggling.

I don’t particularly care for mlm’s in general but I will say that this is a decent mlm opportunity. Its not the worst I’ve seen.

Is doTERRA a Pyramid Scheme? My Review Of This Business Opportunity

doterradoTERRA has what can potentially be a pretty good money making opportunity. But is this business opportunity over-hyped? And what about all the recruitment that goes on… is doTERRA a pyramid scheme type scam that is going to be a waste of your time and money?

I know there are a lot of questions swirling around the business opportunity that doTERRA offers so I decided to write this post to give you my take on it. I’ll be going over how you make money, the mlm (pyramid) side to it all, whether or not I think its a pyramid scheme, and more.

doTERRA Overview

doTERRA is a health and wellness mlm company that sells essential oils. I am a big fan of essential oils and own two oil diffusers in my house, so I like what they bring to the table here. They seem to be very good quality and somewhat overpriced… but who knows… maybe they really go to great lengths to ensure the best quality and purest oils.

But anyway, I’m here to talk about the business opportunity not the products. I’m sure you are well aware that anyone can join doTERRA and make money with them. They are a direct sales company and this means that their team of independent distributors, or “wellness advocates” as they call them, are the ones who do all the selling and marketing.

The “pyramid scheme” part of this business is how they are mlm and distributors can recruit in other distributors and make money off of them.

How You Make Money

There are 2 basic ways that you make money here. You can either sell doTERRA products yourself of you can recruit in other distributors and make money from the products that they sell.

When you make direct sales you will earn 25% profits on those sales. This is a decent number. It isn’t anything great but its nothing terrible either.

But the real money comes into play when you recruit. Recruitment is key if you want to make good money here. Its all about recruiting in more distributors underneath you, moving up the ranks, and earning money off of them.

doTERRA has several ways you can earn off of recruitment but the main way is their Unilevel Organizational Bonus. This compensation structure goes 7 levels deep. The distributors that you personally recruit in make up your level 1, the people that they recruit make up your level 2, and so on all the way to level 7.

You can see the table below that I took a screenshot of which shows you the commission percentage you will earn per level.

Another important thing to note is that you need to move up the ranks to unlock the whole comp plan. And moving up the ranks is all about recruitment. While you do need to sell a specified amount of products on your own, recruitment is going to be your main focus.

Pyramid Scheme?

Although this compensation plan does really push distributors to go out and recruit, I still can’t call this a pyramid scheme. The reason for this is because they do make distributors sell products to remain active. It may be a “shady” mlm, but calling it a pyramid scheme just isn’t right.

Also, according to their 2016 income disclosure 67% of all sales come from customers and not distributors. This is a pretty good number and, if true, pretty much proves this isn’t a pyramid scheme. Because the only way this would be one would be if it were too reliant on recruitment for its revenues.

Conclusion On doTERRA – Scam?

doTERRA is not a scam nor is it a pyramid scheme. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean its a good business opportunity for you. The fact of the matter is that with mlm’s like this very few people make good money. In order to make good money you pretty much have to recruit and build up a big downline. Because of the pyramid-like structure, there are always going to be many more people at the bottom struggling than at the top, which is where all the money is made.

I wasn’t able to find any clear income disclosure from doTERRA that proves this. The one I found didn’t give all the numbers and didn’t show how much distributors in the lower ranks made on average. But I have reviewed enough mlms (Jerky Direct & Valentus recently) to know that with a compensation structure like this one very few people will make good money.

So if you are going to pursue this opportunity just know the reality of it.

Is Jerky Direct a Scam? My Take On This Business Opportunity

Jerky Direct claims to have what can potentially be a good money making opportunity for individuals. But is this opportunity over-hyped? Is Jerky Direct a scam possibly? Or is this the legit work-from-home business opportunity that you have been waiting for?

I decided to write this review after looking into this business opportunity because I know there are a lot of questions out there that need answered and there are many people that are suspicious of the legitimacy of this all. In this short post I’ll be going over how the business works, how you make money, the downside to it all, and more.

jerky directJerky Direct Overview

Jerky Direct is a mlm company that sells beef jerky. They pride themselves on how they keep their products simple and don’t over-hype them. I like this about them. There are a lot of mlm’s out there that hop on new fads and exploit new “superfood” trends. Jerky Direct doesn’t do this.

But anyways, I’m not going to be discussing the beef jerky here. I’m here to talk about the business opportunity.

Anyone can become an affiliate for Jerky Direct and make commissions selling their beef jerky. Also, because this is a mlm, affiliates can make money by recruiting in other affiliates which is a big part of the business.

Cost Of Joining

In order to become an affiliate you will have to pay a yearly fee. For the first year it is $15.95 and for the years after that it is $14. Its nothing bad nor high in price by any means.

How You Make Money

As mentioned, you will be able to make money by both selling products on your own and by recruiting others into this business beneath you.

Personal Sales

Jerky Direct will give you your own personal website to sell their beef jerky. When someone buys something on your site you will get a $2 commission along with a $2 bonus. So you will get $4 total from the sales on your site, which are sales of the Twin Pack and the Sampler Pack.

Recruitment

When you recruit another affiliate into the business you will earn 100% commissions on their first purchase. After that you will earn according to a 7 level comp plan.

The 7 level comp plan is uni-level, meaning that there can be unlimited people on each level. The affiliates that you personally recruit in make up your level 1. The affiliates that they recruit in make up your level 2… and so on all the way down to level 7. Below is a table that shows how much commissions you can earn from each level beneath you…

Each product that is sold gives out a $5  commission which is then distributed according to the levels as you can see…

I know this compensation plan might be a bit confusing, and honestly its somewhat hard to explain, so here is a video that goes over it which you might find helpful… (This is for educational purposes only and I do not own this video)

The Harsh Reality Here

With a pyramid-like mlm compensation structure like the one that Jerky Direct has here you will need to recruit to make good money. There is no way around this. Sure, you do have to make sales yourself to stay active, but recruitment is key. All the big earners here have massive downlines and recruit pretty much non-stop.

The problem with earning money from those beneath you is that this creates a very uneven income distribution and only the top few percent make the majority of the money…. which means most people fail.

I wish I could have found a Jerky Direct official income disclosure but I could not. However, I have reviewed dozens and dozens of mlm’s over the years (Valentus & Exfuze recently) and I know that with a 7 level comp structure like this one very few will make good money. That is just the reality of it.

Conclusion On Jerky Direct – Scam?

Jerky Direct is not a scam, I definitely wouldn’t call it one. Their products, which are jerky, are legit and seem to be top of the line. The only problem I have with this business opportunity is that they make it seem easier and better than it really is. They should show an income disclosure so that new affiliates can see how difficult it actually is.

There is a lot of potential to make good money with Jerky Direct but the fact of the matter is that not many people will make good money. MLM’s like this have extremely high turnover rates for a reason.

So if you are going to pursue this opportunity just know the reality of it, and not the stories that you may hear about how easy it is because they aren’t true.

Is Valentus a Pyramid Scheme? My Review Of This Business Opportunity

ValentusValentus has what can potentially be a pretty lucrative business opportunity for some people. But is this too good to be true? Is Valentus a pyramid scheme type scam? I mean after all, recruitment is a big part of this business.

There is a good bit of controversy surrounding this business opportunity because of the mlm structure and all the recruitment that goes on. Because of this I decided to write this short review for people that are looking for honest answers. I’ll be going over how this business works, how you make money, whether I think its a pyramid scheme or not, and more.

Valentus Overview

Valentus is a mlm company that sells product dealing with energy boosting, weight loss, immune support and a few other things. Their products seem to be very good quality and they claim they are made from natural and pure ingredients.

But the products aren’t my focus here. I’m looking at the business opportunity that this place has. They are a direct sales company. This means that independent representatives, which anyone can become, are the ones that do all the sales and marketing.

As an independent rep you can make money by both selling Valentus products to consumers and by recruiting in other reps, which is the controversial part of it all and is what has people calling this business a pyramid scheme.

Cost To Join

In order to join you are going to have to purchase a product pack to get started. These range in price from $59.95 for the Basic Pack to $499.95 for the Business Builder Pack. Additionally you will have to pay a one time charge of $20 to get your own Valentus website.

The Compensation Plan

There are 7 ways you can earn money with the comp plan that Valentus has in place but these all fall into 2 main categories: retail sales and recruitment.

Retail Sales:

You will be able to earn 25% commission on the sales that you make through your own personal Valentus website. In order to earn these retail sale commissions you must however sell at least 50BV (business value) worth of products each month.

Recruitment:

Recruitment is where the big money is at. If you look at all the top earners in a business like this recruitment is going to be a priority for them.

I’m not going to get into how all this works too much here because it gets pretty confusing, but I’ll go over 2 of the ways you can earn with recruitment.

The first is the Legacy Qualification Bonus. Here there is a tertiary mlm structure where there are 3 positions beneath each person. You will earn money here by recruiting in new representatives that reach the rank of Ruby beneath you. Here is a diagram to show you what it looks like..

Another big way to earn through recruitment is with the Dual Team Cycle Commissions. This has a binary payout structure which means that there are 2 positions that need filled with other representatives below each person in your downline…

Pyramid Scheme?

Ok, so obviously there is a lot of focus on recruitment with this business model. If you want to make good money you are going to need to recruit. However, there is also focus on product sales. But the problem that I have with it is that there isn’t really any focus on product sales to the general public… just on product sales in general.

Everything in this comp plan relies on BV of business volume. You move up the ranks by increasing your BV and this is how you earn more money. Increasing BV is all about selling more products. But the shady side of this all is that you can actually increase your BV by just buying the products for yourself.

So you literally could move up the ranks by just buying products yourself. I do not like this and I think there should be more focus on product sales to the general public. This often leads to representatives buying products that they don’t need just to say active or to move up ranks.

But is this enough to call it a pyramid scheme? I still cannot call it one just because I don’t know their revenues and I don’t know how much comes from representatives buying in or how much comes from public consumers.

Conclusion On Valentus – Scam?

The products sold here are legit and good quality, my only problem is with the mlm comp plan and how it focuses so much on recruitment and not enough on product sales (to the public). With a pyramid-like mlm structure like this very few people make good money because most people are at the bottom and struggle. That is why businesses like this have extremely high turnover rates.

I just reviewed 2 mlm’s the other day, Exfuze & Global Wealth Trade, and it is the same sad story with them as well and pretty much every other mlm that I’ve looked into.

So if you are going to pursue this opportunity just know the reality of it, and not the stories that you may hear about how easy it is because they aren’t true.

Something else that you might want to look into if you are looking for a work-from-home job is how I make money online. I make a living online and I enjoy what I do. Here is the program that got me started and got me to where I currently am, making $5k + per month.
