20 Cogs is a website that is free to joining claims that you can make easy money online through them. But is it worth your time and is it really as good as they say? Or is 20 Cogs a scam that you should be avoiding like the plague? These are important questions that should be answered before you decide to sign up or not and I’ll be helping you answer these.

In this review I will be going over how the site works, what exactly you will be doing, much money you can realistically make, complaints and more. After reading this you will have a better idea of whether or not this site is what you are looking for and is worth your time or not.

20 Cogs Review

They tell you that you can easily make money online and believe it or not this is actually true. It seems that more times than not, when an opportunity to make money online is presented as an “easy” it turns out to be a scam but this is not the case here.

You can easily make money with 20 Cogs and you will do this by completing offers, which generally consists of you registering for some website and signing up for a trial of their product/service.

How is a site like this even possible? How can they pay you?

Well.. they get paid for advertising. When you sign up for a free trial (for example) through them they get paid and then share some of that money with you. This is where the money comes from in case you were wondering. It is pretty much the same thing as Express My Cash Freebies if you have ever heard of this place.

How It Works

When you sign up for free you will first be presented with an offer that you can complete. If you don’t like it you can choose to get an alternate offer. There are three that you can choose from.

There will be instructions on what you have to do to take the offer and get your cog. This usually includes a couple very simple steps, such as signing up and maybe doing something else.

Your offer might be to sign up for a free trial of some service, like Netflix or game fly; it might be to sign up for some site and complete a survey; it might be to sign up somewhere in then play some game; or it could be to sign up for an online gambling website and deposit £10, for which you will then get £20 worth of cogs back for. The online gambling websites seem to be very popular offers and you will more than likely come across one of these.

Below you can see a screenshot I took of the dashboard inside 20 Cogs. I have circled the area where you have your call cogs. They will be a gray (or amber) color when the cog pending approval and when it gets approves it will turn green, in which you will get credit for it and earn money.

Getting Paid

They pay out three times a week and you have the choice of getting paid via BACS or PayPal. Nothing to complain about here. PayPal is always my choice when it is an option on sites like this.

How Much Can You Realistically Make?

Generally speaking, the offers that you sign up for that require you to pay are the ones that you will make more from. You might be able to make £10 on some of them, which is pretty nice.

But if you think this is a way to strike it rich that you are way off base. You will not be making £100’s per day on this site… It just isn’t going to happen. The money is easy to make but you won’t make a lot of.

What’s nice is that they don’t lead you on believing that you are going to make a lot. They actually stay on their site that you will not make hundreds per day,Which is why this opportunity is best looked at as a way to make some extra money in your spare time. It should not be used as a reliable means of income that you depend on.

A Helpful Tip

One tip that I have for you is to keep good track of the trials that you sign up for. Make a list of them along with the start date and end date. This way you can cancel them before you get charged the full price for whatever it is that you signed up for.

I’m assuming that you are probably going to be using 20 Cogs for the opportunity to make money and not to test out free trials and such. I mean if you come across something that you like, then sure… Keep if you want, but the last thing you want is to be charged for something you signed up for just to make money online. So just keep good track of it.

Complaints

I have been reading through quite a lot of user reviews and what I have found is that most people have a positive opinion of this website. You can go to  TrustPilot, which is an independent review site, to read some of the reviews that users have left.

That said, there are some negative reviews that were left which is no surprise. It doesn’t matter how good a company is… There will always be complaints from one thing or another.

Some of the complaints include:

Not Getting Credit

I have read about some people not getting credit for cogs that they should have gotten credit for. What I mean by this is that they completely cog, it turns to the gray (or amber) pending color, but never turns to the green approved color so they never get their money.

These complaints could be premature. Maybe these people just complained a bit too early and got credit soon after, but I don’t know. Either way it is worth bringing to your attention.

Support Problems

Going along with the complaint above, the same people claim that the support is horrible and will ignore your issue of not receiving credit. That said, there are also reviews I have read about how great the support is. So there are people on both sides of the fence here and it is difficult to know which to believe.

Scam or Not?

20 Cogs is definitely not a scam. Sure, there are complaints, but as I said there will be complaints no matter how good something is.

This is a legitimate company and they do pay their members as they should for the most part. Their operation is also legitimate. They simply earn commissions by getting you to sign up for these offers and to share those commissions with you via the cogs.

Final Thoughts – Worth Joining?

It’s not a scam but whether or not it is worth joining is another question that depends on your situation and what you are looking for. If you are looking for a way to make a little bit of extra money online very easily then this might be something worth your time, but if you are looking to earn substantial money, or money that you can depend on then this is not a great opportunity for you.

The bottom line is that you can make easy money on the site in small amounts but this is definitely nothing that you should be trying to depend on to put the food on your table. Join and earn some extra money doing this stuff on your lunch break or something like that, but don’t hold off on looking for a job because you’re trying to make money on this site.

But anyway… Overall I am a fan of 20 Cogs. I review make money online opportunities like this all the time and I like what I see here. They are honest, legitimate, and in my opinion this is a much better way to make money online than paid survey sites like Swagbucks, MyPoints, etc.
