Is Isagenix a Pyramid Scheme? My Take On It

isagenixIsagenix offers what can potentially be a very lucrative business opportunity. But is this too good to be true?… Is Isagenix a pyramid scheme type scam that is going to be a waste of your time? Or is this place finally the work from home opportunity that you have been waiting on?

I know there is a lot of controversy surrounding this business particularly due to the recruitment aspect of it. The question of it possibly being a pyramid scheme or not is a logical one to ask. And this is exactly what I want to address here in this post. I’ll be going over how this business opportunity works, how it could possibly be a pyramid scheme, and more.

Isagenix Overview

Isagenix is a mlm company that sells health products dealing with sports nutrition, weight loss, healthy aging, and energy. Their products are good quality from what I see and hear. That is good but this is not what I am interested in here. I am interested in the business opportunity.

Isagenix does all of its marketing and sales by direct sales. Anyone can join this business as an independent distributor and make money selling their products directly. The pyramid scheme side of it all is how distributors can also make money by recruiting other distributors into the business.

How This Place Could Be a Pyramid Scheme

Just because distributors can make money by recruiting others into the business does not mean this is a pyramid scheme necessarily. It depends on how much the company relies on recruitment for revenue.

For this to be a legitimate mlm and not a pyramid scheme Isagenix must put adequate focus on product sales to the general public for revenue and not be overly focused on recruitment.

One good way to tell this is by looking at the compensation plan.

The Comp Plan

One of the best ways to see if a business focuses too much on recruitment is to look at the comp plan. Here you can see where they put their focus and what they push their distributors to do.

As a direct seller, you will be able to purchase Isagenix products at low costs and then sell them at markups, keeping the difference. You will also be able to get people to buy products through your Isagenix website and earn money that way. This is what you call direct sales.

You can also earn money from recruiting others into the business, which is where the term “pyramid scheme” comes into play.

There are 5 ranks within the compensation plan…

  • ASSOCIATE
  • CONSULTANT
  • MANAGER
  • DIRECTOR
  • EXECUTIVE

In order to move up the ranks to consultant you can do so just by selling products on your own. But once you want to move up again to Manager, you will have to recruit 2 new associates into the business. Then after that the number of people you have to recruit becomes more and more.

They use a binary structure, so when you recruit people in they will go to a right and left side, as shown here…

Pyramid Scheme? Why I Say “No”

Honestly I have reviewed dozens and dozens of mlm’s over the years, some legitimate and others not so much. Isagenix is definitely ranked on the more legitimate side of things. While they do place some focus on recruitment and it is necessary to move up to the top rank, they don’t push you to recruit an insane amount.

For example: to move up to the highest rank of Executive you only need to recruit 10 other people into the business. This isn’t a very difficult number to achieve by any means.

Also, you do need to continually sell products on your own to remain active. You must keep a 100 PV (personal volume) of sales to stay active at any rank.

Also, according to Isagenix, in 2015 only about 5.2% of all their members were participating in the business opportunity. That means that 94.8% of people were strictly customers buying from them. I know this is an old statistic but the business hasn’t changed much.

Conclusion – Good Business Opportunity or Not?

The more focused a mlm is on recruitment and the more they favor it, the harder it is for the average person to make money. The more it is like a pyramid scheme, the harder it is. This is because there is more incentive to recruit and those at the top are making more money from those at the bottom.

With most mlm’s only a very small percentage of people make good money. These are the people at the top that are earning commissions from a massive downline beneath them.

Although I would consider Isagenix to be less “pyramid scheme-like” than most…. the facts don’t lie. I was able to find an income disclosure from 2015 (old I know) that shows how little most people make in this business…

As you can see 85% made less well less than $2,000 per year on average. I have seen worse from other mlm’s (Organo Gold & Immunotec for example) but this still isn’t good.

While I don’t consider Isagenix a pyramid scheme I don’t particularly care for mlm’s too much just because most people fail with them. They have a lot of potential for people to make money, but most people just won’t… that is the reality of it.

Is Zija a Scam? A Look At The Business Opportunity

Zija Zija offers what can potentially be a very lucrative home-based business opportunity. But is this opportunity too good to be true? Is Zija a scam like the many other work from home scams out there? Or is this possibly what you have been looking and waiting for.

If you are reading this then there is a good chance that someone talked to you about joining Zija and made some bold claims about all the money you can make. I get questions about companies like this all the time an I make it my duty to bring forth the truth. In this short review I’ll be going over a little about this place, how you make money, the harsh reality, and more.

Zija Overview

Zija is a mlm company in the health and wellness industry. They sell products of all kinds ranging from the personal care and fitness products, to essential oils and more. I have not personally tried any of their products but from what I see and the reviews I’ve read they seem to be of good quality.

But this post is not going to be focused on the products. I want to focus on the business opportunity here.

Zija goes by a direct sales business model. They have independent distributors that do all the marketing and selling. These distributors could be you and I, or anyone that wants to join. As a distributor you can make money by both selling products and by recruiting other people to join the business.

Cost of Joining

In order to become a distributor you will need to pay a yearly fee of $20, which isn’t much of anything. Additionally you will have to buy products at wholesale prices which you will be selling.

They have what you call starter packs available, which are basically a bunch of products bundled together to give you a good start with this business. They can cost in the hundreds of dollars range.

The Compensation Plan

As a distributor you can make money in 2 main ways: By selling Zija products yourself or by recruiting other distributors into the business and earning commissions from their sales.

Direct Sales

You can make direct sales by selling products directly to customers, or by referring people to the Zija website directly. When you sell the products person-to-person, you will be making the difference between wholesale cost and the amount you sell the products at. When you refer a buyer to the Zija website you will make the difference between wholesale cost and the retail price.

Recruitment

Recruitment is always a big part of mlm’s like this. They consist of multiple levels, hence the term multi-level marketing, in which you can earn money from the levels beneath you.

Team Commissions

You can earn team commissions form a binary compensation structure. This structure has 2 sides, a right and left. Below each person there are 2 open positions that need to be filled. You are paid commissions based on the amount of product sales that are made on the smaller side of the structure.

Below is an example of what a binary structure looks like. Its a pyramid like structure where the money made from those beneath you slowly trickles up to you.

You can learn more about the compensation plan here.

The Harsh Reality Of This

While there is a lot of potential to make good money with Zija, most people unfortunately will never make it to that point. With a mlm structure like this those at the top feed off of those beneath them. This makes it very difficult for those at the bottom to make good money. In order to make good money you need to recruit, recruit, recruit… climb the ranks and earn from those beneath you.

The fact of the matter is that there will always be many more people near the bottom than at the top, which means most people will not make good money. This is common with just about any mlm out there. I just reviewed 2 similar mlm’s, Immunotec & IDLife, the other day and it is the same story.

I was not able to find an official income disclosure that shows this but I have reviewed enough mlm’s to know that with a compensation plan like this that favors recruitment so much, there aren’t going to be many people that are successful.

Conclusion on Zija – Scam?

Zija is not a scam. They sell good products and offer a legitimate business opportunity. The only way someone could possibly call this place a scam is from how people are often lured into the business with dreams of making a lot of money only to find out that it is extremely difficult and not what they expected.

If you think you have what it takes to recruit people in left and right, and you like the products that Zija has then go for it. But just know that the reality here is that this is not an easy business to succeed in… but then again everything requires hard work to be successful.

Is Immunotec a Scam? What I Think About This Business Opportunity

ImmunotecIf you are have been contacted to join Immunotec by someone in the business or are looking into this business opportunity on your own free will, you may be a little suspicious of how it all works. The question: is Immunotec a scam is a logical question to ask yourself. Is it? Or is this a legit business opportunity that might be exactly what you are looking for?

In this short post I’ll be answering exactly this. I’ll be going over what you need to know about this business before you join (or not), much of which you won’t be told by anyone in the business.

Immunotec Overview

Immunotec is a mlm company that sells health products, weight management supplements, skin care products, and more. From what I have seen and heard about the products there really isn’t many bad things you can say about them. They seem to be good quality and all. But the products aren’t what this post is about. Here I want to talk about the business opportunity that this place offers.

Immunotec is a direct sales business. What this means is that they have independent distributors that do all the marketing and selling. These distributors can be anyone… you, me, my cousin… anyone that wants to join. They can make money by selling products directly or by recruiting others into the business because of its mlm compensation structure.

Cost of Joining

If you want to become a consultant (this is what they call their independent distributors) then you will have to pay an administration fee of $24.95. On top of that the starter packs that they offer are in the $200-$600 price range. These starter packs are recommended because they give you a bundle of discounted products that are for you to give your business a boost to start out.

The Compensation Plan

Making money here revolves around 2 things: selling products directly and recruiting others into the business.

Direct Sales

As a consultant you can buy Immunotec products at wholesale prices and then sell them at markups, keeping the difference. This will give you about 30% profit. Additionally you can also sell products through your Immunotec website and earn money without ever having to handle the products.

This is a necessary part of the business and it is required that you sell products in order to remain an active consultant.

Recruitment

Recruitment is key when it comes to mlm’s like this. If you really want to earn good money you need to recruit in other consultants, build up your downline and earn money from the effort of those beneath you.

Unlocking the full compensation plan and earning the most from the people beneath you is all about moving up the ranks. There are 7 ranks within Immunotec and in order to move up them recruitment is the name of the game. While the amount of products you personally have to sell does increase slightly as you move up, the amount that your “team” (aka the people beneath you) have to sell increase drastically, meaning that you need to recruit, recruit, recruit.

There are several ways you can earn money from your downline and I’ll give you an example of one. The chart below shows how you can earn what is called the Generational Bonus. Basically this is a bonus that you earn from the sales of people’s teams in your downline. You can earn it up to 8 generations deep if you advance to the highest rank.

The Reality Of This Business

I’m not trying to bash Immunotec or put them down in any way, but this needs to be known. The fact of the matter here is that with this mlm business, or just about any of them, very few people actually make good money. The very structure of the compensation plan favors recruitment so much that this is how it will always be.

You need to have big downlines to make good money and unfortunately there are always going to be much more people at the bottom struggling than there is at the top. The top few make the majority of the money here.

I was able to find the official Immunotec income disclosure for 2016 and it proves my point here. If you look below at the chart you can see that VERY few people even make enough to live off of as consultants…

Mlm’s are all the same when it comes to this. I just reviewed IDLife and Nucerity recently, which are 2 similar mlm’s, and they are the sames story… very little make good money.

Conclusion on Immunotec – Scam?

I would not call Immunotec a scam. They are a legit company, they sell legit products, and they have a legit business opportunity. There are people that make very good money here but those are few.

What brings most people to join this business is the hope of making a lot of money. There is so much potential here but statistically speaking, very few will be able to unlock the full potential of the comp plan.

My last piece of advice is to join if you want to. If you like the products and think you have what it takes to make it in the mlm world then go for it. Just know it is going to be a battle to be successful.

ID LIFE

Is IDlife a Scam? A Look At This Business Opportunity

ID LIFE Wondering is IDlife a scam? I know there is a bit of controversy surrounding this business and I have been getting some questions regarding its legitimacy so I want to clear a few things up here. I’m guessing you were probably asked to join this business from someone already in it but you are hesitant to join. Or maybe you are looking into this for a friend or family member.

Am I write? Well anyway, it doesn’t really matter the reason. In this short review I’ll be talking about what this places is, how you make money, the reality of this business, and ultimately whether or not I consider it to be a scam.

IDlife Overview

IDlife is a mlm company that sells health products that are non-GMO, soy-free, gluten-free, and hormone free, which follow recent health trends. They sell a range of products from skin care, to workout, to sleep products and more. The products seem good to me, but these aren’t what I want to talk about here. What I want to talk about is the business opportunity that IDlife offers.

IDlife is a direct sales business. This means that they use independent distributors, which can be anyone, to market their products. They do not sell in stores. This business has what you call a multi-level marketing (mlm) compensation structure meaning that there is a lot of incentive to recruit new distributors because you can make money from it.

Cost to Join

In order to get started you first need to purchase an enrollment kit. They have a free Starter Kit that you can choose if you wish that will give you a website to sell IDlife products on along with some other online marketing materials.

But if you are serious about this then you are probably going to be inclined to purchase on of the bigger enrollment kits that include the Starter Kit along with a bunch of products for you to sell. These are designed as a way to get your business up and running as quick as possible.

They range in price from $299 to $1,199.99.

The Compensation Plan

Getting paid is about 2 things, selling products yourself and recruiting in new distributors which you can make money off of.

Retail Sales

How it works is you will be buying products from IDlife at wholesale prices and then selling them at a markup. You will be able to get 30% commissions on these sales. If you sell through your website then you don’t actually have to hand the product to the person, it will be shipped to them.

Recruitment

Recruitment is a key factor in mlm’s like this. All the big earners have one thing in common… they recruit a lot and have big downlines.

There are several ways that you can earn money from recruiting others in but I’m going to cover just 2 of them that will basically give you an idea of how it all works.

1) Business Builder Bonus

You get this bonus right away for each person that you recruit in and get to buy the one $399 Enrollment Kit that they offer. This is the enrollment kit that they really push you to get.  You will get $100 for each person you get to buy this.

2) Residual Income

Here you can make money from a uni-level structure. When you recruit someone into the business they go beneath you on your level 1. If those people then recruit people into the business they go beneath them on your level 2. This goes down 10 levels and there can be an infinite number of people at each level.

As you can see on the chart below, you will earn commissions from these levels beneath you based on your rank.

The Reality Here

The reality of this business, and many other mlm’s, is that recruitment is a must if you want to make good money. If you want to climb the ranks and unlock the entire compensation plan then you literally have to recruit, there is no other option.

The problem with this is that the large majority of people will fail to make good money. In order to make good money you need to climb this pyramid-like mlm structure, build your downline and earn commissions from the work they do.

The top few percent will make the majority of the money here. I wasn’t able to find an official income disclosure by IDLife to prove this but I have reviewed enough mlm’s (Nucerity International and Organo Gold recently) to know that with a comp plan like this it is how it is.

Conclusion on ID Life – Scam?

This place is not a scam. They do sell legitimate products and although recruitment is a big part of the business they do stay away from the pyramid scheme side of things by also placing emphasis on selling products to the general public.

However, I don’t necessarily recommend that you join this. I would say to join at your own risk. You know the reality of it because I just told you. So if you think its a good business to get into then go for it. Just know that much of what you hear is misleading because it is coming from distributors that are trying to recruit you in order to make money off of you.

Is Be The Boss Network a Scam? My Review Of It

Be The Boss NetworkIf you are looking to “be your own boss” then you might have come across this site called Be The Boss Network. I’m guessing you are suspicious of the legitimacy of this site, probably due to all he work from home scams that plague the internet.

If you are wondering is Be The Boss Network a scam, the answer is no. But there are definitely some things that you need to be aware of when it comes to joining this network and the programs that it promotes.

Be The Boss Network Overview

Be The Boss Network is nothing more than a job finder. Basically its just a big directory of MLM business opportunities that it helps match you up with.

It is free to sign up for and during the sign up process you will give your phone number, email, name, along with your personal goals and interests so that it can match you up with jobs that will be to your liking.

On the flip-side, BTB Network can also be useful for new mlm business owners who are looking to expand. If you own a mlm business you can get it listed in their directory and this will increase your chances of being found, hopefully increasing your workforce.

What Type of Jobs BTB Network Provides

BTB is all about mlm’s. For those who may not know, mlm stands for multi-level marketing. This means that there are multiple levels within the business and that you can earn money from those beneath you on lower levels.

MLM’s use what you call a direct sales business model. They don’t sell products in stores. Instead they use a independent distributors to market and sell their products. These independent distributors can be anyone…. you, me, your cousin… anyone can join.

As an independent distributor you get to work from home and you can work as little or as much as you want to. You pretty much are your own boss in a sense, although there are rules you have to follow.

How You Make Money

There are 2 main ways that you can earn money with mlm’s. It doesn’t matter what mlm you are looking at, they all have the same basic compensation plan. You can either make money from product sales to the general public, or you can make money by recruiting in other distributors and earning commissions from what they do.

Recruitment of other distributors is key if you want to make a lot of money. Top earners in mlm’s like these all have one thing in common, they have massive downlines, have climbed their way to the top, and earn nearly all of their money from the efforts of those beneath them.

The 2 common mlm structures that you will see are binary and uni-level. Both are focused around recruitment and honestly I don’t feel like explaining them too much. All you need to know is that they are all about recruitment of other distributors.

The Problem With These Business Opportunities

The problem with mlm’s is that very few people make good money. The recruitment style structures that they have make it nearly impossible to make good money unless you recruit, recruit, and recruit like crazy. Of course most distributors will be low on the structure so most people fail to make good money. That is why businesses like these have extremely high turnover rates.

There is a lot of money making potential without a doubt, but the reality is that only so many people can make it to the top and earn good money. Because in order to earn good money there has to be a lot more people at the bottom which the top will be earning off of.

These pyramid style compensation structures will never be good for the average person. I just reviewed several mlm business opportunities recently (Nucerity International, Organo Gold, Enagic, etc.)

Final Thoughts on Be The Boss Network – Scam?

This place is in no way a scam. All it does is matches you with mlm’s that you might have interest in. One thing you should know however is that you will also get emails about mlm’s that they think you might like. So be prepared.

While mlm’s are legitimate business opportunities, most people are destined to fail and that is my main problem. You have to be really good at recruiting and have that salesperson type of personality to really make big things happen. Personally I have nothing like that in my personality so I sure won’t be using BTB at all.

But anyways, use this site at your own risk. Just know that most mlm’s make their business opportunities appear very luring and better than they actually are.

Is Nucerity International a Scam? – My Review

NuCerity InternationalWondering is Nucerity International a scam? With businesses like this a question of it being a scam or not is logical. There are some “shady” aspects to this business that I’m going to make known in this review. Because you are wondering if this place is a scam or not I’m guessing you were probably asked to join the business with claims of being able to make good money.

But is this place legit? Can you make good money? Is it worth your time? I’ll be going over a few things that you should definitely know about that people in the business probably will not tell you and I hope I can answer these questions for you.

Nucerity International Overview

Nucerity International is a mlm company that sells skin care products. From what I have read and heard online the products are pretty good and I can’t really complain about anything there. But I’m not here to talk about the products being sold. I’m here to talk about the business opportunity offered.

Nucerity does all its selling and marketing under what you call a direct sales business model. This means that their sales force consists of a bunch of independent distributors running around, which anyone can become.

Cost to Join

There is no required cost to join, unlike many similar mlm’s. Of course you are going to have to purchase some products at wholesale price because you are going to be selling them to make money, but the amount you buy and what you buy is ultimately up to you.

They do have starter packs available starting at $150 and going up to over $1,000. These packs are designed to give you a boost when getting started and come with a range of products that are good for those just starting.

The Compensation Plan

There are 10 ways that you can earn money with Nucerity International’s compensation plan. I’m not going to be covering all 10 of them but I’ll go over what I consider to be the main ways of earning.

Retail Profit

Retail profit is the simplest and most straight forward. You earn money when you buy products from Nucerity International at wholesale costs and sell them at a markup. You can also sell products through your own Nucerity International website and have them shipped to the customer automatically.

Team Volume Bonus

The team volume bonus is all about recruitment. This bonus comes from a binary structure where you have 2 people beneath you, 2 people beneath each of those people, and so on. You build up this team beneath you by recruiting other distributors and you will earn commissions from the team as a whole.

An illustration of a binary structure is on the right.

Team Matching Bonus

The team matching bonus is also all about recruitment as well. This is a unilevel structure and basically here you will be earning money from people in your downline and their own teams. You can earn up to 8 generations deep but when you start out you will only be able to earn on the 1st generation beneath you.

Moving Up The Ranks

If you want to unlock the entire comp plan you need to move up the ranks. As you see with the example here of the Team Matching Bonus, you will start out just earning from 1 generation deep but as you move up you can earn from all 8 generations…

Now you may be wondering.. well how do you move up the ranks?? The answer is RECRUITMENT. With each rank the required personal sales volume remains the same, so you don’t have to sell any more products on your own to move up. However, the team sales volume increases with each rank, meaning you need to recruit more people.

The Reality of This Business

The reality of this business is that the majority of people will not make good money. The comp plan favors recruitment to the point where if you don’t recruit you aren’t going to make good money. This mlm business model makes it so that only the top few percent of distributors make the majority of the money.

There is definitely a lot of potential to earn here but most people will fail.

Unfortunately I was not able to find an official income disclosure by the company to prove my point here but I have reviewed enough similar mlm’s to know that this is how it works. With a comp plan like this it is the only way it can work.

I just reviewed Organo Gold, Enagic, My Daily Choice, and some other mlm’s. Its the same story with all of them.

Conclusion on Nucerity International – Scam?

I do not consider Nucerity International to be a scam. They sell legit products and although they do put a lot of focus on recruitment, the money still all comes from product sales (although much of this is from new distributors buying).

The main problem here is that many people are mislead into thinking that this is some amazing business opportunity when the reality is that most people will not succeed. If you want to join this then go for it, the choice is yours. Just know what you are getting yourself into.

Is Organo Gold a Pyramid Scheme Scam or Not? My Review

Organo GoldOrgano Gold offers a business opportunity that anyone can join in on. However, many people are hesitant to join due to the recruitment style nature of this business model. This business does share many resemblances to a pyramid scheme but that does not necessarily mean they are one.

If you are wondering is Organo Gold a pyramid scheme then I am writing this for you. In this short post I’ll be going over how this business operates, how it could be a pyramid scheme, the compensation plan, and more.

Organo Gold Overview

Organo Gold is a mlm company that sells coffee, tea, and products with an ingredient called Ganoderma, which is an Asian mushroom that supposedly has a lot of health benefits.

Like many mlm’s, much of their products are based on hype and don’t have much scientific evidence to back up some of the claims that are made. But I’m not really here to talk about the products. I’m here to discuss the business opportunity.

Organo Gold markets its products exclusively from the work of independent distributors. They don’t sell in stores and this is what you call a direct sales business model. The pyramid scheme side of things comes in when you look at the mlm structure they have. With this multi-level structure distributors can actually recruit in other distributors and earn money from what they do.

How You Make Money

Ok, so pretty much there are  two main ways to make money as a distributor. You can go out and sell products yourself and on your website and earn money from that , or you can go out and recruit new distributors into the business and earn money from what they do.

While selling products yourself is very important, and you actually have to maintain a certain level of direct sales in order to move up the ranks, recruitment is also a key component for making money in this business. And recruitment is where you will make the “real” money.

If you were to look at any big-time earner in this business I can guaranteed you that they are recruiting like crazy.

The Pyramid Scheme Side of It

Ok, so in the compensation plan that Organo Gold has in place there is both a binary and a uni-level structure in place. Below you can see the difference between the two.

They both are formed from recruitment of new members and with both you will earn money from those beneath you. But with the binary structure there are only 2 open positions below each person and with the uni-level structure there are infinite positions.

I don’t really want to get too into both of these. The important thing to know is that you can make money by recruiting people in beneath you in 2 ways here.

But you don’t have full access to the entire compensation plan here until you move up the ranks, unlocking more and more features as you go up. For example, the uni-level structure has 9 levels. The people you recruit are your level 1, the people that your level 1 recruits are your level 2… and so on down to 9 levels. So you can potentially earn money from those people 9 levels beneath you but in order to get to that point you need to move up all the ranks.

There are 12 ranks total. The thing that I don’t care for with the rank structure is that you are forced to recruit new distributors into the business if you want to move up the ranks. And since moving up the ranks is how you get the chance of earning more money… you are more than likely going to go out and recruit.

So Is It a Pyramid Scheme?

What separates a legit mlm from a pyramid scheme is the amount of revenue they make from product sales to the general public vs recruitment. When a mlm relies too much on recruitment for revenue this is when it crosses the line.

So does Organo Gold rely too much on recruitment? That is the real question. They obviously push distributors to recruit because it is a requirement if you want to move up the ranks. However…. it is also a requirement to make direct sales yourself. So there is still emphasis put on direct sales.

Honestly, I still think that Organo Gold is a legit mlm and not a pyramid scheme. They do lean a little close to the line between the two but there is just not enough to call them a pyramid scheme.

Conclusion On  The Organo Gold Business Opportunity

While Organo Gold is not a pyramid scheme as far as I see it, it still is not the great business opportunity that some people may lead you to believe. The fact of the matter is that with mlm structures like this that favor recruitment so much very few people make good money. Only the top few % make the good money while those at the bottom do not.

I have reviewed dozens and dozens of similar mlm’s (My Daily Choice & Evolv Health recently) and they are all the same when it comes to this.

Organo Gold’s official income disclosure proves exactly this… 86.34% of distributors make less than $600 per year…

Some people go on to make good money but most people do not. Just know what you are getting yourself into and if you still want to become a distributor than go for it.

Is Enagic Kangen Water a Scam? My Opinion On This Business Opportunity

enagicEnagic has a business opportunity that anyone can join in on and make money. But is it really as good as people claim? Or is Enagic Kangen Water a scam that is going to be a waste of your time?

It can be luring to work from home because of all the freedoms that come with it. Unfortunately it seems that most work at home opportunities fall short. Enagic seems to have a decent business opportunity here but there are definitely some downfalls to it all. In this post I’ll be going over what you have to do if you join this business, the compensation plan, and some income statistics.

Enagic Business Opportunity Overview

Enagic is a mlm company that sells water ionization machines. Ionized water has health benefits but there is also a lot of hype surrounding it and even un-backed claims that it can cure cancer and more.

I do think that Enagic’s products are good. They seem to be good quality and seem to work as intended. But what I want to go over here is the business opportunity, not so much the products.

This company operates under a direct sales business model. This means that their products are not sold in stores. Instead, they have independent distributors do the marketing and sales. Anyone can join in as an independent distributor with no sign up fee and can make money selling these products.

What is also very important to note is that this is a mlm business opportunity. This means that you can recruit in other distributors beneath you in your downline and make money off of them.

The Comp Plan

Honestly the compensation plan here is pretty confusing. Its like one I have never seen before and they call it the 8 point system.

Basically how it works is like this…. When you start out and make your first 2 sales you will make $340 off of each one. Once you make another sale you will get $680 which you will continue to get up until you have 10 sales. Then you will enter the next rank and get $1,020 per sale. And this continues on like this with the maximum being $2,040 per sale.

I don’t really want to get too much into it here and I found a video that does a good job explain it , so here you go if you want to learn more about it…. (I do not own this video and it is for educational purposes only):

What I Really Like About This Comp Plan

I like how this compensation plan does not force you to recruit other distributors into the business. I have reviewed many mlm’s over the years and often times they will force you to recruit in order to move up the ranks and earn more money.

Now of course recruitment for Enagic is beneficial, and you can move up the ranks faster because your downline will make sales for you as well, but it is not a requirement.

The Reality Of This Business

Although recruitment is not required, it still is obviously a big component of the compensation plan and is necessary to maximize earnings.

Because of this mlm recruitment style structure, it is going to be difficult for most people to make good money with it. As with just about every single mlm out there, I wouldn’t be surprised if only the top few percent of distributors at Enagic make good money. That is just the way it works because you need to build a big downline to really bring in the money, and the majority of people, which will be low on this pyramid-like mlm structure will not be able to make good money.

I was not able to actually find an official income disclosure that shows income statistics here but I have reviewed enough mlm’s to know this is the reality of it (reviewed My Daily Choice & Evolv Health recently ).

Enagic Business Opportunity Conclusion – Scam?

I definitely do not consider Enagic to be a scam. Their products are high quality and seem to be all around good. And although recruitment is pretty much essential for making good money, you are not forced to recruit.

Another plus that I came across it that they have an A+ rating with the BBB (Better Business Bureau). This is not always the best indicator of legitimacy but it does add some credibility.

Overall Enagic is one of the least “scammy” mlm business opportunities that I have come across and if its something you would be interested in then go for it. Just don’t underestimate the difficulty of selling these high priced products.

Is My Daily Choice a Scam? – A Look At This Business Opportunity

My Daily ChoiceMy Daily Choice may sound like one of the best business opportunities out there but as with anything, there are downsides. Is My Daily Choice a scam? No… I definitely wouldn’t go as far as to say that, but there are some negative aspects to the business that everyone should be aware of.

When it comes to network marketing businesses like My Daily Choice you have to be careful. A lot of them get a bad rap for the inherent recruitment style business model that they have and rightly so. Usually the majority of people that join these biz ops fail to become successful and to make good money. In this short post I’ll look into the compensation plan that MDC offers as well as how much affiliates actually make.

My Daily Choice Overview

My Daily Choice, or MDC as I’ll be calling it for short, is a network marketing company that sells nutritional sprays, brain enhancement products, and a savings program where you can get discounts from thousands of merchants.

Like most network marketing companies, their products are largely based on hype and do not seem to be as incredible as they claim. But I’m not here to review the products I’m here to talk about the opportunity.

Anyone can join MDC as an affiliate and make money selling their products. And the shady side to it all is that affiliates can also recruit other people into the business and make money off of them. This is what you call mlm, or multi-level marketing, when you can recruit people in beneath you like this and earn from them.

Cost To Join

You are required to pay the price to join this business. The cheapest starter pack that you can buy is $59.95 and the most expansive is $599. The unusual thing about buying these packs is that you can actually buy higher ranks. You can buy your way up the ranks from the start if you buy the more expensive starter packs.

The Comp Plan

I’m not going to get too into the compensation plan here because there is a lot too it, it is pretty confusing, and honestly it would take forever to explain. But I will give a good overview of it.

When you start out as an affiliate you can make 25% of the product cost, which is the difference between wholesale price and the retail price.

That is great and all but the main money maker here seems to be recruitment. From what I can see the people making the good money are those that have recruited in tons of people and are now earning from their efforts.

There are several ways you can earn from the recruitment style mlm business model here. The Team Commissions structure is one of them. This is a binary comp structure which means there is a left and right side. Each person has 2 positions beneath them that need filled. Once you fill those 2 positions the more people that you recruit will spill over and fill any open positions in your downline.

As an affiliate you will start out earning 8% of the smaller leg in the binary structure. But as you move up the ranks you can earn as much as 20%.

The Reality Here

As with any mlm that is based around a recruitment style business model like this, it is very difficult to make money. The way it is set up the top few make the good money while those at the bottom struggle.

In order to make good money you need to recruit like crazy to build up your downline and move up the ranks.

Unfortunately I was not able to find any official income disclosure released by MDC but I have reviewed enough mlm’s like this (Evolv Health & Pruvit recently) to know that with a comp plan like this not many are going to make money. It is highly likely that 96+% of affiliates don’t make enough money to live off of.

Conclusion on My Daily Choice – Scam?

I wouldn’t call MDC a scam although I do feel that there are a lot of people getting scammed due to the recruitment nature of this business. The problem is that there is so much incentive to recruit that this often leads to affiliates recruiting by deceptive means.

You just have to know what you are getting yourself into. Some people that join will go on to make good money but the overwhelming majority of people will fail to do so. Its a tough business model to make it in. It gives people a lot of potential but makes it extremely difficult.

Is Evolv Health a Scam? – A Look at The Business Opportunity

Evolv HealthThe business opportunity that Evolv Health offers may sound very enticing but don’t jump into it just yet. While you can make money with this business there are definitely some downsides that it seems many people are not aware of when they join. This usually leads to discouragement and disappointment.

Is Evolv Health a scam? I would not call it that. But what I will say is that there are people that are being mislead and basically being “scammed” when they are recruited into this business. In order to not get scammed you just need to be aware of what you are getting into.

Evolv Health Overview

Evolv Health is a mlm company that sells a range of health products. From what I see the products sold here are of good quality and I can’t really complain about them in this regard. I guess my only complaint here would be that they are fairly high priced.

But anyway, I’m not here to talk about the products. I’m here to talk about the business opportunity. Evolv Health relies on direct sales for all their selling/ marketing. This sales force is made up of independent distributors, which anyone can join and become.

Independent distributors can earn money by selling products directly and also by recruiting new distributors into the business. This is the cause for much of the controversy… well pretty much all of it. It often leads to distributors recruiting by somewhat deceptive means.

The Comp Plan

As I mentioned, as a distributor you will make money in 2 ways… by selling directly and by recruiting others who will sell.

When you make direct sales you can receive anywhere from 10-15% of the wholesale cost as well as 55% of the total PV (personal volume), which is the volume of orders placed by you and your customers in a given week. These direct sales commissions are great and all but the real money comes into play when you look at recruitment.

There are a lot of ways you can earn money when you recruit in other distributors but I’m just going to be covering a few. The first way you will get paid is by getting HOPE Bonuses. You see, when you join this business opportunity you have to purchase what they call a “HOPE Kit” if you want to take full advantage of the comp plan. Then when you recruit other people in you will get them to purchase these kits and you will make money off of it. You can make from $25 to $150 off of these initial kit purchases depending on the kit they buy…

Another important aspect of the comp plan is the binary structure. There is what you call a Team Bonus where you earn commissions from what you and the people in your downline did. With this binary structure there are 2 positions below each person and it just branches out wider and wider as it goes down.

When you recruit 2 people in they will go to fill the 2 positions beneath you. Then after that they will spill over and fill any open positions that are in your downline. This binary structure is powerful and where much of the money is made from the top distributors at Evolv Health.

Ranks

The last thing that you really should know here is that there are ranks within this business and the amount you can make depends very much on your rank. There are 12 ranks total and moving up the ranks is all about increasing your PGQV. This stands for Personal Group Qualification Volume and is a measure of the volume of sales that are made from your personal downline.

So basically in order to increase your PGQV and move up the ranks you are going to need to recruit like an absolute madman.

The Reality Here

The reality here is that this business is focused very much on recruitment. Members make very good money from recruiting others and this leads to people often recruiting people in by feeding them all the information that they want to hear. They make the opportunity sound better than it is.

The cold hard truth here is that not many people make good money with mlm structured businesses like this. The way they are structured only the top few percent make the good money while those at the bottom struggle.

I was able to pull up a 2015 official income report from them that shows this. As you can see below I circled a section of distributors. This section accounts for over 91% of all distributors and the average weekly earnings are less than $100.

Conclusion on Evolv Health – Scam?

I do not consider Evolv Health to be a scam although I do feel that people are getting scammed from being fed false hope when they are recruited into this business. The business itself is a legitimate mlm business because they do put adequate focus on selling products to the general public.

However, the recruitment style nature of mlm’s like this make them very hard to make money in and they also lead to many people getting ripped off. I just reviewed NorwexPruvit, WFG and other mlm’s recently and they all are the same story.

While some people will be able to go on to make good money, most people will fail to do so.
