Plexus, Pyramid Scheme Scam or Not? – Review of The Business Opportunity

PlexusPlexus, aka Plexus Worldwide, offers what many people claim to be a very profitable business opportunity. But you can you really trust all that you hear out there? After all it seems to me that many of those promoting this biz opp are doing it just to make money off of you. Now there is nothing wrong with promoting something that actually works…. but does Plexus really “work”?

Or is Plexus a pyramid scheme that you should stay far away from? This is a question I have seen a lot of people ask so I decided to sit down and address it in this review. If you are thinking about joining this biz opp you are going to want to read this over first. And by the way I am not affiliate with this company in any way so this review is going to be unbiased.

Plexus Worldwide Review

Plexus Worldwide is a mlm company that sells products in the health and wellness niche. I’m not really going to get into the products in this review but just to give you a bit of information on them… they mostly have to do with weightloss and weight management. They seem good to me but I’m no expert on these kinds of things and I’ll save a review of them for another day.

In a mlm company like this anyone can join as an independent distributor and make money selling products as well as recruiting in other people. The recruitment part of this all is what causes most of the controversy and is why this is called a pyramid scheme many times. But in order to really see if its a pyramid scheme you have to take a look at how they pay their distributors…. their compensation plan.

The Comp Plan

Ok, so in order to participate in the compensation plan you will need to pay your annual membership fee of $34.95 and have a 100PV minimum each month.

PV stands for “personal volume” and this is the volume of products that you or your customers purchase. The best way to achieve 100PV would be of course to sell products to customers so you can make money but you can also buy products for your own use to satisfy this requirement.

If you meet these requirements then you can potentially earn down to 7 levels deep in this mlm.

You can earn 4 levels deep just from new distributors being recruited in. You see when you are recruited in you are pushed to buy a Welcome Pack, which costs either $99 or $199. When you recruit people in and they buy these you will earn a commission. And if someone that you recruited in goes out and recruits someone in that buys one you will also earn a commission. And if that new recruit goes out and recruits someone in that buys one you will earn another commission…. and you get the point. This goes 4 levels deep.

There are several other ways to earn via recruitment but the farthest down this mlm goes is 7 levels. But being able to earn down all 7 levels depends on your rank.

Moving up the ranks is all about recruitment. At each rank the 100PV requirement stays the same. The difference is that you need more recruits and a bigger downline.

Pyramid Scheme?

Legitimate mlm’s become product based pyramid schemes when they focus too much on recruitment. And honestly… Plexus focuses on recruitment too much for my liking. This is definitely one of the “shadier” compensation plans I have come across.

Of course there is the 100PV requirement which is good. But in order to move up the rank its entirely about recruitment. Also you can satisfy this requirement by buying products yourself which I’m sure many people do just to participate in the compensation plan.

Overall I would like to see more focus on retail sales to the general public here.

However… although this place is obviously really focused on recruitment I still don’t know if its enough to call it a pyramid scheme. They have been operating in the US for while now and the US is home to some pretty strict laws against pyramid schemes…. so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt here.

Easy to Make Money With? Eh…. No

One thing that I do know for sure is that making money with Plexus will not be easy. I have reviewed tons of mlm’s with similar compensation structures to this, even some in the same health and wellness niche such as Total Life Changes & Ariix. With a a mlm like this its going to be difficult because of the amount the compensation plan focuses on recruitment.

Pretty much if you want to make good money here then recruiting in tons of people and building up your downline is a must. And because of the pyramid-like structure this has, most people will be at the bottom where they will struggle to make money. Only the top few % will make good money because they will be making commissions from all those beneath them.

This is the reason mlm’s like this have massively high turnover rates. Most people fail and that is because of the way they are set up.

Conclusion on Plexus – Good Opportunity?

Whether this is a good opportunity or not really depends on you. If you think you have what it takes to recruit in lots of people and you like the products sold here then this is something worth considering. But if you are unsure of this then it might not be.

Just know the reality and know that it isn’t easy. It is harder than a lot of people out there claim it is. Many people out there are in the business and are just trying to recruit you into their downline.

Something else that you might want to look into if you are looking for a work-from-home job is how I make money online. I make a living online and I enjoy what I do. Here is the program that got me started and got me to where I currently am, which I am still a member of.

Is Ariix a Pyramid Scheme? – Review of The Business Opportunity

AriixSince you are wondering is Ariix a pyramid scheme I’m guessing either you or someone you know has been asked to join the company. This recruitment aspect of the business can be somewhat shady and I know a lot of people are suspicious of it all.

In this review I’ll be going over a few things that everyone should definitely know about this business beforehand…. including if it really is a pyramid scheme that you need to avoid.

Ariix Review

Ariix is a mlm company in the health and wellness industry. They actually call themselves “the opportunity company” because of the business opportunity that they offer. Anyone can join in on the opportunity that they offer and make money selling Ariix products themselves as well as by recruiting in other representatives. The recruitment part of the business is what has many people calling it a pyramid scheme.

The point of this review is to focus in the business opportunity and whether or not its a pyramid scheme but I want to touch on the products sold here just for a second…. Ariix sells all sorts of products ranging dealing with beauty, weightloss, supplements, and more. I don’t have any problems with the products being sold. While some seem to be overpriced, they do appear to be good quality from what I have seen and read online.

But anyway… let me get on the the point of this all. To determine whether or not its a pyramid scheme I’ll first go over the compensation plan, which will show how representatives make money here.

Making Money, The Comp Plan

Ariix acts like they created some new magical compensation structure that will allow you to make more money than other mlm’s but it is nothing special. They call it the “The Ariix Multiline” structure but it is really just a uni-level compensation structure.

In Ariix’s Multiline structure representatives can recruit in other representatives and make money off of them, and the reps that they recruit in, and the reps that they recruit in, and so on to infinity.

In this structure there can be infinite people on each level and it goes infinite number of levels deep. This structure is the basis of the compensation plan.

They also have all sorts of other ways to make money with the compensation plan such as Team Lead Bonuses, Matching Bonuses, etc… but I’m not going to get into everything here.

Why Its Not a Pyramid Scheme

So obviously this comp plan is focused on recruitment. I mean after all if you want to maximize the potential then recruiting in other reps and building up a downline is a must.

HOWEVER, its not a pyramid scheme because they also put a good deal of focus on personal sales volume as well.

You see there are 4 ranks within Ariix and if you want to make good money and max out the comp plan you need to move up the ranks. And in order to move up the ranks you will need to meet personal sales volume requirements. There is a PV (point value) associated with each product sold and there are predetermined amounts you will need to reach in order to move up.

But Its Harder Than You think

You could literally move up the ranks just by selling a bunch of products yourself. However, if you don’t recruit other reps in and build up your downline then you aren’t taking advantage of the compensation plan.

With a mlm comp plan like this you pretty much have to recruit in order to make good money. The reason is because some of the potential money you could be making on sales is taken away from you and paid to representatives above you in the form of commissions. This makes it more difficult to make good money from you own sales and makes a reason to go out and recruit lots of people.

Because of the pyramid-like structure that mlm’s have, most people will always be near the bottom struggling to make good money while only the top few percent usually make good money. That is the way it works with mlm’s and is the reason there is such a high turnover rate in this industry.

I was able to find the official income disclosure on Ariix’s site and they state that for the 2016 year their representatives averaged an income of $2,025.62. And this was out of 43,945 representatives too. This is obviously a very low average but in all honestly I was actually surprised to see it was this high and was surprised by some of the numbers people are actually making here.

I review mlm’s all the time, most recently Asea & Cerule, and one thing for sure is that there are mlm’s that are a lot worse out there.

Conclusion on Ariix – Good Opportunity?

Ariix is definitely not a pyramid scheme nor are they a scam. They do present a legitimate opportunity but if you are going to go for it then you need to be realistic. There is a lot of potential here but the reality is not many people are able to unlock all that potential. You are going to need to be good at selling and recruiting if you want to make good money.

So just know that and if you think you have what it takes then go for it.

Something else that you might want to look into if you are looking for a work-from-home job is how I make money online. I make a living online and enjoy what I do. Here is the program that got me started and got me to where I currently am, which I am still a member of.

Is Beauty Counter a Pyramid Scheme? – Review of This Business Opportunity

beauty counterLooking to join Beauty Counter but worried that it might be a pyramid scheme? Then you are in the right place.

I know there are a lot of people out there looking into this business opportunity but are questioning its legitimacy. This is why I decided to write this review. The recruitment aspect of this business leads a lot of people to ask the question… is Beauty Counter a pyramid scheme?, which is a logical question to ask. In this review I’ll be answering exactly that and will be going over a few very important things that everyone should know about this place.

Beauty Counter Review

Beauty Counter is a mlm company that sells skin care products. Their business revolves around safer skin care products that have been tested and are proven to be healthy.

Now I am a guy and have never actually used any of these products but from what I have read and see online it seems they are good quality and do what they are supposed to.

But anyway… my focus here is on the business opportunity that they provide. Anyone can join this company as a consultant and work on their own time to make money by both selling Beauty Counter products themselves, and by recruiting in other consultants beneath them.

Cost to Get Started

In order to become a consultant you are required to purchase an enrollment kit that costs $85. This kit is basically a bunch of materials to help get your business going. It includes training, your own Beauty Counter website, and other things.

This doesn’t include any products however. They also sell Starter Kits that are not required but recommended. The starter kits include a bunch of products for you to market and and sell. Although its not required you are pretty much going to have to buy one and these start out at $218.

How You Make Money

As mentioned, there are going to be 2 basic ways that you can make money as a consultant here. You can sell products yourself and you can recruit in other consultants beneath you and make money off of them.

Personal Sales

You will be able to make up to 35% commissions on Beauty Counter products that you personally sell. However, you won’t start out earning this high of commissions. You will have to move up the ranks to be able to which I will go over shortly.

On top of these commissions they also give out Personal Sales Bonuses depending on how much product you sell in a given month. This can be as much as 10%.

Recruitment

Beauty Counter pays Override Commissions down to 4 levels. These Override Commissions are commissions paid to you from consultants that were recruited in beneath you.

The consultants that you personally recruit in are level 1, the consultants that they recruit in are level 2, the consultants that level 2 recruits in make level 3, and so on.

Here is a screenshot I took from this part of the compensation plan. As you can see in order to earn Override Commissions on all 4 levels you have to move up the ranks…

They also offer generational bonuses but I’m not going to get into all of that.

How you move up the ranks

There are 8 ranks total and moving up them is all about recruiting in more people for the most part. There is a personal sales requirement but that stays the same at 250 QV for all the ranks except for the highest rank of Managing Director. The main difference is that BV or Business Volume increases with rank a lot. And this is the amount of sales made by you and your downline.

So of course to increase that you will have to recruit.

Pyramid Scheme or Not?

Although this may seem like a pyramid scheme it isn’t. There is a lot of focus on recruitment but they still do require consultants to make personal sales too. Because of this it isn’t a pyramid scheme.

However, it still isn’t a great business opportunity for everyone. Because of its mlm business model which is very “pyramid-like”, this makes if difficult for people to make money with which is why most people in these businesses fail.

The problem is that people that are at the bottom have money taken out of there sales and given to the people above them in the form of commissions. This means they earn less and those at the top earn more. So pretty much in order to make good money here recruitment is key. You need to recruit and build up your downline.

Conclusion on Beauty Counter – Good Opportunity?

Beauty Counter can be a good opportunity but the reality is that most people that get involved will fail due to the business model here. I review mlm’s like this all the time,  Asea & Ambit most recently, and they are all the same. They have lots of potential to earn but only a small amount of people will ever achieve that earning potential.

If you think you can become a recruitment machine then go for it but if you think you will have trouble with this then its probably not the best idea.

Something else that you might want to look into if you are looking for a work-from-home job is how I make money online. I make a living online and enjoy what I do. Here is the program that got me started and got me to where I currently am, which I am still a member of.

Is iMarketsLive a Pyramid Scheme? – What You Should Know

iMarketsLiveWelcome to my review of iMarketsLive.

If you are considering this opportunity but hesitant to buy into it because you are suspicious of it all then you are going to want to read this. There are a lot of people out there wondering is iMarketsLive a pyramid scheme due to the recruitment side of the business and that is going to be the focus here. I’ll also be going over a few other important things that you should definitely know beforehand.

iMarketsLive Review

iMarketsLive is a mlm company in the FOREX and Futures trading industry. What they do is provide tools and training for people looking to make money here. The company’s  CEO is said to be a man named Christopher Terry, who is said to have made over $80 million in this industry.

There is some controversy surrounding this guy and there is no proof I can find of him actually making this much. On top of that it is also worth knowing that he was involved in Zeek Rewards, which was an online Ponzi scheme that was shut down by the SEC. However, there were a lot of good people involved in this and not everyone knew it was a Ponzi, so you have to give him the benefit of the doubt here.

Anyway, the point of this review is to look at iMarketsLive and determine if its a pyramid scheme. Because anyone can join them as an Independent Business Owner (IBO) and make money by selling to customers as well as by recruiting in other IBO’s beneath them, which is the part that has everyone questioning their legitimacy.

How You Make Money

Well as I just said, you will be making money by getting customers to join iMarketsLive for the products and services provided and you will be recruiting in other IBO’s beneath you and making money off of what they do. The full compensation plan is here if you want to read it, but I’ll summarize…

Every time you sell a Premium Package to someone you get paid $35. And if you move up the ranks a bit to that of Platinum 1000, you will get paid from the recruits beneath you selling this package, as well as the recruits beneath them.

Depending on your rank you can make anywhere from $37.50 to $125,000 per week. But of course moving up the ranks isn’t easy by any means. In order to move up the ranks there are requirements that you have to meet which include an increasing amount of retail sales that you make as well as an increasing amount Group Volume, which is the amount of sales you and those recruited in beneath you make.

Why It Can’t Be a Pyramid Scheme

I know it does seem awfully like a pyramid scheme. After all, recruitment of other IBO’s beneath you is literally a must if you want to increase your Group Volume and move up the ranks. However… it still isn’t a pyramid scheme and I’ll go over why.

The reason it isn’t is because iMarketsLive recently put into place what is called the “customer rule”, which says that 55% of the Group Volume must come from retail customers. So over half of the sales here are coming from you selling to customers who are buying in for the products, not for the business opportunity.

A pyramid scheme by definition is one that relies on revenue generated from recruiting in other business owners too heavily. And since iMarketsLive requires that they rely on customer sales for 55% of the Group Volume, well then it cannot be one.

There was a time when this rule wasn’t in place. When iMarketsLive first came out they did not have this 55% customer rule and I’m guessing they put it in place to avoid being shut down.

Conclusion on iMarketsLive -Good Business Opportunity or Not?

Although iMarketsLive is not technically a pyramid scheme it still isn’t the amazing opportunity that many people make it out to be. Because of the pyramid-like structure of this mlm business it is going to be hard to make money with, which is why the turnover rate in the mlm industry is so high and so many people fail. I recently reviewed Asea & Ambit Energy (2 other mlm’s) and its always the same story.

Pretty much you are going to need to be good at recruiting to make it here. And not just recruiting in new customers, but also new IBO’s. You absolutely need to increase your downline to move up the ranks and make good money. And of course this is easier said than done.

Some people will make good money here but most people just won’t because of the nature of the business. You need to be at the top of the pyramid to make good money. You want those commissions flowing up to you. And because there will always be more people at the bottom due to its shape, this means there will always be more people struggling.

So if you are going to join just know the reality of it. Many people in this business try to make it seem better than it is just to recruit you in.

On another note… Something else that you might want to look into if you are looking for a work-from-home job is how I make money online. I make a living online and enjoy what I do. Here is the program that got me started and got me to where I currently am, which I am still a member of.

Is Total Life Changes a Pyramid Scheme? – What to Know Beforehand

Total Life ChangesWondering is Total Life Changes a pyramid scheme? Then you are going to want to read my review here. I’ll give you a spoiler alert right now and tell you that no I do not believe they are a pyramid scheme, however… I’ll also tell you that its not really a great choice for most people out there.

There is a big recruitment component to this business model because it is a mlm opportunity. So its definitely logical to wonder if it is a pyramid scheme or not. As an Independent Business Owner (IBO) for this company you can earn money by recruiting in other IBO’s and by selling Total Life Changes products to customers.

So products seem good an all to me but I’m not concerned about them here. In this short review I’ll be going over how the business opportunity works and what you need to know about it beforehand….

Cost To Get Started

In order to become an Independent Business Owner and make money here you will first have to sign up for an autoship of at least one product. You will also be required to generate at least 40QV (qualifying volume).

You see each products has a product volume assigned to it and and you must generate at least 40 volume before getting started. So this could require 1 or more product purchases.

There are also business packs that you are pushed to buy that range from around $100 to $300.

Getting Paid – How It Works

Retail Profits

Once you become an IBO you get set up with your own Total Life Changes website. When people buy products through your site you will earn retail profits from them.

Fast Start Bonus

Here you get paid when you recruit other IBO’s into the company. You will earn a commission of 50% on their order volume. So if the IBO buys a one month supply of  Iaso Tea or NutraBurst you would earn $20 off of that purchase.

Binary Pay

This is one of the main parts of the compensation plan.

With the Binary Pay structure there are 2 open positions beneath each person. In order to be able to earn money from this you will have to personally recruit in 2 IBO’s minimum. Although if you are serious about it you will want to recruit in much more than this.

You will earn commissions each week from the volume of products sold in your downline, aka from the people recruited in beneath you. The pay will be dependent on the amount of products sold on the lesser side of the structure.

Matching Bonus & Lifestyle Bonus

These are 2 different bonuses but I’m putting them in the same section because I’m just going over them briefly.

Basically what you need to know is that the Matching Bonus pays you for the money made from your downline. This is all about earning from recruitment. Whereas the Lifestyle Bonus is a bonus given out to people in the high ranks that is intended to help them cover some of the expenses of doing business.

Pyramid Scheme or Not?

Ok, so a product based pyramid scheme is one that sells products but mostly to IBO’s instead of the general public. Pyramid schemes like this will force IBO’s to purchase products in order to be able to make money. These can be sneaky and sometimes seem legitimate. Sometimes pyramid schemes are difficult to spot.

Obviously Total Life Changes does force IBO’s to buy products in order to participate but is this enough to consider it a pyramid scheme? After all, they don’t require you to go out and purchase a ton of products like some other mlm’s do.

Judging from this I would say that no they are not a pyramid scheme, and honestly I have seen other mlm’s that are a lot worse in this regard that still operate legally. So I really wouldn’t be worried with this being a pyramid scheme.

Recruitment is a big part of the business but its just not a pyramid scheme as far as I can tell.

Good Opportunity?…. For Some…

With mlm businesses like this there is a lot of opportunity to make a lot of money but the reality is that most people will not. Their pyramid like structure makes it so that only the top few percent make the majority of the money.

I was not able to locate an official income disclosure for this place but I’ve reviewed dozens and dozens of mlm’s with similar compensation structures to know that this is how it works.

Life Force & Life Matters are 2 other mlm’s in the same health & wellness niche and its the same story for them.

Conclusion on Total Life Changes – Good Opportunity?

If you want to make good money here you are going to need to be good at recruiting in other people. Most people are not successful with this and that is the reason most people fail in these businesses. Recruitment is a big part of this business and if you want to take advantage of the compensation plan then it is a must.

But if you think you would be good at recruitment and like the products that Total Life Changes sells then go for it.

Something else that you might want to look into if you are looking for a work-from-home job is how I make money online. I make a living online and I enjoy what I do. Here is the program that got me started and got me to where I currently am, which I am still a member of.

Asea, Pyramid Scheme or Good Business Opportunity?- What To Know

ASEAIf you are looking into the Asea business opportunity, thinking about joining but worried that it might be a pyramid scheme then you are going to want to read this.

In this review I’ll be going over a few things that you should definitely know beforehand…. including whether or not Asea is a pyramid scheme.

Asea Review

Asea is a mlm company that sells anti-aging supplements and skin care products. From the looks of them the products seem to be good quality and all. I don’t see any problem with them. However, I’m not going to be reviewing the products here. If you are looking for a product review then you are in the wrong place.

I’m interested in the business opportunity. Anyone can join Asea and make money selling these products. In addition, you can make money by recruiting in other associates.

How You Make Money

So there are two basic ways that you will be able to make money here… by bring in customers yourself and by recruiting in other associates and earning money from what they do.

When you sell Asea products directly to someone you will earn the difference between the wholesale price and the retail price. You will just be buying them at wholesale and reselling them at retail. Also, if you get people to sign up as preferred customers they will have a monthly autoship set up, which means you will get recurring payment from them.

Then there are all the ways that come from recruiting in other consultants. Recruitment is a big part of the business and if you really want to make good money here then it is a necessary part of it all.

The first way that you will be able to earn money here is through the Fast Start Bonus. This is a bonus given when you recruit in other associates and they buy a starter product pack.

Next are the Team Commissions which they pay through a binary compensation plan. This means there are 2 positions beneath each person, a left and right as you can see from the diagram to the right.

You will get paid 10% commissions from the volume in the lesser leg. So of course recruiting in more people is the goal here.

On top of this they also have what they call a Check Matching Bonus. This is a bonus that you get paid that comes from the sales those beneath you have made. Its the same concept as the Team Commissions just its different in how it pays.

The Check Matching Bonus pays through a unilevel compensation plan. It goes 7 levels deep which means you can earn commissions from the people that you recruit in (1st level), the people they recruit in (second level), the people that the second level recruits in (third level) and so on.

The difference between a unilevel plan and a binary plan looks like this…

I know it can be somewhat confusing but all you really need to know is that the focus of both of the is on recruitment. Its all about recruiting in new associates.

Pyramid Scheme?

Although recruitment is a big part of this business it isn’t a pyramid scheme. The reason is because they do put some focus on selling products to the general public. While it obviously is very focused on recruitment it is also somewhat focused on regular customer sales too.

But just because its not considered a pyramid scheme doesn’t mean its a good business and I’ll tell you why.

Its Harder Than you Think

When it comes to mlm’s like this most people fail miserably and for good reason. The reason is because they are very difficult to be successful with. Usually only the top few percent make the majority of the money. This is because money made from those at the bottom of the binary & unilevel pyramid-like structures flows up and into the pockets of those above them.

This makes it harder for those at the bottom to make money and pretty much makes it so that you have to recruit and build up a downline to have a good chance here.

I wasn’t able to find an official income disclosure but from reviewing dozens of mlm’s similar to this, like Ambit & Prime My Body, I know that with a compensation plan as this one has the reality is this.

Conclusion on ASEA – Good Opportunity or Not?

First off, this place isn’t a scam. But whether or not its a good opportunity really depends on you. If you think you would be good at recruiting a lot of people in then this might be worth trying but if not it might not be. The reality is that businesses like this have very high turnover rates for a reason.

On another note… Something else that you might want to look into if you are looking for a work-from-home job is how I make money online. I make a living online and enjoy what I do. Here is the program that got me started and got me to where I currently am, which I am still a member of.

Ambit Energy Opportunity, Pyramid Scheme or Good Idea?

Ambit-EnergyIf you are looking into the Ambit Energy opportunity to build your own business and make some money but are hesitant to do so because you think it might be a pyramid scheme then you are going to want to read this.

I’m guessing you or someone you know has been contacted by a consultant who told you all about how great Ambit is and why you need to join. Well in this review I’ll be going over a few things that consultants aren’t going to tell you about this place.

Ambit Energy Opportunity Review

Ambit Energy is a mlm company that sells natural gas and electricity. In this review I’m not going to be focused on the products being sold though. I’m focusing on the business opportunity they offer.

As stated, they are a mlm, which stands for multi-level marketing. What this means is that they have a pyramid-like recruitment structure where consultants can make money not only from selling directly to customers, but also by recruiting in new consultants and earning from what they do. This recruitment side of the business is what makes people suspicious of it all.

The Cost

Joining isn’t free. You will have to pay a $429 one time fee along with a $24.95 fee every month to remain a consultant and get the tools for your business.

How You Make Money

As I said, there are basically 2 ways that you will be able to make money as a consultant with the Ambit compensation plan. You will be able to make money from bringing in customers yourself and you will be able to make money by bringing in new consultants.

The customers that you refer to join Ambit will be set up with a monthly plan. After all this is energy that you are selling them so they will have to pay monthly bills to remain active. This means that you will get paid residual commissions each month from these customers.

And the recruitment part of it all is what can really make this profitable. You will be able to recruit in new consultants and earn money from the money that they make. You will earn from them referring customers to Ambit.

You can earn residual income up to 6 levels deep. This means that you will earn from your personally recruited customers/consultants (level 1), from the customers/consultants that they recruited (level 2) and so on… all the way to level 6.

And of course, as with any mlm, there are ranks. If you really want to maximuze your earnings you have to move up the ranks which will allow you to earn more. And of course in order to do this you will be required to bring in more customers and recruit more consultants.

Pyramid Scheme?

While this may seem like a pyramid scheme because of how recruitment of other consultants is a big part of it….. it is not.

You see in order for this to be a pyramid scheme it would have to be overly dependent on recruitment of new consultants for revenue rather than good old fashion selling to ordinary customers. Although I wasn’t able to find an official income disclosure that would give proof of whether it does or not, I really don’t think it does.

The compensation plan requires consultants to recruit more consultants as well as bring in more customers to move up the ranks, which means there is focus on customer acquisition. I have seen and reviewed a lot of mlm’s and there (most recently Prime My Body & Cerule) are others that are a lot more “pyramid scheme-like” than this place.

Conclusion on Ambit Energy – Worth Joining?

Although Ambit Energy isn’t a pyramid scheme it still may not be something that is a good idea to get started with for you. One thing you have to realize about mlm’s like this is that they are extremely difficult to be successful in. They have extremely high turnover rates because most people fail by far.

In order to make good money you need to recruit and build up your downline. Only the few at the top are going to make good money. The rest at the bottom will find it harder to make money because some of the potential money they could be making is getting sucked away in order to pay those above them in the form of commissions.

So if you are going to join for the business opportunity just know that this is not nearly as easy as people trying to recruit you will make it sound. Another thing is that Ambit has been around for a while and the market saturation makes it a lot harder.

Something else that you might want to look into if you are looking for a work-from-home job is how I make money online. I make a living online and enjoy what I do. Here is the program that got me started and got me to where I currently am, which I am still a member of.

Prime My Body, Scam or Good Business Opportunity? – [Honest Review]

PrimeMyBodyWelcome to my review of Prime My Body.

I you are considering joining this business opportunity but are hesitant to do so right away then you are in the right place. Maybe you are suspicious of how great it sounds, maybe you are wondering will Prime My Body scam you, maybe it just all sounds too good to be true… whatever the case. In this review I’ll be going over a few very important things that everyone should know before they decide to join or not… things people involved in the business probably won’t tell you.

Spoiler Alert: No Prime My Body is not a scam. However, there are still a few things worth knowing.

Prime My Body Review

Prime My Body (PMB) is a network marketing company based in Texas that is involved in selling products in the supplement/health & wellness industry. They sell things like protein powder, daily moisturizer, lip firming cream, apparel, but their main product is their hemp oil, which you spray in your mouth.

As with most companies of this kind their products are what I consider to be way overpriced. Just to give you an example of what I’m talking about: It costs $149 to buy one bottle of hemp oil spray, which only contains 25 servings and is 1.7 fl oz. This is something that many people cannot even afford.

But anyway… as you can see from the title of this post my focus here is on the business opportunity that they offer. They are what you call a mlm (multi-level marketing) opportunity and what this means is that not only can you earn from selling PMB products to customers but you also are able to earn money by recruiting in new affiliates.

Cost To Join

In order to join as an affiliate you will have to pay a yearly fee of $39. This isn’t bad at all but you will also be pushed to purchase a starter pack which range in price from $239 to $1,190. These include a bunch of products and are good for people that are new to it all. They can help get your business up off the ground but aren’t completely necessary.

Making Money With Prime My Body

As I said, there are 2 basic categories for making money here. There are 8 ways total to make money but they all fall into these 2 categories, which I call direct sales and recruitement.

Direct Sales

These are your direct retail sales that you make to customers. The amount that you will make here depends on what product you sell but you can expect anywhere from 10 – 30%. The profit is just the difference between the wholesale cost and the retail price you sell it for.

You will also be able to earn monthly commissions from preferred customers, which are customers that choose to set up monthly auto-ship and pay every month for the same product(s).

Recruiting

Most of the ways to earn fall under the recruitment side of the business.

The fastest way to earn here is through their Fast Builder Rewards, which is when you get 25% of any starter package that you sell to new affiliates.

The Residual Rewards are a big part of their rewards plan here at PMB. This part of the plan features a 7 level uni-level compensation structure. This means there are 7 levels deep and each level has infinite number of affiliates.

The affiliates you recruit in are level 1, the affiliates they recruit in are level 2, the affiliates level 2 recruits in are level 3, and so on. As you can see in order to earn commissions from all 7 levels you will have to advance up the ranks.

So how do you advance up the ranks? Well.. you will have to recruit new affiliates in as well as bring in new customers. There are other requirements but if you meet these 2 then the others will fall into place.

Lots of Potential Here… But There Is a Problem

Mlm’s like this have a lot of earning potential for those that are really driven to succeed. If you advance up all the ranks then you are going to be doing very well. But the reality is that most people do not and mlm’s like this have extremely high turnover rates.

The mlm structure of this makes it more difficult for low ranked affiliates to make money. The reason for this is because money that they could potentially be making is getting taken away and paid to those above them in the form of commissions. Basically this plan takes away from those at the bottom and gives to those at the top. So you could consider it both good and bad in a way.

Conclusion on Prime My Body – Worthwhile?

First off, Prime My Body is not a scam by any means. The products they prove, while overprice in my opinion, are good quality from what I can tell and from what I have heard. Second, this business opportunity is worthwhile if you make it worthwhile.

Some people will succeed with this but as I said, most people will not. Mlm’s are tough businesses and you have to fight your way to the top. Moving up the ranks is essential if you want to make good money and this is easier said than done.

I wasn’t able to find an official income disclosure from this company but I have seen and looked into enough similar mlm’s, like Sisel & Cerule, to know that most people who join will fail.

So join if you think you have what it takes just don’t go into it thinking it will be easy. Things almost always sound better than what they are.

Something else that you might want to look into if you are looking for a work-from-home job is how I make money online. I make a living online and enjoy what I do. Here is the program that got me started and got me to where I currently am, which I am still a member of.

Is Chew The Fat Off a Scam? – [Honest Review]

Chew The Fat OffWelcome to my review of Chew The Fat Off.

If you are looking into this opportunity but are a little suspicious of the claims made then you are in the right place. Maybe you think it sounds too good to be true, maybe you are wondering is Chew The Fat Off a scam?…. whatever the case may be. In this review I’ll be going over a few important things you should know as well as one thing that you probably haven’t heard.

Chew The Fat Off Review

Chew The Fat Off (aka CTFO) is a weight loss company based in California that was founded by a man named Stuart Finger. They sell all sorts of products dealing with weight loss including meal replacement powders, appetite suppressants, immune support supplements and more.

One thing that is really nice about the company is that Stuart, the founder, was a “fat guy” that walked the walk and has lost the weight. He practiced what he preaches and that is always a good sign.

Overall the products are good and they seem to work. They won’t perform miracles but they are good products.

Besides the products another reason many people are interested in CTFO is because it is network marketing company which means that anyone can join as an associate and make money selling CTFO products to other people. It is also what you call a mlm (multi-level marketing) opportunity which means that associates can also make money by recruiting in other associates. But I’ll get into all of this later. First I want to go over the products a bit.

Related MLM’s that are involved in the weight-loss industry include Valentus, Sisel International, and Ariix.

The Products

Chew Off

These are chew-able appetite control supplements. Some of the active ingredients in them include raspberry ketones, cranberry juice powder, Sunfiber®, and vitamins + minerals.

Shake Off

Here you have your meal replacement shakes. They consist of a protein blend, Sunfiber®, and vitamins + minerals… all of which make a decently well-rounded meal.

Drink Off

This is a filtered water bottle that ensures you are drinking clean and pure water. Water is important if you want to lose weight so this is a good product.

Super 7

Super 7 is an immune support supplement that consists of 7 “superfruits” that are contain a lot of nutrients. These include Amla or Amalaki, Acai, Goji, Mangosteen, Pomegranate, Blueberry, and Cranberry.

Like I said, the products are good from what I see. They definitely aren’t miracle workers though. There are no magical ingredients in them. But many people joining seem to be joining more for the business opportunity side of it.

The Business Opportunity

As I mentioned earlier, anyone can join as an associate and make money by selling products themselves as well as by recruiting others into the business.

But before you can make money doing this you first need to qualify as an associate. This is easy to do because you just need to purchase 1 of the CTFO products per month to stay active. You must also recruit in 3 other associates to get access to the compensation plan that I’m about to go over…

The real money with this compensation plan is made from recruitment. They have a matrix in place that has multiplies by 3x with each level and goes down infinity number of levels.

You are at the top of your own matrix, beneath you there are 3 positions (level 1), beneath them are 9 positions (level 2), beneath them are 27 positions (level 3) and so on. Each level down multiplies by 3x. You will earn commissions from each person beneath you. The percentage you will earn will decrease as you go down the levels but the amount of associates on the levels as you go down will increase.

In an official promo video I watched for CTFO they gave an example of all 7 levels being completely filled and each person buying 1 bottle of Super7 per month, which costs $49.97 by the way. In this example you would be making $14,433 per month just by each person buying a single bottle of this product as you can see here…

HOWEVER…. things aren’t as simple as they may seem, which I’m guessing you were probably expecting.

Why This Isn’t as Easy as It Sounds

MLM’s like this are notoriously difficult to make money with. If you want a good shot at making money then it is an absolute necessity to recruit continuously. Opportunities like this have extremely high turnover rates because of how difficult they are so you have to be constantly recruiting.

There is a lot of potential to make a lot of money here but it is not easy. When you first start out the mlm structure of this business actually makes it more difficult to make money, which is why so many people quit. The reason for this is because money that you could potentially be making gets taken away and paid to the people above you in the form of commissions. The people at the top make more while those at the bottom make less, which accounts for the majority of associates.

Conclusion on Chew The Fat Off – Good Opportunity or Not?

Well first off.. Chew The Fat Off is not a scam just to give you a straight answer to that question. It is a legit business opportunity and the products are legitimate. You can potentially make good money with it but the difficulty of a mlm business opportunity like this should not be underestimated.

I would suggest that you only join if you actually like the products. That way if the business opportunity side of it doesn’t work out for you then at least you got to benefit from the products.

Something else that you might want to look into if you are looking for a work-from-home job is how I make money online. I make a living online and enjoy what I do. Here is the program that got me started and got me to where I currently am, which I am still a member of.

Cerule, Scam or Good Business Opportunity? – [Honest Review]

ceruleWelcome to my review of Cerule.

If you are looking to make some money with Cerule but hesitant to join then you are in the right place. Maybe you are wondering if this placed is legit or will Cerule scam you? Well I took the liberty of reviewing this place because I believe there are a few very important things that everyone should know beforehand…. things that aren’t typically discussed when it comes to the opportunity here.

Cerule Review

Cerule is a health & wellness company that sells some pretty interesting products.

As I write this they have 3 products: StemEnhance, Plasma Flo, and CyActive. StemEnhance is a supplement that is said to help your body’s process of stem-cell renewal and its main ingredient is an extract from the blue-green algae called Spirulina. Then there is PlasmaFlo which also has some potent natural source extracts that is said to help bloodflow and capillary health. Lastly there is CyActive which contains phycocyanin extract from Spirulina with the purpose of promoting inflammation.

There is a lot of scientific research to back up the benefits that the ingredients in these products have, so they should be effective. However, at around $80 a bottle this is a bit ridiculous if you ask me.

But anyway… the purpose of this review is to look at the business opportunity here, not the products. This business is what you call a mlm (multi-level marketing) opportunity. Anyone can join in as a member and make money, which I will be going over now…

How You Make Money

This is your pretty typical mlm as far as I see it. The PayPlan is full of starter packs, fast start bonuses, matching bonuses, a 7 level unilevel commission structure, a bonus pool, and even a car bonus incentive.

The first and fastest way you will be able to earn money is through their Fast Start Bonuses. These are bonuses paid when you recruit people in and get them to purchase Starter Packs. When someone joins the business they must purchase these starter packs which are filled with business training material and products to sell, all of which are designed to help you get your own Cerule business up and running. When you get others to buy these you will earn money along with the person that recruited you in.

Earning commissions is what is going to be the big earner here. They have 7 level deep unilevel commissions structure which means you can earn money from the people you directly recruit in (level 1), the people that they recruit in (level 2), the people that level 2 recruits in (level 3), and so on.

But you can’t earn from all 7 levels beneath you right away. In order to do that you have to move up the ranks. And of course moving up the ranks is all about building a bigger downline, which means recruitment.

What I Like, What I Don’t Like

Honestly I like the products here, other than the price. I’ve always been a fan of spirulina and actually supplement it regularly.

But as far as the biz opp goes, it has some upsides and downsides.

What is nice about mlm’s like this is that there is a lot of room to advance in the company. There are many ranks and with each rank you will earn more and more money. This gives people hope and a reason to want to do better.

The problem with this is that with a pyramid-like commission structure, as this has, it makes it more difficult to make money when you are near the bottom. Much of the money that people on the bottom could be making gets taken away and paid to people near the top in the form of commissions. And of course there are always going to be many more people near the bottom struggling than at the top, which is why there are always such high turnover rates in businesses like this.

All mlm’s are like this to some degree. I just reviewed Sisel International & Life Force, they are the same deal.

Another problem I have with this place is that pretty much all of their focus is on recruitment rather than product sales to the general public. They are going down the wrong road with this… the pyramid scheme road. There was nothing on the official company website or in the PayPlan that talks about retail customer sales. Its entirely focused on recruitment. This is going to be a legal problem down the road.

Conclusion on Cerule – Should You Join?

The decision of joining or not is ultimately up to you. I don’t think I’d call this place a scam although I will say it leans very much towards the pyramid scheme side of things. But hey, if you like their products and think you have what it takes to recruit then go for it. Just know it won’t be easy. You will need to recruit constantly to make good money with a mlm like this. This is easier said than done and that is why most people fail in these businesses.

Something else that you might want to look into if you are looking for a work-from-home job is how I make money online. I make a living online and enjoy what I do. Here is the program that got me started and got me to where I currently am, which I am still a member of.
