Is Extrabux a Scam? My Review of This Cashback Program

extrabuxEarning some money back on your online shopping is a must nowadays in my opinion. Places like Extrabux make this possible and very easy. But is Extrabux worth your time or are there better options out there? Is Extrabux a scam that is going to just end up leaving you discouraged?

Before you sign up for this place or not it is important to know how it works, how much they pay you, and some of the common complaints that are floating around about this cashback program. In this post I wrote I’ll be going over all of this.

Extrabux Overview

Extrabux is what you call a cashback program. Anyone can become a member here for free and earn money back on their online purchases that are made through their site. They are currently partnered with over 2,500 different stores so there is no good reason why anyone shouldn’t be able to save money using this program to shop online.

You might be wondering how they can pay you money to shop and the process is simple really. You see Extrabux gets paid commissions to refer people to these online stores from the stores themselves. So if you to to Amazon.com through Extrabux and buy something, they get paid a commission from Amazon. They then give you some of this commission back in the form of cashback.

How It Works

After you sign up, which takes about 20 seconds, you can start earning cashback immediately. After you login you can browse for the stores you wish to shop at. You can search for stores by category, letter, or you can search for specific stores by using the search bar.

Below you can see that I searched for stores that begin with “W” and found Walmart, which is a store I am interested in shopping at…

When you find a store you wan to shop at you can click the “Start Shopping” button that appears beside it. This will redirect you to the store where you can do your normal shopping.

Also, many of the stores here have coupons that you can use. As you can see above, Walmart has 40 coupons available at this time. You can use these by entering the codes at checkout.

Summary of the process: You go to Extrabux. You find a store you want to shop at. You click on it and are redirected to the store. You shop there. You earn cashback.

Also there is a browser extension that they have which makes this process even easier. I’ll go over this soon.

How Much Can You Save?

The amount that you can earn in the form of cashback is totally dependent on the store. Generally I would say you can expect the bigger stores to pay you anywhere from 1.5 – 4% cashback whereas some of the smaller and lesser known stores will pay over 20% cashback in some situations.

And as for the coupons, these vary greatly. You can save a good bit of money using coupons on this site but you never really know when you will find good ones that you can use.

Getting Your Money

When you shop your cashback will be credited to your account within a week. Once you have accumulated $10 in your account you are eligible to cash out. You can choose to receive your money via PayPal or by check in the mail.

Personally I prefer PayPal just because it is faster and easier, but the choice is yours.

What I Really Like

Extrabux has a browser extension that is available for Google Chrome. This makes things even easier than they already are.

Normally you would have to go to Extrabux.com and click on the store you want to shop at in order to earn cashback. But if you download the browser extension you don’t have to do this. You can go straight to the store like you normally would and earn cashback.

Conclusion on Extrabux – Scam?

Extrabux is definitely no scam and I would say it is on the better side when it comes to cashback sites. I have reviewed dozens of these sites looking for the best one and this is pretty good (TopCashBack is another good similar site). They offer decently high cashback amounts and it doesn’t get any better than using the extension that they provide. So all in all I like what I see here.

Also, you might want to read my review of Ibotta. This is my favorite in-store cashback app. It is really nice for earning money back on grocery shopping and things like that.

Instant Income System Review – Scam or Legit Money Making Opportunity?

Instant Income SystemIf you are looking to make money online and came across this program called “Instant Income System” do not buy it. This is a warning because I know anyone who buys into this will be thoroughly disappointed. This is nothing more than a re-hashed old program that has been given a new name.

In this Instant Income System review I’ll be going over the truth of the matter here. What they tell you on the sales page is filled with lies and some extremely misleading information. I’m sure you picked up on that and is why you decided to do a bit of extra research on this program in the first place.

Instant Income System Overview

Instant Income System is a program that was created by “Karen Evans” (fake name by the way) that helps you make money online by what they call “Link Posting”.

When you buy into this program you get some training, customer records for you to post links for, and a website. It may sound pretty good and enticing but it more than likely isn’t going to make you a penny. I’ll get into the reason why soon but first I want to bring to your attention some of the lies and fabrications that are used to promote this program.

Lies, Lies, and more Lies

The first thing that you should know is that there is no news station that is actually promoting this program or that has featured it. At the top of the sales page they tell you that it has but this isn’t true and you can easily see this if you search for the program on any of the news sites.

Also, I came across a fake news article that is supposed to look like an article on CNN. This article is completely fake and talks about Bill O’Reilly’s firing from Fox News and claims he is promoting Instant Income System. The whole story is ridiculous and fabricated. The website it is hosted on is not CNN and is just made to look like it.

Here is a screenshot of what I am talking about…

Another lie that they tell you is that there are limited positions. This is not true and you could leave this page and come back to it in a month from now and it would be telling you the same darn thing. This is just a trick to get you to sign up as fast as possible so that you don’t read reviews like mine.

And the last lie that I want to cover is that Karen Evans is fake. This person does not exist and is just made up to try to relate to the people looking to make money online. This same name has been used in other identical scams in the past. One example of this was a program that I reviewed called Total Income Answer. It was the same darn thing with  a different name and was also created by “Karen Evans”.

Below you can see a screenshot of Karen Evans from Instant Income System followed by a picture of her from Total Income Answer. Both have the same stories but different pictures…

From Instant Income System sales page:

From Total Income Answer sales page:

There was also another identical program I reviewed recently called Freedom Cash System.

What You Get With This System

As you can probably guess based on all the lies that they tell… this system is pretty darn crappy.

When you buy it for $97 you will get access to training, customer records, and a pre-made website.

The training will basically teach you how to spam links everywhere which is a horribly ineffective method of “link posting”, which is actually called affiliate marketing.

The customer records will be provided to you so that you can spam links everywhere. And the website will be a cookie cutter website that is given to everyone else who signs up for this program. It is cheap and isn’t worth $10.

Can You Make Money With This?

The funny thing is that you can actually make money doing this… you just won’t if you follow this system.

Affiliate marketing, which is what they are calling link posting, is a legitimate business model and is actually how I make a living working online. This is when you promote products for companies online. Amazon, Walmart, Groupon, Macy’s, and all the big stores have affiliate programs that are free to sign up for. When you sign up you get your own unique links that you can post and when someone clicks on them and buys the product you get paid a commission.

The problem with this program is that they are in the business of spamming links everywhere. Affiliate marketing is not that easy and if it were everyone would be doing it. You can’t just go posting links all around and expect people to click on them and buy the product.

They also mislead you a bunch when they say that each link takes 1-2 minutes on average to post and that you will make $15 per link. That is far from the truth. It is impossible to predict how much a link will make you. It could make you $0 and one could make you $2,000. It all depends on how many people click that link and purchase the product that you are promoting. Saying that you will earn $15 per link on average is a stupid thing to say.

What I Recommend

If you are interested in learning affiliate marketing then I would suggest taking a look at Wealthy Affiliate. I wrote a pretty detailed review of this place. Basically Wealthy Affiliate is an affiliate marketing training program that provides tools, training, and other resources. This is where I started out years ago and where I learned everything.

Its a really good program that is easy to follow and you don’t need any experience to begin with. I would definitely suggest reading my review to see if you would like it if you are interested in this business model.

Is Evolv Health a Scam? – A Look at The Business Opportunity

Evolv HealthThe business opportunity that Evolv Health offers may sound very enticing but don’t jump into it just yet. While you can make money with this business there are definitely some downsides that it seems many people are not aware of when they join. This usually leads to discouragement and disappointment.

Is Evolv Health a scam? I would not call it that. But what I will say is that there are people that are being mislead and basically being “scammed” when they are recruited into this business. In order to not get scammed you just need to be aware of what you are getting into.

Evolv Health Overview

Evolv Health is a mlm company that sells a range of health products. From what I see the products sold here are of good quality and I can’t really complain about them in this regard. I guess my only complaint here would be that they are fairly high priced.

But anyway, I’m not here to talk about the products. I’m here to talk about the business opportunity. Evolv Health relies on direct sales for all their selling/ marketing. This sales force is made up of independent distributors, which anyone can join and become.

Independent distributors can earn money by selling products directly and also by recruiting new distributors into the business. This is the cause for much of the controversy… well pretty much all of it. It often leads to distributors recruiting by somewhat deceptive means.

The Comp Plan

As I mentioned, as a distributor you will make money in 2 ways… by selling directly and by recruiting others who will sell.

When you make direct sales you can receive anywhere from 10-15% of the wholesale cost as well as 55% of the total PV (personal volume), which is the volume of orders placed by you and your customers in a given week. These direct sales commissions are great and all but the real money comes into play when you look at recruitment.

There are a lot of ways you can earn money when you recruit in other distributors but I’m just going to be covering a few. The first way you will get paid is by getting HOPE Bonuses. You see, when you join this business opportunity you have to purchase what they call a “HOPE Kit” if you want to take full advantage of the comp plan. Then when you recruit other people in you will get them to purchase these kits and you will make money off of it. You can make from $25 to $150 off of these initial kit purchases depending on the kit they buy…

Another important aspect of the comp plan is the binary structure. There is what you call a Team Bonus where you earn commissions from what you and the people in your downline did. With this binary structure there are 2 positions below each person and it just branches out wider and wider as it goes down.

When you recruit 2 people in they will go to fill the 2 positions beneath you. Then after that they will spill over and fill any open positions that are in your downline. This binary structure is powerful and where much of the money is made from the top distributors at Evolv Health.

Ranks

The last thing that you really should know here is that there are ranks within this business and the amount you can make depends very much on your rank. There are 12 ranks total and moving up the ranks is all about increasing your PGQV. This stands for Personal Group Qualification Volume and is a measure of the volume of sales that are made from your personal downline.

So basically in order to increase your PGQV and move up the ranks you are going to need to recruit like an absolute madman.

The Reality Here

The reality here is that this business is focused very much on recruitment. Members make very good money from recruiting others and this leads to people often recruiting people in by feeding them all the information that they want to hear. They make the opportunity sound better than it is.

The cold hard truth here is that not many people make good money with mlm structured businesses like this. The way they are structured only the top few percent make the good money while those at the bottom struggle.

I was able to pull up a 2015 official income report from them that shows this. As you can see below I circled a section of distributors. This section accounts for over 91% of all distributors and the average weekly earnings are less than $100.

Conclusion on Evolv Health – Scam?

I do not consider Evolv Health to be a scam although I do feel that people are getting scammed from being fed false hope when they are recruited into this business. The business itself is a legitimate mlm business because they do put adequate focus on selling products to the general public.

However, the recruitment style nature of mlm’s like this make them very hard to make money in and they also lead to many people getting ripped off. I just reviewed NorwexPruvit, WFG and other mlm’s recently and they all are the same story.

While some people will be able to go on to make good money, most people will fail to do so.

NiceQuest
Paid Survey Sites

Is NiceQuest Legit? Or Is This Place Going To Be a Waste of Your Time?

NiceQuestNiceQuest is one of many sites you can take surveys on online and make money from them. But is this site any good? Is NiceQuest legit? Or is this place a scam that is going to be just a waste of time?

If you have never been on my blog before… Hi, my name is Kyle and welcome!. Making money online is something I do for a living. I also like to test out ways to earn a little extra cash for the heck of it.. this is why I look into paid survey sites like NiceQuest. In this short review of this place I’ll be going over how it works, how much you can make, the downsides I came across, and my final opinion of it.

NiceQuest Overview

NiceQuest is a paid survey site where anyone can join for free and make a little extra money taking paid surveys online (emphasis on “little”). The surveys that you take can be about pretty much anything. You never really know what type of questions a survey is going to ask and where it will go.

When you complete surveys you will be awarded in points. These points are what you can then redeem for gift cards and a range of physical products. What makes this site different from most other paid survey sites is the amount of physical products that you can “cash out” your points for. They offer all sorts of things like Xbox’s, computers, tablets, toys, and a bunch of quality products. They also have all the necessary gift cards, such as Amazon, Walmart, and all the big retail stores.

How It All Works

After joining NiceQuest and downloading the app if you have a smartphone, the first step will be to fill out your profile. They will give you a profile survey to do this and it will just ask you a bunch of personal questions. This is so that they know what type of surveys would be appropriate to send to you. I highly suggest you take the time to fill this out accurately.

After that you will receive relevant survey offers. When you complete these surveys you will earn what they call “Caracolas”. This is just what they call their points. And once you get enough points you can redeem them for real rewards as I mentioned above.

Right now I think the minimum amount of points you need is going to be around 50. This would be for if you want to redeem them for a $5 gift card of some sort. But if you get up to around 110 points there are a lot of $10 gift cards you can choose to get.

How Much Can You Make?

One thing that everyone should know before signing up is that you will absolutely not make much with this. Online survey sites like this one are good for making a few extra bucks in your spare time but you sure as heck aren’t going to make it rich or even come close to making a living off of it.

Generally you can expect a survey to take you 10-25 minutes to complete and pay you what is equivalent to about $0.50 to $3. The longer surveys are usually the ones that pay more an vice versa.

All in all you won’t be making much at all.

NiceQuest Complaints

Low Amount of Surveys

You can probably expect to receive an invitation to a handful of surveys each month. This isn’t much in the way of opportunity.

Disqualification

You will not qualify for every survey you are invited to. You might start to take it and then get disqualified.

No PayPal

I would like to see Paypal as a way to redeem your points but they do not offer this.

NiceQuest Conclusion – Legit?

There is no reason for me to call NiceQuest a scam. This place is a legit survey site and app. As with any site like this you aren’t going to make much for your time. That is the main downside to it all. But I do like the rewards that they offer. Being able to redeem points for computers, tablets, and more is pretty exciting.

But in all honesty, I don’t really see the point of spending time on surveys like this. I have reviewed countless sites like this… MyPoints, Survey Sheep, SwagBucks, etc.. and they are all the same… very little pay.

If it is money you are interested in then there are much better ways to spend your spare time. I make a living working online and I started out doing this in my spare time. What I do is certainly more rewarding and it pays the bills.

Anyway.. my hand is seriously starting to cramp up so I’m done writing for now. If you have any questions please leave them below in the comment section. Thank you 🙂

Is Entrepreneur Jobs Club a Scam? – Everyone Should Know This

This is a warning for everyone looking to buy into this Entrepreneur Jobs Club program. Much of what they tell you is very misleading and untrue. If you are wondering is Entrepreneur Jobs Club a scam the short answer is yes they are.

Although it is actually possible to make money with the “link posting” method they base this program around… it is unlikely that you actually will if you buy this program. In this short post I’ll be going over the reality of this program and what you need to know…. which they don’t tell you.

Entrepreneur Jobs Club Overview

Entrepreneur Jobs Club is a link posting program (as they call it) that provides training, some tools, and a website so that you can make money online.

While there is some truth to what they tell you about this program there is also a lot of lies. And these lies make it seem way better than what it actually is.

To start off this short review I’m going to be covering some of the lies that they tell you. I think it is important that you see these because you will realize that this program cannot be trusted at all. After that I’ll be going over why this program just isn’t going to work out and why most people will fail to make money with it.

The Lies They Tell You

Ok, ok… where to start? I guess I’ll start out by going over the fake news that they use to promote this program.

There are probably a lot of ways that you could have come across this program but one way that I found was through a fake news site, which I took a screenshot of here… This news site is completely fabricated. It is only a single page site and none of the menu buttons work or anything like that. It was created for the sole purpose of promoting this program.

Also you should know that there are no news sites that endorse this program or have featured it in the news. They news logos that are at the top of the sales page mean nothing at all and are just a trick to try to gain credibility in the eyes of the potential buyer.

Another thing you should know is that this program does not have limited availability. I know they tell you that they do but this is nothing more than a way to suck people in faster. If you were to leave their website and then re-visit it a month later it would tell you the same exactly thing.

And lastly, the last like that I want to show you is that “Mick Moore”, who is the woman that supposedly created this program does not actually exist. This is just a fictitious person that was made up by the scammers behind this.

I’ll prove it… Below is a screenshot of Mick Moore along with the story about her…

And here is the same exact story and picture only this lady’s name is Karen Evans. This is from an older identical program called Total Income Answer which I also reviewed…

The photo used in these pictures is a stock photo by the way. That means that anyone can buy it and use it as they wish.

Can You Make Money With This Program?…. Will You?

You can actually make money with the “link posting” method that this program is about, but you just won’t because this program is nothing more than horrible.

“Link Posting” as they call it is actually called affiliate marketing. This is when you promote products for companies online. All the big retailers like Amazon, Nike, Walmart, etc, have affiliate programs that you can sign up for to do this. As an affiliate you get your own unique links that you can use to promote their products. When you post a link and someone clicks on it and goes on to buy the product you then get paid a commission.

Its a great business model and I actually make a living doing this. But with the Entrepreneur Jobs Club you likely aren’t going to make much, if anything.

The approach this program takes is not good. They make it seem like it is the easiest job on earth, like you just go around posting links and making money. They even tell you that it takes 1-2 minutes to post a link and that you will earn an average of $15 per link posted. This is totally untrue. It is impossible to estimate the amount of people that will click your link and buy the product… which means you have no idea how much you will make.

When you buy this program you will receive training on how to post links, which is basically how to spam links everywhere. This way of going about it doesn’t work. If you just spam links everywhere no one is going to trust them and click on them. Also, the website that you will get will also be given to everyone else that buys the program. It will be cheap and nothing special by any means.

What I Recommend

Well I obviously am not going to recommend Entrepreneur Jobs Club to anyone. One thing that I forgot to mention is that this program has actually been around for quite a while. It just keeps getting re-branded under different names. I recently reviewed on of the older identical programs to this called Xtreme Home Paycheck.

But don’t let this program spoil your view of affiliate marketing. Like I said, the business model here is a legitimate way to make money online. If you are interested in doing this then I would suggest taking a look at Wealthy Affiliate.

Wealthy Affiliate is a training program that provides training, tools, and other resources for people looking to make money affiliate marketing. This is the where I learned how to do this and I vouch for them 100%. You can read my review of Wealthy Affiliate here.

Is Xyngular a Pyramid Scheme?

XyngularIf you are looking into the business opportunity that Xyngular offers you might be a little suspicious of how they operate. The recruitment model that is used to bring in new distributors might seem a bit “scam-like” to you. Its also logical to wonder is Xyngular a pyramid scheme or not?

Because of the controversy surrounding this business I decided to write this post to clear up a few things related to this business opportunity. I’ll be going over the “pyramid scheme” side of this business and will clarifying whether or not I think its an illegal scheme or a legitimate business opportunity.

Xyngular Overview

Xyngular is a direct sales business in the weight loss industry. They sell products dealing with appetite control, anti-oxidants, gut support product, and more. And with the direct sales business model this means that individual distributors take care of all the selling and marketing. These products are not sold in retail stores.

Additionally, Xyngular has a mlm compensation structure. What this means is that distributors can actually make money by recruiting other distributors into the business. This is what is causing all the controversy and there are definitely some downsides to this business model that I will go over.

How Xyngular Could Be a Pyramid Scheme

When it comes to mlm’s like this you have to look at where the real business opportunity lies. Do they put more emphasis on recruitment of new distributors or on product sales to the general public?

Mlm’s can be legitimate but they can’t be too dependent on revenue from new recruits. If they do depend too much on recruitment that is where they cross the line and can be considered product-based pyramid schemes.

One good way to determine whether there is too much focus on recruitment or not is to look at the compensation plan and see what they push distributors to do. Do they give distributors more incentive to recruit or sell?

A Look At The Compensation Plan

The comp plan at Xyngular is a uni-level one that goes 8 levels deep. This means that you can earn commissions from the people you directly recruit in (1st level), the people that they recruit in (2nd level), the people that the 2snd level recruits in (3rd level), and so on up to 8 levels.

But in order to be able to earn that far down you would need to move up the ranks within this business. There are 4 ranks total, each of which have 4 sub-ranks. So pretty much you could say there are 16 ranks total. And if you want to take full advantage of the comp plan you are going to need to advance up the ranks.

So how do you do this? Well… the key is recruitment. If you look at the chart on the right here you will see the different ranks and the “QV Requirements”. This QV number is a measure of how much products are sold from your sales organization, which is basically another name for your downline (aka the people recruited beneath you).

Sound Like a Pyramid Scheme?

I know that this recruitment style business sounds like a pyramid scheme, and it obviously puts a lot of emphasis on recruitment, which is necessary to advance up the ranks…  but I wouldn’t call it one.

Why do I say this? Well because Xyngular does require distributors to personally sell products themselves too. And if you look at the statistics it seems that they do put a good amount of focus on this because according to a 2016 report 76% of all Xyngular members were product consumers, while only 24% were distributors.

Even though there is a lot of incentive to recruit, and this often leads to distributors recruiting like crazy even by deceptive means… I still can’t consider this a pyramid scheme. Its just not. It is close to the boarder, but I would still call it a legit mlm.

Final Thoughts On This Business Opportunity

Although I don’t consider this a pyramid scheme I still wouldn’t call it a very good business opportunity. The bottom line here is that with a pyramid style mlm structure like this only the top few % of distributors make good money. Those with the big downlines and lots of recruits make the majority of the money while new distributors and those at the bottom make little.

I was actually able to pull up the official income disclosure by Xyngular for 2016. And as you can see 93.45% of all distributors made much less than $500/mo on average.

That is just the way it works with mlm structured businesses like this. Most people fail. I just was looking into Pruvit’s business opportunity (another health related mlm) the other day and its the same story.

Anyway… that is it for this post… I’m tired of writing. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please leave them below in the comment section ?

Is Freedom Cash System a Scam? – Here Is What You Should Know

Freedom Cash SystemIf you came across Freedom Cash System and are looking to make money online then I strongly suggest you hear what I have to say first. This program is not all that it claims to be. It is filled with very misleading information and makes it sound way better than it really is.

Is Freedom Cash System a scam? The short answer is yes. While you can actually make money doing what they tell you, it is nothing like they make it seem. Pretty much anyone who buys into this will be sorely disappointed with the results.

Freedom Cash System Overview

Freedom Cash System is a program that is supposedly your one way ticket to financial freedom. They offer you training, a website, and other resources so that you can make money online posting links for big companies.

While this is true that you can make money this way, the information that they present to you is very misleading and you cannot trust this place.

Before I get into the reality of this program I first want to go over some of the lies that are thrown in your face just to try to get you to buy into this as soon as possible.

Lies, Lies, Lies

This program is one that is actually pretty old and has been re-hashed under a lot of names over the years (most recently Complete Profit Code & Xtreme Home Paycheck).

The creator of this program is said to be a woman named Karen Evans, but this is a lie. The scammers behind this all have actually used this same name in some of the identical older scams and I’ll show you.

Below is a screenshot from Freedom Cash System’s sales page… It shows Karen Evans and gives her story…

And this is a screenshot from one of the older scams, Total Income Answer, that I reviewed in the past…

As you can see the story about “Karen Evans” is the same darn thing but the pictures is different and the layout is different.

And besides Karen Evans being a made up person, there are a lot of others lies.

Another is how they tell you that there are limited positions in your area. This is false and just a way to trick you into signing up as fast as possible. There are not limited openings.

Then there is the $500 that they promise you if you buy the program. You might be thinking.. “what have I to lose if the program only costs $97 and you are guaranteed $500?”. Well the reality here is that you will never see that $500 and no one else will either.

You Can Make Money Doing This

One thing I want to make clear is that you can make money doing what you are told…. to some degree.

You are told that you can make money posting links for big companies. This is true. It is called affiliate marketing and I am very familiar with it. I actually make a living doing this stuff.

Amazon, Walmart, Apple…. all the big companies have affiliate programs that you can sign up for to promote their products. You are then given a unique link that you use to refer people to their online stores. When you do so and that person buys something you are paid a commission.

Pretty simple right?

Well as always, this isn’t as easy as it seems. Freedom Cash System tells you that you can post a link in 1-2 minutes and earn an average of $15 per link. That is a massive lie and holds no truth. You never know how much a link will make you because it all depends on the amount of people that click it and buy through it.

The Reality Here

The reality here is that although you can make money affiliate marketing, you likely won’t make any if you buy the Freedom Cash System program.

When you buy this program you will be set up with a cheap website, training, and some other tools for marketing. You will basically be taught to spam links everywhere and hope to make money.

This isn’t how it works. If you just go around spamming links no one is going to click them and you aren’t going to make much at all, if anything. This is a horrible approach to this business model and will get you nowhere.

It isn’t quite that simple and if it were everyone would be doing it.

What I Recommend

Well I obviously am not going to recommend Freedom Cash System to anyone. This is just a re-hashed old program that is filled with lies. It was created for nothing more than for the owners to make money, not the people that buy it..

But like I said, the business model here, which is affiliate marketing, is a legitimate way to make money online. If you are interested in doing this then I would suggest taking a look at Wealthy Affiliate.

Wealthy Affiliate is a training program that provides training, tools, and other resources for people looking to make money affiliate marketing. This is the where I learned how to make money online and I vouch for them 100%. You can read my review of Wealthy Affiliate here.

Is WFG a Pyramid Scheme? – My Take On It

WFG pyramid schemeIf you are interested in the business opportunity that World Financial Group offers you might be a little hesitant to join due to how the business operates. There are a lot of complaints out there and even rumors about this place being a pyramid scheme. But are these just baseless rumors or do they have are any truth to them?

Is WFG a pyramid scheme or do they offer a legitimate business opportunity that could be life-changing? I took a look into this business and decided to write this post to clear the air on a few things. I’ll be going over what this place is, how it could be a pyramid scheme, the compensation plan, and more.

World Financial Group Overview

World Financial Group, aka WFG, is a mlm style business that sells investment products ranging from college savings plans, to mutual funds, to life insurance, and more.

They rely soley on independent representatives to do the marketing and bring in business. These independent reps can be anyone. It is very simple to join into this business and will cost you $100 ($125 in Canada)

As an independent rep you can make money in 2 ways… by selling WFG financial products directly to customers or by recruiting in new independent representatives and earning money from what they do. The fact that you can recruit new reps in beneath you and earn money from their efforts is the mlm part of it all and is what brings the term “pyramid scheme” into the mix.

How WFG Could Be a Pyramid Scheme

There are a lot of legitimate mlm companies out there where you can make money from people you recruit into the business beneath you in your downline. So just because you can do this in WFG doesn’t necessarily mean its a pyramid scheme.

What would make this business opportunity cross the line and be considered a pyramid scheme would be if its revenues were overly dependent on recruitment rather than sales to the general public.

So the question that needs answered here is whether or not they do rely on recruitment too much and push their independent reps too much to recruit. To answer this question I took a look into the compensation plan that they have in place to see what they push recruits to do.

The Comp Plan

The compensation plan that WFG has in place puts emphasis on both recruitment and on product sales.

When you first join into the company you start out as a Training Associate where you cam make 30% commissions on product sales. 30% commissions is decent but of course you want as much as possible. So what do you do? Well… you try to advance up to the next rank. With each increasing rank you can earn a higher percentage commissions per sale.

There are 6 ranks total. Their commission percentage along with the requirements that need to be met to get to that rank I’ve listed below…

  • Training Associate – 30% commissions
    • This is where all people start off
  • Associate – 45% commissions
    • Need to recruit 3 new associates and 3 new sales in 30 days to achieve this rank
  • Senior Associate – 55% commissions
    • Need to recruit 10 new associates and make 10 new sales in the next 30 days to achieve this rank
  • Marketing Director – 62% commissions
    • Need to recruit 25 new associates and make 25 new sales in the next 30 days to achieve this rank
  • Senior Marketing Director – 80% commissions
    • Need 75,000 points over 3 months
    • Need 10 life licensed associates
    • Need to have make over $35,000 in commissions over the last 12 months

So as you can see if you want to make as much money as possible you are going to have to recruit. Recruitment is a must if you want to move up the ranks.

And on top of the fact that you will earn higher commissions on product sales when you move up the ranks you will also earn commissions from the sales of the people that you recruit in. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to really find a lot of information on the actual mlm structure of this business and how it works so I can’t tell you for sure how many levels this mlm has.

So Is It a Pyramid Scheme?

Anyone that looks at the comp plan here can see that it really pushes recruits to recruit more people in. There is no doubt an overwhelming incentive to recruit.

However… there is also incentive to make product sales and this is something that remains at the forefront of the business. For this reason I cannot call this a pyramid scheme.

They also don’t force new recruits to spend a bunch of money. The only money that WFG pockets from new recruits is the $100 administrative fee which is nothing.

There are a lot of people going crazy recruiting people in by deceptive means just for the sake of making money off of them but unfortunately that is going to happen with mlm’s like this.

Conclusion on WFG

You have to be careful with what you hear when it comes to WFG. I have heard stories of independent reps posting jobs on workboards just to bring in recruits, many of which make the opportunity sound much better than it is.

The reality is that with mlm’s like WFG only the top few % make the good money. Those that are new and at the bottom won’t make much at all. You have to recruit, recruit, recruit and build up your downline if you want to make good money. Most people fail in these businesses and that is why there is always such a high turnover rate.

I wasn’t able to find an official income disclosure from WFG but I have looked into and reviewed enough similar mlm’s (just reviewed Norwex and Pruvit) to know that with a compensation structure like this most people will fail miserably.

Anyway… that is it for this post… I’m tired of writing. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please leave them below in the comment section ?

Is MyPoints Legit? – My Review

MyPointsMyPoints is a rewards program where you can make money doing simple things like taking surveys, watching videos, etc… But is this place any good? Is MyPoints legit or is it just another scam that is going to be nothing more than a waste of your time?

To answer this question I took at look into this site to see how things look. Anyone who knows me knows that I like to try out new sites for making extra money online for the fun of it. So MyPoints is not the first site like this that I have looked into by any means. In this review I’ll be going over how you can make money, how much you will really make, some complaints, and more.

How You Make Money at MyPoints

MyPoints is what you call a GPT site, or a Get Paid To site. They make money by conducting research and advertising and pay people like you and I money to perform simple tasks which include:

  • Surveys – These surveys take from 5-25 minutes normally and you can make up to 400 points.
  • Emails – You can also earn money reading emails that they send you. Some emails will credit you with points just for opening them up.
  • Videos – By watching videos you will earn points as well, although very little here. You can expect to earn 6 points or so for a 25 minute string of videos.
  • Shopping – Instead of cashback shopping, MyPoints offers “pointback” shopping. You can earn 1-4 points (generally) per dollar that you spend online when you shop.
  • Referrals – When you refer another person to MyPoints you will earn 10% of what they earn throughout their lifetime on this site.

And there are a few other ways to earn as well but these are the most popular ones.

How Much Is a Point Worth?

With everything you do here you are paid in points. These points can then be redeemed for PayPal cash, gift cards of all kinds, and prepaid Visa cards. They aren’t worth a darn thing until you actually redeem them for the rewards. So to see the real value of a point you have to look at the rewards offered.

Generally around 140 points = $1. So in order to cash out for a $10 gift card you are going to need around 1,400 points. This value varies a bit. You might find that 160 points or even 130 points equals out to $1 but generally speaking its right around 140 points that equal $1.

What Are The Rewards

With the MyPoints rewards program you can redeem your points for PayPal cash, prepaid Visa’s, and a variety of gift cards, as mentioned.

In order to cash out via PayPal you are going to need $25 minimum in your account. This will take a while. But if you want to get a gift card you can cash out with as little as $3 worth of points in your account.

They have gift cards to Walmart, Best Buy, Barnes & Noble, Buffalo Wild Wings, Bass Pro Shops, Burger King, CVS, Footlocker, and just about any place you can think of.

Some Complaints

Not much out of the ordinary here… just the usual complaints that you will see with any GPT site like this. These include…

Low Pay

This is the number one complaint you will find. Unfortunately it has become the norm in this industry to pay extremely low amounts. If you do the calculations you will find that you are making extremely low amounts for your time no matter if you are taking surveys, watching videos….

Lack of Support

The support staff with sites like this is always lacking. Unfortunately if you have problems that you need help with it is going to be much more of a hassle than it should have to be.

Boring

If you don’t get bored taking these surveys, watching the videos, etc… then good for you. But personally I find these tasks extremely boring.

MyPoints Conclusion – Is It Worth Your Time?

I can’t really complain too much about MyPoints because I have reviewed so many other GPT programs that I knew what to expect. I know they wouldn’t pay much and that it would be boring. All in all this place is a legit and you really can make money performing these mindless tasks.

But is it really worth the time put into it? I don’t see how. If you do want to earn a bit of extra money doing this stuff then go for it. I would however recommend SwagBucks over this site though. They have more opportunities to earn than MyPoints. My Points is definitely better than sites like Survey Sheep and Survey Voices, but SwagBucks ranks over them.

But anyway.. like I said… I just don’t see how this is worth the time that you have to dedicate to it. And on top of that it is not even close to being a reliable source of income. There are a lot better ways to make money online if you have any spare time.

Is Norwex a Pyramid Scheme? My Take On It

NorwexIf you are looking to get involved in the business opportunity that Norwex offers you might be a little hesitant to do so due to the way they conduct business. You have probably heard people call this place a pyramid scheme or maybe have came to that conclusion yourself. But could this be true? Is Norwex a pyramid scheme? Or is this just a rumor that has no truth to it?

Well the first thing I will say is that this is not just some baseless rumor floating around. Much of the way that Norwex conducts business resembles a pyramid scheme very much. In this short post I’ll be going over how it could be considered a pyramid scheme, the pyramid structure it has, and more.

Norwex Business Opportunity Overview

Norwex is a direct sales business that sells “green” cleaning products. These products are not sold in stores and all of the marketing is done by independent sales consultants. Anyone can sign up and join the company as a sales consultant and start making money doing this.

This place also has a mlm, multi-level marketing, structure… which is the pyramid scheme side of it all. This means that sales consultants can recruit new people into the business as sales consultants and make money from the money that they make.

How This Could Be A Pyramid Scheme

So basically a pyramid scheme is just a big recruitment scheme where members make money by recruiting new members in. A “pure” pyramid scheme would have no products and members would only make money by recruiting.

But as you know, Norwex has products. So they could only possibly be considered a product-based pyramid scheme. And in order to be classified as one of these they would have to be overly dependent on recruitment of new members for revenue rather than on sales of products to the general public.

One good way to see if they are or not is to look at their compensation plan and see if they give more incentive to recruit or to sell products.

A Look At The Comp Plan

As a Sales Consultant you will make around 35% commissions on the products that you sell directly and you can make commissions on what the people beneath you do up to 4 levels deep. The mlm structure is what you call “uni-level”, meaning that there can be and infinite number of people at each level.

Another important aspect of this is that there are ranks within Norwex and as a sales consultant your goal is to move up them… because the higher you move up the more of the compensation plan you “unlock”, thus earning more money.

So how do you move up the ranks?

Well you are going to have to recruit as well as make direct sales. Norwex is very straightforward here and they literally list the # of recruits you need to advance up each rank rather than force you to recruit indirectly.

There are 8 ranks total and advancing up each rank requires that you recruit a higher number of people into the business as sales consultants. This may make it seem very “pyramid scheme-like” but the fact that they also put emphasis on sales, and require you to increase sales to a good degree in order to move up the ranks is a good sign.

So Is This Place a Pyramid Scheme?

I d0 not consider Norwex to be a pyramid scheme. Although they obviously put focus on recruitment and require you to recruit to move up the ranks they also put emphasis on product sales to the general public.

So although the recruitment side of this all may seem a bit sleezy, this can’t be considered an illegal pyramid scheme as far as I see it…. although it does resemble one closely.

Final Thoughts On Norwex

Although I don’t consider Norwex to be a pyramid scheme this doesn’t mean they are a good business opportunity. The harsh reality here is that with a mlm structure like this very few people will make good money. Those at the top make the majority of the money while recruits near the bottom make little.

I wasn’t able to find an official income report to prove this but I have reviewed enough mlm’s similar to this to know that with a compensation plan like this not many are going to make good money. In fact I just reviewed two other possible pyramid scheme mlm’s, Nerium & Pruvit, the other day.

You have to be careful with businesses like this because people often paint the wrong picture in your head because they just want to recruit you to make money off of you and to advance up the ranks.

Anyway… that is it for this post. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please leave them below in the comment section 🙂
