Computer Technical Guys by Linda Taylor – Another Nasty Scam

Computer Technical Guys Review

Computer Technical Guys claims to be the “#1 choice for success online” but this is very far from the truth. The truth is that there is no realistic chance of being successful with this program. Is Computer Technical Guys a scam?

This program is filled with deceptive information that is intended to lure in new customers with the hopes and dreams of making tons of easy money online, when in reality this program will not provide what it claims to. They tell you that you can make $379 per day with this opportunity but if anyone even made a couple bucks a day with it I would be surprised.

What Is Computer Technical Guys?

Computer Technical Guys is a program that is presented by a woman named Linda Taylor. She supposedly was once a single mom struggling to get by when she then came across this opportunity to make money online and it changed her life… Which is the opportunity she trying to get you to buy into.

What she tells you is that there are companies out there looking for people to work from home posting links for them and that they will pay good money to have people do this. And while what she tells you is loosely based on truth, is very misleading.

There are companies that will pay people to “post links”. It’s called affiliate marketing and this is when you get paid commissions for promoting products for companies online. What you would do is promote products, for Amazon for example, and when people click on your affiliate links then proceed to purchase the product you’re promoting, you get paid a commission.

However… There is much more to it than just this. I have been working as an affiliate marketer since 2015 online and I’ve a lot of experience in this area. I will go over in a bit why what “Linda Taylor” tells you will not work, but first I want to point out some of the trickery and scam tactics that are used to lure people into this ridiculous scam.

Smells Like a Scam Because It Is

Ridiculous Income Claims

She tells you that on average you’ll be able to make $15 per link that you post and that each link will only take about 1 to 2 minutes to post. This sounds like a piece of cake right? Well of course if it was this easy then everyone would be doing it in the truth is it is not this simple.

First off, there is a lot more to it than just posting links, which as I said I will go over shortly. And second off, you will not earn $15 per link that you post. There is no way to predict how much you will earn per link. You might earn $0.25 with one link, zero dollars with another link, $500 with another link… You just never know and it is stupid to say that you will earn $15 per link.

Misleading Info

When you are on the sales page you will notice a bunch of different news logos at the top. Above it says “work from home opportunities have been featured on:”. This is somewhat of an attempt to gain credibility in the eyes of the reader. While they don’t come straight out and lie to you, saying that this program has been featured on the news, it is somewhat misleading to show a bunch of news logos like this because it makes people think that this program is the real deal.

Well of course work from home opportunities have been featured on the news but there are thousands of different work from home opportunities out there and these have nothing to do with this BS Computer Technical Guys program.

They also tell you “congratulations” and that there are currently positions left in your area. This is just a false scarcity marketing tactic to try to make you think that you have to buy in right now or else this opportunity might not be available if you wait too long.

Linda Taylor Does Not Exist

“Linda Taylor” doesn’t even exist. This might be the biggest eye-opener and proof that this is a scam of all. When I first came across this program I knew right away that it was a scam because I have seen this type of thing multiple times before.

Below you can see a screenshot I took of “Linda Taylor” along with her background story and then you can see another screenshot I took of “Karen Williams” and her background story. This “Karen Williams” character is from an identical scam program I reviewed recently called The Computer Geeks.Computer Technical Guys Linda Taylor

As you can see the pictures of the two women are different but the background stories are exactly the same.

These two scams are the exact same with the exception of a different name… the one I’m reviewing now is called Computer Technical Guys and the one I reviewed before is called The Computer Geeks. You can see screenshots I took of these two websites here…

And there is plenty more where that came from. I have reviewed a lot of these link posting scams in the past including Home Based Wealth System, Computer Experts Online, and a list of others.

“Link Posting” Doesn’t Work

This “Link posting” stuff just doesn’t work. Their entire approach will never work out and anyone who joins these types of programs will just end up disappointed and discouraged. You cannot just go around spamming links everywhere via email, forums, social media, etc. and expect to make money doing so. People will just ignore your links and you will never help make sales, which is the only time you actually earn money.

Just think about it… You likely clicked a link to get to this Computer Technical Guys scam but even after that you did not buy into it. Instead you were suspicious and did some research, then coming across my review here. The same thing is going to happen if you just go around spamming links everywhere like this program teaches you to do.

Like I said, affiliate marketing is a legitimate way to wake make money online. Pretty much every big company out there, Amazon, Walmart, Macy’s, Apple, etc.… they all have affiliate programs where they will pay people to promote their products. But this just isn’t as easy as “Linda Taylor” lead you to believe.

I started out affiliate marketing in 2015 and now I make a living doing this. If you want to learn how to do it the right way then I would suggest taking a look at the Wealthy Affiliate training program, which is what I am a member of.

Conclusion on Computer Technical Guys – AVOID

This is your pretty typical “make money online” scam. It is designed to lure people in by making ridiculous income claims about how easy it is to make money with this opportunity, but fails to deliver.

If you do buy into this you will end up getting some training and a cookie-cutter website but neither is going to do you any good. The website isn’t worth more than a dollar and the training will only lead you in the wrong direction, wasting your time.

It is unfortunate but there are a lot more scam make money online programs out there than legitimate ones. You just have to be careful what you get into and make sure to do your due diligence before buying into anything.

PaidSocialMediaJobs.com, Scam or Legit? – Depends On What Your Definition of a Scam Is…

PaidSocialMediaJobs Scam

PaidSocialMediaJobs.com it supposedly a website that will help you “get paid to mess around on Facebook”. They tell you that you will be able to make money doing the things you already do on social media. But is this place really is great as it sounds? Or is it a scam in one way or another that is just going to be a waste of your time and money?

In this review I’ll be answering exactly that. You are going to want to read what I have to say if you’re thinking about buying into this. It is not as good as it seems and there are some concerns that I will address.

PaidSocialMediaJobs.com Review

Paid Social Media Jobs is a site that was created by a woman named “Annie Jones” who was supposedly at one point a single mother who had lost her job and was struggling to make ends meet. Then she supposedly was introduced to this whole paid to social media thing by another mom and after that her life turned around.

What her site, PaidSocialMediaJobs.com, does is provides some training and a database for different ages social.

On the website she talks about how big businesses like McDonald’s, Coca Cola, and small businesses all are trying to gain popularity on social media, however, they are too busy and often outsource this type of social media management work to other people… which is where you come in.

She claims that with no experience can make up to $25-$35/hr doing simple tasks such as post Facebook status updates, uploading Youtube videos, Tweeting, etc.

Supposedly you don’t need any experience and it is “easy to get started”.

Sounds a little bit too good to be true doesn’t it? Well yeah… That’s because she does make it sound much easier than it really is. This is the reason I’m writing this review because I want people to know the truth of it before buying in and finding out for themselves.

Can You Really Make Money Doing This?

The answer is yes. There are many different paid social where you can earn money tweeting, liking Facebook posts, creating pages, uploading YouTube videos, etc. However, it is not as easy as she tells you it is.

It’s not like PaidSocialMediaJobs.com is the only place that you can find these social media jobs like she kind of leads you to believe. There are many different freelance sites out there, such as Fiverr, Truelancer, Upwork, or even Picoworkers, where you can find freelance paid social like this. And believe me when I say there is a lot of competition. It’s not like you just go out and start getting jobs that are paying $25-$35 per hour right out of the gate. This is incredibly misleading and just won’t happen.

You are going to be in the freelance market and while it is possible to make $25-$35 per hour at some points, there is a very very slim chance that this will happen early on due to competition and even if it does happen it will not be sustainable. It’s not like you’re going to find a contract position paying this amount of money. Most paid social that you will find are “gigs” where you just complete something and get paid for that one job.

I also saw that there was a calculator where could calculate your expected income from these jobs. What you would do is determine how many social media jobs you are planning on doing a day, the average amount you would earn per job, and how many days a week you would be working, then it would spit out the amount of money you’d be making. However this thing is absolutely ridiculous because you have no idea how many jobs you will be able to get and you have no idea how much you will be making an average…

Should You Pay $37 to Join?

Like I said, there are plenty of other sites out there we can find these paid social. PaidSocialMediaJobs.com is nothing special when it comes to this. In reality, PaidSocialMediaJobs.com it’s worse when it comes to this. The database that they provide is not very “lively”. On much more popular sites, such as Fiverr as I mentioned above, there is a lot more opportunity… A lot more people looking to pay freelancers for these kind of jobs.

Sure, if you join them pay the $37 you will receive some training on how to establish a reputable presence in the freelance market with social media jobs like this, but from what I have seen and know the training is very basic and can easily be found for free on Google, YouTube, etc.

So not only are other freelance sites much better for finding paid social media jobs because they have much larger databases and are much more popular, but they are also free to use. In addition you can also find everything in the training for free online. So what is the point of paying $37 for it? There is no point in my opinion.

Misleading Information & Lies

Not only does “Annie Jones” lure people in with the idea that they can make easy money doing this, which is deceptive and very misleading, but there is also a good chance that this lady doesn’t even exist.

I ran a reverse Google images search of her photo and found that it is actually a stock photo that anyone can buy online and use as they wish. The lady in the photo is not “Annie Jones”. This is all a lie that was put together for the purpose of promoting this program.

So now I don’t know what to believe. Does Annie Jones actually exist and this is just a fake image? Or is the whole thing completely made up? This is the type of behavior that really destroys this program’s credibility.

PaidSocialMediaJobs.com Annie Jones

Conclusion on PaidSocialMediaJobs.com – Scam?

I do not consider PaidSocialMediaJobs a full-blown scam but I guess whether you do or not depends on your definition of a scam. There is no doubt that is a good bit of “scammy” activity going on with it. Overall they really just make the opportunity sound much easier and much better than it really is and they sell you stuff that can easily be had for free online. And of course there is the whole thing about the fake “Annie Jones” image.

Overall this is definitely not a place I recommend buying into. I just don’t see the value in it and don’t like being lied to and misled.

Clicks Dealer, Scam or Legit? – A Review You Should Read

Clicks Dealer Scam

Clicks Dealer (at clicksdealer.com) is supposedly the “most effective platform for flipping ads”. But is what they tell you really true? Can you really make money with ad flipping on this platform? Or is this all just a big smokescreen for some sort of scam?

Of course the first thing you need to know before investing money into something like this is whether or not they are legit. Is this something you can really make money with and is it worth your time? In this review I’ll be answering the sorts of questions and giving my own opinion of the site.

Spoiler alert: there are some serious concerns I have and this seems like a very well could be a scam.

Clicks Dealer Review

Okay, so first off what the heck is Clicks Dealer?

Well in a nutshell it is a ad flipping platform that allows you to buy and sell banner ads, similar to Banner Bit. They have ads for all sorts of different things such as Fisher-Price, Nike, different sporting events, Porsche, and a bunch more. The goal is to purchase banner ads, earn revenue from the clicks that they are able to generate, and hopefully sell them or “flip” them if they go up in price.

These banner ads are placed on websites all over the place and supposedly work like normal ads you see.

Right off the bat I am very suspicious of what I see here. Why? Well because there have been tons of these “ad flipping” scams popping up all over the Internet lately and it seems to be a growing trend. Some such scams that I have reviewed include Daily Banner Profits, Free Ad Cash System, Bitcoin Advertising, and others. But anyway, you can’t always judge a book by its cover so I to do a little more investigating to find out if this place really is a scam or not.

When I first created my account and logged in the first thing that came up was an introduction video. I recognize the lady in the video right away because she is a paid actress on Fiverr, a digital marketplace where people can pay actors to create promotional videos and all sorts of other things. Now of course this definitely does not mean that this is a scam but it does raise my suspicion a bit more because of how often I see scams use paid actors/actresses in their videos. It would have been nice to see someone that is actually from the ClicksDealer company behind the video instead of them just paying someone.

clicks dealer site

A Look at The Platform

When you go inside the platform you will be able to look at the various ads they have available. You will be able to search for specific types of ads or just view all of them as I am in the screenshot below. It will tell you what type of attitude is and the current price.

Then over on the left menu of the dashboard you will be able to see your account, your bids, transactions, portfolio, etc.

Red Flags – Looks Like a Scam

#1

A major problem that I have is that there is no information about these ads. If you click on one of the ads it does not tell you anything about it really. It just tells you the price and how many days are left available for you to be able to purchase it.

For example I clicked on the World Cup ad and you can see in the screenshot below what comes up. There is absolutely no information. You have no idea what this ad looks like, which websites is going to be on, what company the ad is for, etc. You know absolutely nothing except for the price and how many days are left to buy it.

You can also see below that I wrote “fake timer”. This is because there is this countdown from around 10 seconds when I clicked on the ad and when the timer ran out it said that I was too late and that someone had just purchased it. However this was obviously fake because I don’t see how it would be possible to perfectly predict when someone is going to purchase an ad in the future. And besides that after the timer ran out I just clicked on the ad again and there was all of the sudden a new timer that did the same stupid thing. This is just a little trick to try to get people to buy and as soon as possible.

#2

Before you can purchase any of these ads of course you first have to deposit money into your account. There is a minimum deposit of $199.

The problem I have isn’t with the deposit amount it is with the different packages available for purchase. When you make your deposit you can choose to purchase the Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, or Diamond Package. These packages will supposedly give you matching bonuses ranging from 20% to 200%. This means that when you deposit money they will match the amount of your deposit to whatever percentage the package is that you bought into.

So if you invest in the diamond package you will get a 200% matching bonus. This means if you invest $200 you will end up getting $400 in your account.clicks dealer packages

This would be awesome if it were actually true but I am having a very hard time believing that it is. How can this possibly be true? How can this possibly be a sustainable business model? The answer is it can’t. I do not see how this is even close to being possible. A 200% matching bonus… Are you kidding me.

#3

And of course they have a referral program where you can get paid up to $1000 for each referral. In addition the people that you refer well get a 25% bonus on their first purchase. Sounds awesome and everything but once again… How the heck can this possibly be sustainable?

Not only is there no way that this is sustainable, but they also don’t even provide a referral link. So how are you going to refer people and get credit for it if they do not provide a referral link that you will be able to share online and get people to sign up through? This makes absolutely no sense at all and I actually use the live chat support feature on the website to ask them about this. You can see my conversation with one of their support representatives below…

As you can see this site is an absolute mess. They don’t even provide a referral link and then when I ask support about this they have no idea how to answer and tell me that an “account manager” is going to call me to discuss and explain this.

The problem here is that I never received the call because when I signed up I put a fake phone number in because I was suspicious that it was a scam. But anyways… They are probably going to tell me some BS story anyhow which would make absolutely no sense because I don’t see any good explanation for this.

Conclusion on Clicks Dealer – Scam?

So is Clicks Dealer a scam or not? Well I didn’t actually deposit money and tested out so I cannot tell you with 100% certainty but I can tell you that I am pretty darn sure it’s a scam. There is nothing about the site that seems legitimate. When reviewing sites that I am very suspicious of such as this one I look for any reason that it is legitimate and with this site I I have found nothing. Throughout my investigation I only found more reasons that this is more than likely a scam.

Like I said there are a lot of “ad flipping” scams going around’s you have to be careful.

They provide no information on the ads your purchasing and no proof that they do what they say. There is no proof that this platform actually allows you to buy and sell ads. For all I know they might just be a Ponzi scheme that uses the cover-up of and ad flipping platform. Who knows…

But anyway… I definitely do not recommend anyone buy into this. It is way too shady.

Legit Online Jobs Scam by Ross Williams – Avoid This Filthy Scam

Legit Online Jobs scamLegit Online Jobs (at legitonlinejobs.com) is a a website created by guy named Ross Williams that can supposedly give you access to some “secret system” that he is making $9000 per month with. He claims that it is very easy and that anyone can do it regardless of their experience or skill set… But is this really true? After all it seems that most of the “make money online” programs out there are nothing more than big fat scams looking to rip people off. So is Legit Online Jobs another scam or is this the real deal?

Well… I don’t like to disappoint but unfortunately this is a scam. I know I know, it sucks that you aren’t able to make $9,000 plus per month this easily but that’s just the way it is. The only person that is going to be getting rich with the system is Ross Williams the creator. You will be getting rich by suckering people to buy into it.

Legit Online Jobs Review

Legit Online Jobs is supposedly created by guy named Ross Williams, which you can see in the picture above. This guy supposedly used to have a great IT job but then got laid off back in the 2008 financial crisis. After scouring the web and wasting a lot of time looking into scams he finally found something that worked… Which of course is this program that he is now presenting to you.

With this program he claims there are no special skills needed and you do not need any experience. Anyone can do it of course and of course it is super super easy… Like I haven’t heard this before.

How It Works (Allegedly)

Ross explains to you that you will be posting short text ads for companies and working on your own schedule. He claims that “Companies worldwide are desperately searching for people just like you to type up their ads and post them online” and of course that you’ll make a ton of money doing so.

He then goes on to show you that it is as easy as 123…

From what he shows you it seems that all you have to do is create an account with this Legit Online Jobs system, select companies within the system, and then just post a bunch of links everywhere. He suggests using social media, classified ads, online forums, etc. to post these ads.

And of course Ross claims he is making over $9,000/mo doing this stuff. He also provides an income calculator that you can enter in different variables and see how much you can potentially make doing this. But this is all a bunch of BS as I will explain.

The Truth Behind The Lies

Ross makes it seem as if you are just posting these short text ads for companies all over the place and you are going to make tons of money doing so. However, as I’ve mentioned multiple times, this is a bunch of BS.

Big companies like the ones he claims you’re going to be doing this for do not pay regular everyday people to post ads for them. They have massive marketing teams made up of professionals that work on this.

This system that Ross is explaining seems to be loosely related to what is called “affiliate marketing”. Affiliate marketing is actually how I make a living working online so I’m very familiar with it. It is when you promote different products for companies online and earn commissions when you helped make sales. So is not like you’re just posting ads for companies and getting paid to do so. You are permitting various products and only earning commissions when you helped make that final sale.

The income calculator that Ross provides, which I took a screenshot of above, is extremely misleading because you never know how much you will actually make promoting products. You only get paid when you helped make the final sale and you never know how many people are going to click on your affiliate links and actually follow through to purchase the product. There is no way possible of accurately predicting this. To say that you’re going to make $40 for each ad or promotion is absolutely ridiculous.

*Here Is The Program That Turned Me Into a Full-time Affiliate Marketer

Why Using This System Will Not Make You Money

While in some of what Ross tells you is true to some extent, it is very misleading. He tells you that you will be posting ads for companies and making money doing so which I guess is not too far from the truth, but anyways that is not the point. The point is that even if you do use the system you will not make money.

Why? Well because none of these companies want people going around spamming ads (promotional links) everywhere.

Companies like Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Adidas, Nike, and pretty much every other big company out there have affiliate programs where you can get paid to help promote products and earn commissions doing so as I explained above. However these programs don’t just allow anyone to go out there and promote their products. You first will have to apply to become an affiliate and if they see that you are just spamming links everywhere they’re going to kick your butt out. This is the type of stuff they do not want any part of.

Lots of Similar Scams Out There

This reminds me a lot of many other scams I have reviewed over the years called “Link posting” scams like Home Based Wealth System, Link Cash System, The Computer Geeks, etc. Basically what they will tell you is the same type of thing. They will say that can make tons of money posting links for companies and will provide you with income calculators as if you’re going to make a set amount of money for every link that you post. And of course if you buy into their system you get set up with these companies and they tell you what links to post and where to post them.

As a general role of thumb, if something sounds too good to be true than it probably is. This little saying will save you from a lot of scams that are out there and is something to think about. This Legit Online Jobs opportunity sounds way too good to be true. How can you make $9,000 per month doing very little work like this? The answer is you can’t. If it were this easy everyone would be jumping in on the opportunity and this added competition would just make it less lucrative. But of course it’s a scam so most people are avoiding it.

Conclusion on LegitOnlineJobs.com – Scam

It would be much better if they would just change their name to Scam Online Jobs. This would much better represent the opportunity at hand and people would know what they’re getting themselves into. But of course that would defeat the purpose. The purpose of this website is to scam people out of their money. If they told you it was a scam then they would not make any money out of it.

Oh and by the way, this Ross Williams guy probably doesn’t even exist. I mean I know there are lots of people out there with the name Ross Williams but what I am saying is that this particular Ross Williams is more than likely made up. I did some digging around on him and couldn’t really find anything to prove that he does really exist. With scams is very common to see made up names and fake images used because of course the scammers did not want to reveal their true identity knowing that they are going to create many enemies from ripping people off.

Millionaire Edge System Review – Wow… What a Scam

Millionaire Edge

Millionaire Edge claims to be a system that can supposedly generate you over $10,000 per day. But is this really true? Of course it is not! Millionaire Edge is a scam, nothing more and nothing less. I review scams like this all the time. There are plenty of them out there and as a good rule of thumb to avoid most of them, if things sound too good to be true than they probably are.

I’m guessing since you’re reading my review here that you are suspicious of the claims made by the system. This is good… When it comes to “make money online” products you have to be really careful. Many of them claim to be able to make you tons of money online but really only make the creators tons of money online.

But anyway… In this review I will be going over why the system is nothing more than a big fat scam that you need to avoid.

Millionaire Edge System Review

The sales page for the system starts out like typical get-rich-quick scheme. They tell you CONGRATULATIONS and act as if you have just won the lottery. It is actually fairly comical how they do this. If I remember correctly they actually showed a graphic of an alarm clock being smashed and told you that you could smash your alarm because you’re going to be able to quit your day job.

The spokesperson that is talking behind the video keeps mentioning this “My Online Business” system that he is using to make all this money online. He claims to be a millionaire several times over and tells you that you also can be a millionaire very easily with the system. Supposedly you can master the system in six easy steps by this time next week where you will then be making over $10,000 per day.

And of course it all requires barely any work. The guy claims to work on this stuff less than one hour per day. And to make things even better he claims that there is “no way you can lose money”…

However… This Is All a Bunch of BS

Everything about this sales pitch is a bunch of BS. You cannot trust anything you hear here.

There is absolutely no proof that this system works. I know that the guy shows you income statement screenshots in the video but these are very easy to create and there is no proof that these are actually real. There is no sort of proof at all that any of what he says is real. However, I do have some proof that some of what this guy says is a lie.

First off, he tells you that you are number 68 out of 70 in line to get access to this special system. But this is not true. This is just false scarcity and is intended to get viewers to buy in as soon as possible. You could go back to the site in a week or a month from now and it would be telling you the same darn thing.

All of the testimonial videos that they display are also completely fake. As soon as I saw these videos of people claiming they are making tons of money with this system I knew they were fake because I recognized some of the people in these videos. They are not real members of the system. Instead, they are paid actors from the digital marketplace called Fiverr. Fiverr is a place where you can hire people do create promotional videos and a variety of other things. These people are nothing more than paid actors who are saying what they are getting paid to say.

As you can see below I took a screenshot of the one person from the video presentation along with a screenshot of this person’s profile on Fiverr…

How To Easily Avoid 99% Of Scams Like This

Like I said in the beginning, there are many more scam “make money online” programs then legitimate ones out there. One way you can easily avoid them is by using the role of thumb I also mentioned earlier… If something sounds too good to be true than it probably is.

The fact of the matter is there is no super easy system that can have you generating over $10,000 per day in just under a week. If there were systems out there that were that easy then everyone would be getting in on them, including me. But I am staying far away from the system because I have reviewed quite a bit of scams out there and this particular one has all of the common scam characteristics. It reminds me very much of some other get-rich-quick scams I’ve reviewed such as Amazing Shortcut, Optimize Success Portal, My Online ATM, etc.

And if there really was a system out there like this why would these people be giving it away to the public? I know they usually tell you that you have been carefully selected or some BS like that, but we all know that isn’t true. And I know they also usually say that when you make money they make money but many of the times that is not true either.

But anyway… Just by sticking to the role of thumb and avoiding programs/methods/systems that sound too good to be true you can avoid 99% of the scams out there. When you come across something like this proceed with extreme caution at the very least.

Millionaire Edge Conclusion – Scam

Millionaire Edge is really nothing more than a sales funnel to sucker you into some other scam system that will never work out.

When I review systems like this that seem like obvious scams from the start, I look into them beginning with the mindset that they are already a scam. Then what I do is look for any reasons to be proven wrong. I am looking for any sort of proof that they might actually be legitimate. In this case I found absolutely no reason to believe that this system is legitimate in any way. Everything I have seen points to it being one big fat scam that everyone needs to avoid.

Of course it is your money and you can do with it what you wish, but I certainly do not recommend anyone buy into this.

Is Thrive Themes a Scam? – 2018 Review Having Used It For a Couple Years

Is Thrive Themes a scam that you should avoid using or can you trust this place and should you be using it?

Well the short answer is that NO, Thrive Themes is not a scam. I have actually been using Thrive Themes for a couple of years now and I’m finally getting around to writing this review. I have tested out most of what they have to offer and have a lot of experience with it. This website that you are on right now is actually running on one of the Thrive Themes.

Thrive Themes Review

Thrive Themes is a service that provides conversion focused WordPress themes and plug-ins. They provide a variety of different themes and plug-ins which I will be going over each of in detail. The main focus with what they provide is on optimizing conversions. It’s not about getting more traffic to your website it’s all about making better use of the traffic that you already get to your website.

The company was started by a guy named Shane Melaugh who works as the CEO. What’s really nice to see is that Shane is very active publicly and often sends out emails, video tutorials, and keeps members updated with what is going on with Thrive Themes.

Overall, over the past couple years I have been very pleased with Thrive Themes and what they provide. There have been a few hiccups here and there but using the themes and plug-ins for my websites has really helped boost conversions and if you are someone that isn’t happy with the conversions you are currently getting on your WP site then Thrive Themes might be something really worth considering.

If you want to jump ahead to any part of this review you can do so here:

A Look at The Products

Thrive Themes products

As I said, they provide a variety of different plug-ins and themes. I’ll first be going over the different plug-ins…

Plugins

Thrive Architect:

Thrive Architect is probably their “main product” if you want to call it that. And what this is, is a drag-and-drop visual editor that makes creating beautiful looking pages very easy. It can take a little while to get used to using but once you get used to it is very nice.

With the editor you can easily create buttons, columns, icons, opt in forms, styled lists, content reveal sections, and in abundance of other page elements just by dragging them anywhere on the page. What is also nice is that once you have various elements on a page you can drag them around and move their positions to wherever you want to.

They also have pre-made templates that you can use based on what type of page you are looking to create, such as a webinar page, a sales page, a homepage, etc. This is really nice because when you first start using it they’re going to be so many options you won’t know what to do. This will give you nice template to start with and then you can edit as you go along to make it yours.

So in the screenshot below I chose a template landing page for a video course which you are able to edit any part of, and as you can see over on the left can drag any of these elements onto your page to add it where you please.

Thrive Leads:

This has probably been my biggest help when it comes to increase conversions. Thrive Leads is there a list building plug-in. What it allows you to do is create sign up forms and integrate them with different autoresponder services such as Aweber (which is what I use), GetResponse, and pretty much all the other big ones out there.

When you are creating sign-up forms you will be using the same Thrive Architect drag-and-drop editor as above. And they also provide different templates for different types of sign-up forms to make it easier on you.

You will be able to make sign-up forms that slide into your page, pop up when the person is about to exit, you can make ribbons at the top of your page or bottom, you can insert sign-up forms anywhere inside a page and more.

If what is really awesome about Thrive Leads is that you can use different sign-up forms on different areas of your site. You can set it up so that when sign-up form will appear when someone is visiting a page within a certain category while another sign-up form will appear in a different category. This is particularly great if you have a very broad site and not a narrow niche site.

And what I have found to be very effective for increasing conversions here is the A/B testing feature. What you can do is test different optin forms against each other to see which performs best and you can set it up so that the better performing form will automatically keep running while the one with worse performance is eliminated.

Thrive Ultimatum:

This is a scarcity plug-in. What it does is provides various different types of countdown timers that are proven to boost conversions. And again when you are using this you will be using the same drag-and-drop editor to create your different countdown timers.

So if you are selling a product or maybe you are giving away a free course on something, you can add these custom countdown timers to show visitors that they better take action soon. You can set them up so that they start and end on certain times dates or you can do what is called an “evergreen campaign”. Evergreen campaigns are pretty awesome because you can make it so that a countdown timer starts with every individual visitor and if they leave that page to come back at a different time the timer will pick up where it left off. I’m not exactly sure how this works, because they say that they do not use simple IP address tracking, but anyways all and knows that it works because I have used this myself plenty of times. Even if the same user goes back to your site on a different device it will still pick up where it left off.

There are many different ways you can use this Evergreen campaign feature with Ultimatum.

Thrive Optimize:

This is a plug-in that allows you to perform split testing, or A/B testing, for pages that you created with Thrive Architect. So let’s say you just created a sales page and want to test it against a different sales page. You could create an entirely different sales page and test the two against each other or what you could do is easily duplicate your current sales page with the click of a button, change a few things around, and then test them against each other.

So just like how you could run the A/B tests with Thrive Leads you can use this plug-in to do it with entire pages.

Running split tests is probably one of the easiest things that anyone can do to increase conversions on their website, yet many people/businesses aren’t doing it. You can read this article I found to see how incredible split testing can be. But of course you will need a decent amount of website traffic for this to be effective.

Anyways… back to the review…You will be able to test your pages against each other based on different conversion goals such as optin form submissions, page visits, or revenue generation. When you choose to test two pages against each other this plug-in will automatically distribute an even amount of traffic to both pages. You will be able to go into the background of your website and view all the statistics of how well the different pages are performing with this plug-in.

Thrive Headline Optimizer:

This Headline Optimizer plug-in performs a simple job but can have a pretty big impact on conversions. All it does is helps you optimize your page/post headlines. You use it to test out different headlines and see which one is the most effective.

Headlines may not seem like that big of a deal to you, and they never seem like much of a deal to me at first either, but they should be taken seriously. They are the first thing that your visitor will see and can have a big impact on whether or not a visitor sticks around to read what you have or leaves.

So basically what you will be doing here is creating a bunch of different variations of your headline and running them against each other to see which performs the best. You will be able to set it up so that the best-performing headline is automatically selected as the winner and becomes the official headline of your page/post.

Thrive Ovation:

Here’s a plug-in that makes it easy to put testimonials on different pages/posts on your site. With this plan you’re able to capture testimonials from users, manage them in the back end of your site, and even import them from social media.

Testimonials are often something that is overlooked when it comes to many sales pages but they can be pretty effective. They are a great way to show social proof and proved to readers that what they are looking at really is as good as it seems.

Thrive Clever Widgets:

Thrive Clever Widgets is a plug-in that allows you to optimize the widgets you have on your website. With this you are able to set up the widgets so that they only show on relevant pages/posts, which is similar to what I talked about with Thrive Leads where you can set it up so that certain sign-up pages appear on certain categories of your site.

So if you have a website that is about dogs, cats, and unicorns, you can set it up so that dog related widgets only appear on the dog pages of your site, cat related widgets only appear on the cat pages of your site, and unicorn related widgets only appear on the unicorn pages of your site. This plug-in is all about displaying relevant widgets on relevant pages which as you can imagine can definitely improve conversions, no matter what type of conversions you are seeking.

Thrive Quiz Builder:

This is one of the more recent additions to their list of available plug-ins. With the quiz builder you are able to build fun quizzes that lure people in and send them in different directions. You are able to set up quizzes where the answer of each question will lead to a different result.

Quizzes are proven to be an effective way to grab people’s attention and get them to interact on the website. And of course besides this they are also good at directing people to pages/posts on your site that they might like based on the answers they have provided.

You will also be able to look at the statistics of these quizzes and see how many people are giving certain answers. This allows you to better get to know your visitor base so that you can provide more helpful information which in turn will lead to better conversions.

Thrive Comments:

There really isn’t much to this plug-in but it is nice, much nicer than the normal comment sections on WP websites. What this does is allows you to make the comment section of your website much more engaging. Visitors will be able to share comments on social media as well as up-vote comments.

This will hopefully lead to more visitor engagement which can actually have a positive impact on your SEO.

Themes

I’m not going to go into detail on all of the different themes that they offer but I’ll give you a basic overview.

As I am writing this they have 10 different themes that you can choose from. They all differ a bit with how they look and their focus but provide much of the same features. As you can see below here are three different theme examples, two of them having more of a magazine type look while the one on the bottom being more of a blog type theme…

Some of the benefits to having a Thrive Theme rather than many of the other WP themes out there include…

  • Fast loading
  • Have landing page templates
  • Fully mobile responsive
  • Build in features so that you don’t need as many plugins (for ex: social media sharing buttons)
  • Training & support (tutorials, etc)

Personally I use both the themes and the plug-ins provided by Thrive Themes, but you do not have to do this. You can still use all of the thrive plug-ins with other WP themes if you would want to.

Training at Thrive University

Thrive Themes also has what they call Thrive University where they provide training on various aspects of online business. Much of the training they provide uses the Thrive Themes products, but they also provide training on things like creating E courses to build your email list, using the art of persuasion to get people to opt in, launching products successfully, etc.

Most of the training that is provided is free for everyone but some of it is exclusive for paying members. The training is broken down into different lessons and most of it contains video tutorials to make into simple as possible. As an example of some of the training here is a screenshot I took of three different courses they are offering right now… And this is three of many.

Is The Support Any Good?

Okay so what about the support… Is it any good? If you have been the victim of bad support in the past then you know how big of a roadblock this can be. If you have little to no technical experience like I do, then having good support is a must.

Luckily I can say based on my own experience that Thrive Themes provides excellent support to members and to people who pay a one time fee to purchase their various products, which I will go more over in a bit.

They have a support forum that you are able to go into where you can ask any question on any of the different products, or just as a general question. I have used their support service many times over the past couple years and have never had a problem with it. If you are like me you are sure to run into a few problems here and there and having support that you know is able to help you out is comforting.

And what is really nice is that you can actually have the support staff go into your website and fix problems for you if you would like. What you would do in this situation is enter temporary login details in a safe form inside the support area, explain the problem in as much detail as possible, and someone on the support staff will do the fixing.

Of course you do not have to do this but it is nice if you are in a rush or just do not feel like dealing with whatever problem it is.

What Are The Prices Looking Like?

And now onto the prices, which everyone needs to know before even thinking about buying.

The price will vary a lot depending on what you want to buy. What you can do is purchase any of the plug-ins or themes individually or you can purchase a yearly membership which will give you access to everything.

If you purchase different plug-ins or themes individually the prices will vary depending on the product. So let’s take Thrive Architect for example. There are three different purchase options if you want to buy this plug-in individually. These include…

  • For 1 site = $67
  • For 5 sites = $97
  • For 15 sites = $147

And if you want to purchase a Thrive Membership then you will pay what equals out to $19 per month, but you will pay annually which will be $228. This will give you unlimited use of all their plug-ins and themes on up to 25 different websites, which is probably plenty for most people reading this. But then they also have their Agency Membership which equals out to $49 per month and gives you use to all their plug-ins and themes on up to 50 of your own websites and your clients websites.

I personally have the Thrive Membership for $19 per month because I have no need for anything more.

Also, when you are a member you will get unlimited support. When you purchase one of their plug-ins or themes with a one time payment you will only get access to one year of support, which is another big benefit of being a member.

Conclusion on Thrive Themes – Is It Worth The Price?

There is no doubt that Thrive Themes works as intended. The whole purpose of all of their products is to increase conversions and they do a very good job at this. If you are using a free WP theme or something that is very basic without any plug-ins that are focused on optimization then I can pretty much guarantee that you will see a big increase in conversions just by using Thrive Themes products alone. Like I said, I’ve been a member for a couple years now and there has never been a time where I have even thought about canceling my membership.

Not only do all of their products perform great, but they are always coming out with new plug-ins/themes and keeping them updated.

The Thrive Membership is definitely going to give you the most bang for your buck but this gives you access to everything so if you have no interest in using much of the products then it might not be a good choice for you. If you are looking to start out small and just test one thing out then I would go with Thrive Architect, which is sort of their main product and is the drag-and-drop visual editor. Thrive Leads would definitely be my second choice and I have seen some pretty good leaps in conversions using this plug-in.

Here is a great tutorial video that I found where Shane (CEO of Thrive Themes) goes over how to build page with Thrive Architect from scratch. Its around 25 minutes long but you can just take a quick look to see for yourself how it all works…

The Rich Life Letter, Scam or Will It Make You Rich?

The Rich Life LetterThe Rich Life Letter is an investment newsletter edited by Nilus Mattive who has quite a professional background in investing. But is is newsletter any good? Does it really live up to all the hype that is going around online? Or is this newsletter just a bunch of fluff that is going to fail to deliver?

I came across a sales pitch for this newsletter recently and knew that I had to write a review on it. Why? Well because the sales pitch is very misleading and very “scammy” seeming. I also noticed that there are a lot of other people out there wondering if The Rich Life Letter it is a scam or not so I will be addressing that here.

The Rich Life Letter Review

So in a nutshell The Rich Life Letter is an investment newsletter that provides advice on investment opportunities that often fly under the radar of the general public. The purpose of this newsletter is to inform people of “hidden gems” that have the potential to increase drastically in price and that not many people know about.

Like I said, Nilus Mattive is the editor of this newsletter. He is the main guy behind it but there is also a team of analysts that help them put this together. As for Nilus he is someone that has a great deal of experience in this area. Before working for Agora Financial, which is the publisher of this newsletter by the way, he worked at Jono Steinberg’s Individual Investor Group, edited Standard & Poor’s investment newsletter, and wrote the popular book The New Investor. Based on his background and accomplishments you peers to be someone who knows what he is doing and can provide good advice. You don’t just walk in and become an editor for Standard & Poor’s investment newsletter. This is a position that only highly qualified applicants will be able to get.

So anyway… The Rich Life Letter is a newsletter, nothing more and nothing less. However, this newsletter is marketed from many different angles, one of which that I came across was about some new Social Security program that Donald Trump supposedly has underway. This is the part of it all that really angers me a bit. The sales pitch and the way that they lure in new subscribers to the newsletter is absolutely ridiculous and very misleading.

I’m guessing that there is a good chance you came across this ridiculous sales pitch as well, which is why you’re reading my review right now, but if you didn’t then don’t worry because I’m going to be showing how ridiculous the sales pitch really is along with the lies they tell you to sucker you into buying it.

The Teaser… Well This Is Ridiculous

The teaser starts off with talking about “A little-known program that allows you to collect regular income checks from $597-$6,189“. But what the heck is this and why have I never heard of this secret Social Security program?

Well as you will find out reason is because it doesn’t exist, but I will go over all of this soon.

The sales pitch plays to the ears of Trump supporters. Throughout the sales pitch they trash liberal ideas and praise Trump and his new economic plans along with this “little-known program” that can supposedly give you free checks in the mail.

Much of the information that you will see in the promotional material is completely fake and made up. Throughout the ridiculous sales page they talk about all these people that are collecting these checks and at one point they even show a picture of these “Trump Checks” that people are getting… Which are not real at all.

They tell you that most Americans have not even heard of this program yet. And as I mentioned above the reason for this is because it does not exist, which is something that they do not tell you. They keep leading you on and on thinking that there is some special retirement program out there that Trump created when there is not.

You are told that this program is available in all 50 states and that is not limited to certain demographics. It does not matter your age or income level, anyone can join in collect these “Trump Checks”

So what the heck is this program? Well the next thing that you find out is that it is funded by the private sector. So how does this work then? Trump created a retirement program that is funded by private businesses? Sounds a bit strange doesn’t it?

Throughout the rest of the sales pitch you really have to pick and choose what to believe and what not to believe. A large amount of the information you are fed is complete BS.

If you read through this sales page you probably remember seeing pictures of a bunch of people that were supposedly collecting large amounts of money with this “program”. The problem is that these people are all fake and made up just like much of the page. As you can see in the picture below, I ran a reverse Google image search of this guy who is supposedly named “Richard Stevens” and found that this guy is not who they say he is. His image is a stock photo which anyone can buy online and use as they please…

And there is plenty more where that came from. I also ran a reverse Google image search on who they called “Jimmy Rogers” who has supposedly banked close to $65,000. And as you can see below when I ran the image search I found that this same image was used on a webpage titled “The Death Below to “The Big 3″ Cable Companies”. What’s funny about this is that this webpage where the image was used is actually a sales page for Technology Profits Confidential which is another newsletter that is published by Agora Financial.

So they are using the same image in two different sales pitches for two different newsletters. And guess what… This guy has a different name in both of the sales pitches.

So what is this “program” that is supposedly the most lucrative retirement program ever? The sales pitch they throw at you is so misleading and so overly fluffed up that it would be normal to not really know what to believe.

And why do you need to take action so soon? Throughout the sales pitch they kept telling me over and over again that if I wanted to be able to collect these checks from this new retirement program that I would have to take action by May 11. However they offer no explanation as to why this is the case. And based on all of the lies that I have already proven in the sales patch in the fact that Agora Financial is well known for lies like this, it only makes sense that this is just another lie.

It’s likely that May 11 will come and go and they will begin telling readers a new upcoming date that they have to take action by. This is a tactic known as false scarcity and is used to get people to buy in as fast as possible.

What’s Really Going On Here

So what this sales pitch is all about is a free report that comes with a subscription for The Rich Life Letter. All of this talk about this new Social Security program that Trump has created is just a clever marketing technique. If you want to learn more about this and take action then you need to the free report and in order to get the free report you have to sign up for a subscription of The Rich Life Letter.

Oh yeah… And what is this new Social Security program anyhow? Well it’s not a Social Security program at all and it actually does anyone have much to do with Trump. This is all just part of the very misleading and luring sales pitch where they sucker people in.

Much like the “Freedom Checks” sales pitch, there it are no such thing as “Trump Checks”. These checks that they keep talking about people collecting are just dividend payments that come from investments, which this report will provide information on. So as you can see it it’s very misleading and not even close to being what it seems to be.

What You Get With The Rich Life Letter

Monthly Newsletter – The main part is the monthly newsletter. Here you will get detailed information about investment opportunities that Nilus is looking into.

Weekly Emails – Every week you will receive an email that will be updating you on market trends, what’s going on with prior investment suggestions, actionable opportunities, etc.

Alerts – You will also be alerted when there is something that requires immediate action. So maybe a stock you are invested in takes a turn for the worse unexpectedly and you need to sell as soon as possible, you will be alerted of this.

Conclusion – So Is This Thing a Scam or Not?

The Rich Life Letter newsletter itself is not a scam. There is nothing about the newsletter that leads me to believe it is. Nilus knows what he is doing and it seems to be providing good investment advice, or at least decent advice. The price is also not too bad. For a year subscription it costs between $49 and $89, not too shabby.

The major problem with this all, in the reason that so many people were questioning whether or not it is a scam, is the absolutely absurd sales pitch that they throw out there to lure in new subscribers. I don’t get why they have to go and do this… Why can’t they just market this newsletter in a more truthful way?

But anyways… It is what it is and Agora Financial is well known for this type of stuff. The sales pitch is very misleading and absolutely ridiculous but the newsletter itself seems to be okay

Best Inflatable Tandem Kayaks 2018 – The Top 9

If you are looking for a tandem inflatable kayak then you are in the right place. Below I have compiled a list of the best inflatable tandem kayaks of 2018 depending on what exactly you are looking for. There is no single answer for the “best” inflatable kayak out there. This is subjective and depends on many different factors such as how much you are willing to pay, what types of adventures you are looking to take your kayak on, etc. This is why I created this list of the top 9 depending on different factors.

There are some downsides to buying an inflatable kayak but overall I think there are plenty of upsides balance this out.

Generally speaking inflatable kayaks don’t perform quite as well when it comes to tracking. But this all depends on what kayaks you are comparing. There are some expensive inflatables kayaks out there that track much better than cheap hard shell kayaks. But yes… generally they do not track as well because they are not as rigid.

However, think of all the upsides to having an inflatable kayak over a hard shell one… they are super easy to transport and take up practically no space. You can carry them around in a bag and there is no need to buy a rack for your car or hull them around in a trailer. I’m sure you already are well aware of this, which is probably why you are reading this article in the first place, but I just wanted to touch on this because have their place in the world of kayaking and some people never go back to hard shells once they buy one.

But anyways… lets move on to the list. I have it broken down into 3 sections: Best Performing, Under $100, and For Fishing. If you want to jump ahead to any of these sections you can do so here…

Best Performing:

#1) Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame Convertible Inflatable Kayak

Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame Convertible Inflatable Kayak

The Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame Convertible Kayak is one of the best performing inflatable kayaks that you will find. Of course this depends a bit on what type of kayak you are looking for, but overall this kayak is great. As you can see from the picture it has a very sleek and rigid design, making it almost not even look like an inflatable Kayak.

It measures in at 15 feet long and 32 inches wide. With slim dimensions like this and aluminum ribs in the bow/stern, it cuts through the water very well and is one of the fastest inflatable tandem kayaks you will find, probably the fastest.

The weight limit on this model is 550 pounds so it should have no problem supporting two people and still performing great.

One of the “claims to fame” of this model is the fact that it is convertible. What does this mean? Well you can convert it in between a solo kayak and a tandem kayak. It comes with different zip top decks that you can easily zip on in zip off making it how you want. The seats are also movable so that when you convert it to a solo kayak you can position the seat more in the center for better control. To better show you what I’m talking about here you can take a look at the pictures below…

Now you may be worried about the stability with a narrow kayak like this one but this is not something I would worry about too much. Stability does not seem to be an issue.

One thing that is always a concern with inflatables is getting a hole while out on the water far away from land. Luckily this model has a whopping six air chambers. What this means is that if you get a whole only 1/6 of the kayak will deflate. So it doesn’t really matter where you get the hole in this you will still be able to stay afloat and make it back safely. You won’t see this with the cheaper inflatable kayaks.

With Advanced Elements kayak models like this one you shouldn’t have much of a problem with punctures anyhow though. This company does a great job making their kayaks durable with triple layering their material.

Overall there is a lot to this kayak that makes it one of the best. It performs well in calm and semi-rough waters in the fact that it is convertible is great. Tracking is very good and this thing goes through the water with ease. If you are lazy and don’t feel like converting it you also can paddle it from the back seat pretty easily too.

The one downside to this is the seating. A lot of buyers do not care for the seats. They are not very comfortable and they do not offer much support. A fix to this would be to play something behind your seat for added support, which I see a lot of people doing based on the reviews I have read through of this kayak.

#2) Driftsun Voyager Kayak

Driftsun Voyager Inflatable Kayak

The Driftsun Voyager Kayak is a good choice if you are looking for something that performs well in both calm and choppy water. This kayak measures in at 10 feet long and 35 inches wide. It has the capacity to carry up to 400 pounds and what is really crazy is that it only weighs 27 pounds, making it very easy to transport. Not only is it easy to transport around but it also is incredibly easy to inflate. Now I’ve actually never inflated one of these but they say that it can be done in five minutes, once you get good at doing it that is.

There are several reasons that the Driftsun Voyager performs well in more than just calm water. For one, it has a removable skeg. This is nice to attach on when you are in calm waters but when waters get rough you’re going to want to take it off for increased maneuverability. Number two, which you can’t see from the picture above, but this kayak has a V-shaped hull that allows it to cut through the water better and provides better tracking. Now you would think that this would decrease the stability of the kayak, and it probably does to some extent, but overall the stability is still very good with this design. And the third, it is designed with a rocker profile, which you also can’t really see in the picture. This allows for easier maneuverability and is a good design for rougher waters, but of course the downside is that it takes away from the tracking.

It seems as if this kayak was designed to be somewhat of the best of both worlds. Of course the more you design a kayak to perform well in calm waters, the worse it is going to perform in rough waters, and vice versa, but overall this kayak seems to be very well designed in perform good in both. The tracking definitely isn’t going to be as good as the Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame Convertible Kayak that I just went over above but its still seems to track surprisingly well.

As I was reading through reviews from other users of this kayak I noticed that there were quite a bit of people saying how comfortable the seats are. There were literally reviews that talked about how nice they are and nothing else. They look nice but of course you never really know until you test them out and based on what I have read through it seems that they should perform as well as they look.

One complaint that I noticed more than once has to do with the detachable skeg fin. Apparently it doesn’t stay in place all that great. This is something that is common among detachable skegs though.

Overall I would say this is a great choice if you are going to be using your yak in calm/rough waters. It offers a good balance of design and performs well. It is somewhat on the higher side when it comes to price but many buyers swear by it and believe it is worth every cent.

#3) Advanced Elements Lagoon 2 Inflatable Kayak

Advanced Elements Lagoon 2 Inflatable Kayak

The Advanced Elements Lagoon 2 kayak I would say is somewhat of a step down from the Advanced Elements kayak that I listed as number one, but I guess this just depends on how you look at things. It still performs great as long as you use it as intended.

Just by looking at this Lagoon 2 model you can see that it is a good bit different. Some noticeable differences are that it is much shorter, measuring in at 12 feet, and that is not convertible. It does not have the zip tops that you’re able to remove. What you see is what you get.

As you can imagine with it being smaller, it is also much later at only 37 pounds. And as you also can imagine the capacity is much less. It is listed as having a capacity of 350 pounds and based on reviews I have read from users who have tested this, you want to stay clear of this limit. This kayak sits fairly low in the water and if you get close to this upper limit you will likely have problems with too much water splashing in.

When it comes to tracking it performs well, but it’s not going to give you quite as good tracking as the AdvancedFrame Convertible model. What’s nice is that it does come with a skeg and it also has a rigid bow in stern to improve the tracking. If you take this kayak out in calm waters, which is intended for, then it is going to perform well and tracking will be good. However this thing just isn’t made for rapids and rough waters and would not be a good choice for such.

What about stability? The Lagoon 2 has a nice design for keeping things stable. It is 34 inches wide and as I said sits down in the water a fair amount. There aren’t really any reviews from people that I could find complaining about the stability that this kayak offers.

In my opinion this is one of the best tandem choices out there if you are looking to go on nice peaceful adventures in calm waters. The only big downside that I see with the Advanced Elements kayak such as the Lagoon 2 here or that the seats do not offer much support. If you are on the taller side then you’re going to have more problems with this than if you are shorter. It’s something that I hope to see fixed but the good thing is that you can stuff something behind your seat to deal with this. And I guess another downside you could say is that there isn’t much space for storage at all. There is some bungee deck lacing for added storage but it’s really not much.

#4) Sea Eagle SE 370

Sea Eagle SE370

The Sea Eagle SE 370 may not look like much, and it is a step down from those listed above when it comes to price, but it still is a pretty darn good Kayak or a tandem inflatable. I know I know… This thing kind of looks like a blowup air mattress, but this is something you’re just going to have to ignore because the way it performs is worth its price tag.

Measuring in at 12’6″ long and 34 inches wide, the Sea Eagle SE 370 is a decent size kayak. You can also tell by the look that it holds quite a bit of air, which, as you can guess, correlates to it being able to hold quite a bit of weight. It’s capacity is listed at 650 pounds and up to three people.

There are five different air compartments which means five different valves to fill up with their. They list them as “deluxe” one-way valves and based on reviews I have read they are just that. The company does a good job on making this very easy to inflate. If you have experience using inflatable kayaks then you probably know what I’m talking about because it can be frustrating at times when going through the inflation process.

Tracking is always a concern when it comes to inflatables and luckily with this Sea Eagle there are two skegs on the bottom for improved tracking and speed. This is great if you’re going to be using this on calm waters, but the downside is they are not removable so if you’re looking to take this out and rapids they might work to your disadvantage. On the bottom side of the kayak you can also see that inflatable hull of the kayak on the bottom has grooves that run front and back due to the i-beam structure, which also help with tracking.

What nice accessory that I think is worth mentioning about this particular kayak is that it has bow and stern grab lines. This is something you don’t see too often and it’s a nice little touch in case you get thrown overboard or end up flipping, which hopefully you won’t because the stability that this Sea Eagle brings to the table is very good… No complaints about this that I can find.

And of course one thing that everyone always wants to know is how comfortable the kayak is. If you’re going to be out on long adventures then comfort is a must. Luckily they have done a pretty good job with the design here. The seats are sturdy and very “cushiony” so hopefully you won’t get a sore back if you decide on this one.

One thing that many people don’t really like about this particular kayak is its color. Shortly what color looks nice when it’s clean but the problem is that it gets dirty so darn easily. This is definitely a downside to it but the good thing is that it is simple to wipe it clean.

Something else you might notice is that there is no added storage in this kayak. There is plenty of room inside the seating areas to store items but it would be nice to see some bungee storage or something like this.

Overall the Sea Eagle SE 370 is a pretty nice buy. Tracking and speed aren’t going to be as good as the Advanced Elements’ kayaks listed above, and it might not look quite as nice, but for a more moderate price I would say it’s a nice buy.

#5) Airhead MONTANA Kayak

AIRHEAD Montana Kayak

The Airhead MONTANA Kayak is designed for calm and moderate white water, but based on what I see most people seem to be using this inflatable kayak for waters on the rougher side. Just based on the looks you can see that it appears to be more of a white water type of kayak with its bright orange color and all.

The capacity is listed at 500 pounds in the overall length of this kayak is 12 feet. As far as tracking goes it does pretty well. The floor of this kayak has an I-beam structure which helps give a better tracking and in addition to this it also has four small skegs on the bottom to help increase the tracking a bit more.

You will be happy to hear that the seats offer good support. They are removable and seem to deliver in the area of back support.

Some features that aren’t essential but give this kayak a nice touch are the neoprene elbow pads, feet braces, and bungee cords for storage. The elbow pads can provide you some comfort if you are bouncing around out there in the rapids and the feet braces are definitely something that you would rather have in a kayak than not have so that you can keep yourself securely in place. Now if you look at the bungee cords you will see that they are not on a deck… Because there is no deck. Now of course there is a downside to that but on the upside you can store a heck of a lot in both the front and back of the kayak with these bungee cords storage areas.

On the bow and stern of the kayak you can see black material that looks like leather anyway. This is the “skid plate” and is a reinforcement covering over much of the bottom of the kayak. The reason I mention this is because there are a lot of users of this particular kayak that are very impressed with the durability. I’ve read all kinds of reviews about people taking this on white water and hitting rocks without damage. So as long as you take care of this kayak and use it as intended you shouldn’t have a problem with it being punctured easily.

Now if it does get punctured the downside is that it only has three chambers, meaning that one third of the kayak will deflate if you get a hole, but hopefully this will not be a problem and based on my research and what I see is shouldn’t be.

This kayak is a good choice for those looking to experience the rougher waters. It’ll still perform well on calm water but something like the Lagoon 2 would be a better choice for just that. The Airhead MONTANA it is durable offers good tracking while still giving you good maneuverability when you need it most in rough waters, and isn’t too expensive. It’s not what I would call “cheap” but it is more moderately priced than some of those listed above.

For Less Than $100…

Believe it or not you can get some decent inflatable tandem kayaks for less than $100. Of course there are going to be some sacrifices you will have to make. They will not perform as well, they won’t be quite as durable and will not last as long… But in my opinion some of these cheaper inflatable kayaks or a bargain for their price.

Below I have listed what I consider to be two of the best inflatable tandem kayaks that you can buy for under $100. If you are a kayaking newbie and looking for an entry-level yak or you are just on a budget and really don’t want to spend much, then these two kayaks are great choices that you should consider.

#6) Intex Explorer K2

Intex Explorer K2

The Intex Explorer K2 inflatable kayak comes at a price that you can’t really beat.

It is a 10’3″ long kayak with a width of 36 inches. So it’s fairly short and wide but this just means better stability. The capacity is listed at 400 pounds and I probably wouldn’t push this if I were you. It’s also nice that it has a bright yellow color in case of emergency, since most users of this kayak are going to be novices.

While you could use this kayak and rougher waters, which you could with any kayak, it’s more for calm water. Tracking isn’t so great and it doesn’t cut through the water with ease like some of the more expensive kayaks out there but it does a decent job. It actually comes with a removable skeg but you are going to want to be careful with this because I have read some reviews from people saying that they lost theirs when they went into rougher water… So only use it when you are in calm water.

One thing that helps increase the tracking performance of this particular kayak is the floor design which features inflatable I-beams, also helping with the rigidity of the kayak.

If you take a look at the front and back of the kayak you will see that they curve upward. This is a nice feature that makes it better for rougher waters such as going through rapids. It helps the kayak ride on top of the rapids and also will decrease splashing a lot.

Something that you don’t see very often with inflatable kayaks are grab lines. Luckily this kayak does have grab lines in both the front and back so that if you fall out or capsize, you can easily grab on to stay safe.

The seats aren’t the most comfortable, they could offer more hire back support, but something that is nice about them is that they are removable. They attach to the bottom via Velcro strips.

Some of the downsides to this kayak include tracking not being all that great, the removable skeg not staying in place all that well, seat support lacking a bit, and durability being a bit questionable. They list the material as “super tough” vinyl, but this is debatable. As you can imagine with this kayak being less than $100, the material it is made out of is not as durable as those more expensive models listed above. Another downside is that it only has two air chambers. This makes for easy inflation/deflation but really sucks if you get a hole in your kayak.

Yes there are definitely complaints about this kayak but one thing that you may find somewhat surprising is that this gets some of the best reviews out there of any inflatable tandem kayak. Why is this? Well because of the price. It is well worth the price and is a great entry-level product. If you are a serious kayaker that is used to the best then you’re going to be disappointed but for those that are just getting started in looking for something very affordable to buy than it is a good choice.

They list it as being intended for calm waters but it also has features that would allow it to handle rapids and rougher waters to some degree.

#7) Intex Challenger K2

Intex Challenger K2 Kayak

Another good inflatable kayak that seats 2 people and is less than $100 is the Intex Challenger K2… yes another Intex model like the one above.

The Intex Challenger K2 obviously looks a lot different from the Explorer K2. It has a longer more pointed bow and is a somewhat bright green color. It may appear to be shorter than the challenger and the seats may look like they are more crammed but this is not the case. The overall length of this kayak is 11’6″, which is over a foot longer than the Explorer K2. Not only is it longer but it is also 6 inches more narrow with a width of just 30″.

With a long and narrow design like this you may expect it to have very poor stability but surprisingly it doesn’t seem to. No one is really complaining about this. I have read reviews from people claiming that this model does sit lower in the water though, although it has the same 400 pound weight limit.

Much of this kayak is pretty much the same as that mentioned above. It has the same i-beam inflated floor for more rigidity and better tracking, it has a removable skeg (which you have to be careful with because it doesn’t stay on that well), it has grab lines on the bow + stern, it is made from “super tough” vinyl which is questionable, and it only has 2 air chambers so if it ends up getting punctured then its a problem. I’ve also seen some reviews complaining that the seats don’t offer enough support just as I saw with the other Intex… but then again, this is something you see for pretty much every inflatable kayak.

One nice thing about model is that it has a large cargo net in the front. This makes for a nice storage area.

As far as tracking  and speed goes, this Intex Challenger K2 model will be better because of its length, width, and pointed shape. So if you are looking for something to take out on the calmest of waters and are looking for something entry-level, then this would be a good choice. If you are looking to venture out into rougher waters but still want something entry-level and cheap then the Explorer listed above is going to be the better choice.

Both are good choices for tandem inflatable kayaks under $100 though. It just depends on what you are looking for.

For Fishing…

In last on the list are two tandem inflatable kayaks that are great if you are looking to do some fishing with a partner. While you could use any tandem kayak to do this, ones that are specifically designed for fishing will make it much easier. However, the downside to this is that some of the kayak’s performance capabilities are sacrificed for the sake of making it better for fishing. So you might not want to buy a fishing kayak if you are planning on in the doing a small amount of fishing and using it more for kayaking alone.

#8) Elkton Outdoors 10′ Foot Fishing Kayak

Elkton Outdoors 10 Fishing Kayak

The Elkton Outdoors 10′ Foot Inflatable Fishing Kayak is one of the best choices that I have been able to find. As you can see right off the bat there are plenty of fishing accessories to make your life a little bit easier while out on the water.

This kayak has two vertical rod holders along with four trolling rod holders… Plenty of rod holders to go around. You can also see that it has paddle holders on the outside of the kayak so that you can have both hands catering to your fishing activity rather than worrying about the paddle getting lost at sea. And something that isn’t a big deal but is something nice is that there are six mesh pockets throughout the inside of the kayak that you can place different fishing gear in for easy access.

One thing that is a must when it comes to fishing kayaks that are inflatable is that they must be durable. The last thing that you want to happen is to be out there fishing and to snag your hook on the kayak you are floating on and puncturing it. Luckily Elkton Outdoors takes this into consideration and it is made with 18-Gauge rip resistant 1000D PVC, a thick tarpaulin and a tough nylon, which you should do the trick at making it hopes resistant and of course also protect it from getting punctured on other sharp objects such as rocks, sticks, etc.

The performance of this kayak is decent. It has good stability but tracking is not one of its strong suits. It does come with an attachable skeg but apparently this doesn’t help all that much and, like most attachable skegs, it doesn’t stay in place well.

As you can see in the picture, there is a nice upward curvature of the bow and stern. Like some of the other kayaks discussed above, this allows for better performance in rougher waters and it helps keep water from splashing into the kayak, which is good because this kayak does not have covers in the front or back. The fact that it is just 10 feet in length with a design like this makes it fairly easy to maneuver around.

One of the big downsides to getting this kayak is also one of the big upsides. What am I talking about? Well it is the rod holders. The problem with the rod holders is that they stick up and limit paddling movement. This is going to be particularly a problem for the person sitting in the front seat. Range of motion when paddling will not be that great and it might be a bit frustrating.

#9) Sevylor Coleman Colorado Fishing Kayak

Sevylor Coleman Colorado Fishing Kayak

The Sevylor Coleman Colorado Fishing Kayak is another good choice if you’re looking to go out fishing. As you can see it has many of the same features as that mentioned above and has a similar shape, however it is a little bit bigger, measuring in at 10’9″ long and 39 inches wide, and is a bit different.

Okay, so first let me go over some of what is the same as the Elkton fishing kayak above. They both have fishing rod holders, they both have paddle holders, they both have mesh storage pockets, they both are made of rip/tear resistant 1000D tarpaulin with a nylon cover, they both have an upward curved design at the front and back of the kayak, and more.

But there are several things that make these two kayaks different. First off you may have noticed that the Sevylor Coleman Colorado Fishing Kayak features Berkley® quick-set rod holders along with normal ones. These are more expensive and are made to be easier to use. Some people like them and some people don’t care for them much but they are a little added bonus that comes with this one. And something that you cannot see in the picture is that this Sevylor kayak here has trolling motor fittings if you want to throw motor on it to make it a little easier on yourself. However I will tell you that it is a small motor with little power and the battery won’t last long.

Tracking also seems to be slightly better with this Sevylor kayak than the Elkton above, which could just be due to the fact that it is longer. And when it comes to the fishing rod holders being in the way, this kayak also seems to be a little bit better designed. They still get in the way and will impede your paddling ability to some extent, but it does not seem to be quite as bad.

And not that it matters but I kind of like the army green look that this kayak has. Overall however there really isn’t all that much of a difference. Fishing kayaks are fishing kayaks… They usually do not perform quite as well when it comes to the kayaking part of it.

Which Kayak Would I Buy?

Best Performance = Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame Convertible Kayak

The Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame Convertible Kayak is just an all-around beast. If you get in this thing you might even forget you are in an inflatable kayak. It offers great tracking and cuts through the water very easily, partly due to its rigid frame with the aluminum ribs in the bow/stern. And of course the fact that it is convertible between a solo and tandem kayak is great among many other things. Overall it performs amazingly.

Under $100 = Intex Explorer K2

The Intex Explorer K2 is a heck of a deal for the price in my opinion. Sure it doesn’t perform as well as the more expensive ones but it still is pretty decent and can be a lot of fun. The reason I would go with the Explorer over the Challenger is mainly because it is more versatile. The Explorer is better if you’re looking to go in calm and rougher waters whereas the challenger will not fare too well in rapids.

For Fishing = Sevylor Coleman Colorado Fishing Kayak

As I said, there really isn’t all too much of a difference between the two fishing kayaks that I listed, however, there are a few small things that I like more about the Sevylor Coleman Colorado Fishing Kayak. It looks better (my opinion), the fishing rod holders aren’t in the way quite as much, and it seems to track better.

Tips For Keeping Your Inflatable Kayak Nice

Wash With Fresh Water After Use

This is going to be more of a big deal if you are kayaking and saltwater. You want to make sure to keep your kayak clean when you are finished with it. Washing off all dirt, salt, and debris will help it last longer and luckily these kayaks tend to wipe off pretty easily.

Keep Out Of Sun When Storing

Of course some of the stuff you probably already now, just make sure to keep it out of the sun when you’re storing. The sun can be damaging and when you don’t need it to be on the sun then don’t leave it out in the sun.

Do NOT Over-Inflate

This is something that a lot of people do wrong and end up destroying the kayaks. You do not want to inflate your kayak so much so that it is as hard as a rock. If you do this you will only end up damaging the inner tubes and deforming the kayak or, at its worst, blowing out a hole.

Whichever kayak you buy will come with instructions on how much air pressure you should be filling it with. Make sure you follow these!

Easy Money Scams

Trevor Harris Scam – Beware

Trevor Harris ScamTrevor Harris is the serial scammer that has been involved in a number of “worksheet processing” scams that claim to be able to make you big bucks by processing unclaimed money worksheets. What he doesn’t tell you is that you will not make anything from these job opportunities and that the only outcome is you will end up with less money than when you started.

How Trevor’s Scams Work

Since you are reading this post I’m guessing that you came across and advertisement that looks something like this…

My Cashflow Secret

This is one of the most recent advertisements I have found for Trevor’s scams. It says that companies need help processing simple worksheets online and that you can make good money working part-time or full-time doing such.

If you enter your information to get more details you will be led to some sort of member’s training area that will go over the process of filling out these worksheets and making money doing so. One of Trevor’s most recent scams, My Cash Flow Secret, brings you to the members training area pictured below…

*Trevor Harris is also connected to the scams Legit Flex Jobs and NorthAmeriCorp.

My Cashflow Secret Scam

The scams will lead you to believe that you are going to be helping people reconnect with their unclaimed money. You will basically be using different public databases to find unclaimed money, filling out worksheets that requires you to enter information from these databases, and to sending these worksheets into a company that will help recover these funds.

What Trevor Harris’ scams tell you is that you will get a percentage of the money recovered. For example: the company that is recovering the funds will get 30% and over that 30% you will get a 75% cut. This means if you were to fill out a worksheet for $20,000 of unclaimed money you would get $4500. And of course Trevor leads you to believe that most of the accounts you will be recovering will be pretty big so you will be able to earn lots of money very easily.

How You Get Scammed

What Trevor tells you is that you have to send in a five dollar bill with every worksheet. This five dollars covers the cost of the company processing the worksheet and the cost of them sending you a check in the mail back to you when you get your cut of the money you helped claim.

However, you will never see any of that money again. You will just be out the five dollars, $10, $15, $20, $25, $30, $35, $40, or however much you sent in and you will never get anything back.

Unclaimed Money Is Real But This Scam Is Not

Believe it or not some of this “unclaimed money” stuff is actually real. There is a lot of unclaimed money out there and there are services that help people claim their rightful money. Unclaimed money can be in many different forms: checking accounts, savings accounts, stocks, refunds, safety deposit box contents, etc.

The unclaimed money thing does actually exist it’s just that Trevor Harris’scam program is completely fake. The most recent scam that Trevor is promoting, called My Cash Flow Secret, will have you send your worksheets into a company called Federal Account Recovery. This is the company that supposedly processes your worksheets and helps reconnect these unclaimed funds with their rightful owners.

If you go to Federal Account Recovery’s website and go to the contact page you will be able to see the address. They have two addresses, one of which is listed as…

Federal Account Recovery

6666 Odana Rd

Suite 283

Madison, Wisconsin 53719

If you look up this address or the other one on Google you will find that it is associated with a business called Akkers Global, which you can find on the Better Business Bureau’s website.

Akkers Global – The Fake Business

You will find that the BBB has been alert for the public stating that the addresses associated with this business or for UPS stores. This is a major red flag and a telltale sign of a scam. If Federal Account Recovery is the real deal then why would they not have their own address? Why would the have you send in these worksheets to a UPS store? It just seems rather odd and makes no sense.

If you read some of the reviews on this company, which are all negative by the way, you will find other people that have been victims of this unclaimed money worksheet processing scam. I took a screenshot below that you can take a look at for yourself if you wish…

Akkers Global scam

Conclusion on Everything

Trevor Harris is a scammer, no doubt. But who knows… Maybe this guy doesn’t even exist. Maybe the guy you here talking in the training videos is really someone else and “Trevor Harris” is just some made up name that he is using to promote his scams. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the case. Actually I would probably bet on it being the case. I review scams all the time and usually the people behind them make fake names or just that even say their name because they know that they are going to be making a lot of people mad and did not want to face the consequences.

But anyways… Whether Trevor Harris is real or not doesn’t really matter. The point of this post is to let people know that the use worksheet processing jobs that are presented by “Trevor Harris” are scams and you will not make money with them. The only thing that will happen is you will lose money.

As a rule of thumb, if a job opportunity sounds too good to be true and it probably is. Does earning thousands of dollars by filling out simple unclaimed money worksheets sound too good to be true? Yes it does and it is not true… It’s a scam.

Hopefully you’re reading this before falling victim to this scam. If you are a victim and have lost money to it than I am not really sure what to tell you. I don’t know if it is possible to get your money back or if it is worth the effort. If you don’t end up getting your money back at least you learned something from it. Mistakes are made but you live and you learn.

Is Reward Bee a scam
Paid Survey Sites

Is Reward Bee a Scam? – I’m Disappointed

Is Reward Bee a scam

Reward Bee is a paid survey site that supposedly provides you with the opportunity to make $30 in reward points today… Or at least that is what it tells you. But doesn’t this sound too good to be true when it comes to survey sites? After all with the typical paid survey site you are not going to make even close to $30 per day. Is Reward Bee a scam somehow that you should avoid?

In this review I will be showing you inside the site, going over how it works and giving my opinion of whether or not it is a scam. If things aren’t as good as they seem so if you are thinking about joining I would probably take a few minutes to read this over before doing so.

Reward Bee Review

What Reward Bee tells you is that you can “earn $30 or more in reward points you can spend today”… But what do they mean by this? Do they mean you’ll be able to sign up today, take a survey or surveys and earn $30 worth of rewards? Because that’s what it sounds like they are saying but this seems like a crazy high amount of rewards to be giving out.

What they also tell you is that there are no qualifying questions. Now if you are familiar with paid survey sites then this is a pretty big deal. Qualifying questions are questions that are asked at the beginning of a survey that determine whether or not you fit the demographic of survey takers they are looking for. So what often happens is you will start taking a survey, waste five minutes or so of time, and then get disqualified which can be very frustrating and really annoying. But with this site there should be none of this problem.

A Look Inside The Site – Is What They Tell You True?

Signing up for the site is really easy and takes about five seconds. All you do is enter your name, email and create a password. Once you are inside you will see a dashboard that looks like the screenshot I took below. It will show your balance, list surveys that you can take, all of which supposedly pay $30 in reward points… And that’s pretty much it. All you have to do is click on the “TAKE THIS SURVEY” link beside any of the surveys you want to take and it will take you to the survey page. As an example I clicked on the music survey which was the first on the list for me.

And know they were not lying when they said there are no qualification questions. You will be taken directly to the survey and what is nice about them is that they are very short and can be done in about one minute of time. As you can see from the screenshot below it is also nice that they are laid out with all of the questions on a single page. This means that you do not have to click next after each question which takes a lot more time to do. Here you just answer all the questions on one page and that is it. This is different from most paid survey sites like Pinecone Research, VIP Voice, etc.

I clicked on a few other surveys just to see if they were the same deal and they were. They all are laid out the same and are about the same length.

The Big Downside to RewardBee

Okay… So there has got to be a catch somewhere right? I mean you just can’t take a short surveys like this that it may take one minute to complete and be rewarded with $30 worth of points… Can you?

The answer is no you cannot. The disappointing side to the site is that the rewards stink, or at least I think they do. At the end of each survey there will be a rewards section where you can redeem your points for. You will be able to select up to $30 in rewards points. And as you can see pretty much every reward is for some sort of magazine…

There are a few cashback offers or coupons available that you can redeem your points for, which are nice, but overall I am very disappointed in the rewards available. I guess if the rewards were any good it would be too good to be true though.

So You Really Can Get Magazines This Easily?

I guess if you like magazines then this might be a good survey site for you.

However I’m still a bit suspicious of what is going on here. How can they possibly give you all these magazines for taking these little short surveys that only take one minute to complete and don’t require you to provide much information at all? Survey sites conduct market research and with short little crappy surveys like this there is not much research you can possibly conduct. So how is a business model like this possibly sustainable?

I just can’t imagine all of these different magazine companies sending out 10+ copies of magazines for little to no helpful information. Why would they do this? Seems a bit odd and like it might possibly be some sort of scam right?

It seems a bit fishy to me, but anyway I signed up some magazines and I guess I will see for myself if this is a legitimate paid survey site or not.

Conclusion on Reward Bee – Should You Join?

Overall I’m pretty disappointed with RewardBee. There is not much going on with the site at all and for most people it is just going to be a waste of time. There were a few good coupon offers and cashback offers that I saw on the site but even with those only a small amount of people were going to actually be interested. They don’t offer any rewards that everyone will be interested in, such as Amazon gift cards, cash via PayPal, checks in the mail, etc.

I am personally more of a fan of paid survey sites like Swagbucks, but in general I’m not really much of a fan of paid survey sites at all. Why? Well because they reward you very little for your time. With the way things are nowadays, with the Internet and all, it is very easy for the sites to collect people’s opinions and because of this the have no need to pay much money or give out much in rewards. So in general paid survey sites just are not that great and offered no ability to make any sort of substantial money with.
